Chapter 3 - Abyss of Sin System

However, the truth is: whether the world is chaotic or not is never up to the protagonist.

No matter how much of a headache Kevin had, his helpless anger was still just that—helpless. All he could do was accept reality and search for a way to survive.

First: the inheritance of the O'Connor Family.

As a family that had operated in New York for over a hundred years, the wealth Kevin inherited could only be described as enormous.

Don't be fooled by the fact that they worked in the funeral business—generations of accumulation had built something massive.

Aside from hundreds of millions in cash, there were stocks, funds, investments, and real estate properties he couldn't even count himself.

Kevin believed that any profession was simply a "division of labor," and it didn't stop him in the slightest from enjoying the benefits of capitalism.

But after more than twenty years of living comfortably as a rich second-generation heir… fate, as always, didn't spare a transmigrator.

Even if he didn't have deep emotional attachment, the sheer scale of his family's fortune was enough to push him to investigate the truth behind his parents' deaths.

According to his memories, his parents had gone to Europe to attend a relative's wedding. But the venue was hit by a terrorist attack—over 200 people were killed by explosions and the collapse of the church.

But this explanation… honestly, it was an insult to intelligence.

Not only was targeting a wedding strange, but the amount of explosives needed to destroy a church and kill over 200 people was far beyond what ordinary terrorists could obtain.

Reality had proven a strange rule:

When fate wants to give you a great responsibility, it first makes you transmigrate… then wrecks your life… and finally gives you a system so you can start working all over again.

And at the very moment Kevin began to question the truth behind his parents' deaths…

The system finally appeared.

Kevin: Σ(っ °Д °;)っ

"Damn it! System! We can talk about turning this into a system novel later, but what's with all these 'unable to evaluate' stats?! That's straight-up insulting, isn't it?! At least tell me the standards!"

After reading all of this, Kevin finally calmed down a bit.

Regardless of why the system had appeared, it was obvious that his parents' deaths were no ordinary accident… and he had likely already been dragged into something dangerous.

In a situation like this, there was only one safe choice:

Become stronger.

Now he understood why all his stats were "unable to evaluate"…

Even the lowest E-rank required someone like a trained soldier—while he was just a pampered rich kid!

"System, how many Sin Points do I have?"

[ Current Sin Points: 2572 ]

[ The initial draw is free and will directly integrate a suitable character with the host ]

"How do I get Sin Points?"

[ Two methods:

Killing sinful individuals or ending criminal events Completing system missions ]

"My points came from my family… huh. Seems like they weren't as innocent as I thought."

Then his expression suddenly changed.

"Wait… killing criminals gives rewards?! Isn't that dangerous guidance? This is America! If I go to Wall Street with a gun… wouldn't I earn a lot?!"

Despite all the questions, Kevin knew one thing clearly:

Power came first.

"In other words, the initial draw is a beginner bonus, right?"

[ Warning: Character templates can only be drawn once per permission level. Abilities do not stack but overwrite instead ]

"So it's like letting a powerful soul possess me… but too many, and I'll lose myself, right?"

Even so, he had no choice.

"Start the draw."
