Chapter 23 - Chapter 132 Suppression

The sound of horses' hooves echoed.

Galon led his cavalry to the stream the old farmer had mentioned in just one hour.

A group of about fifty or sixty Ironborn were laughing and joking as they drove some farmers to cut down nearby trees in preparation for building boats to escape down the river.

Hearing the sound of horses' hooves, they instinctively turned their heads to look back, and a familiar flag came into view.

"Damn it, it's Glover!"

"Run! Run!"

The Ironborn were terrified when they saw the Glover's flag.

Some of them darted into the nearby woods, while others jumped into the swift-flowing river in a panic, disregarding the icy cold water, and forcibly crossed to escape to the other side.

"kill-"

Galon's eyes were icy cold. With a wave of his hand, the demon cavalrymen drew their bows and shot arrows at Ironborn.

call out-

Arrows rained down, accompanied by screams of agony, and the river was instantly stained red.

In the blink of an eye, most of the Ironborn who had forcibly crossed the river collapsed in the river, their bodies swept away by the water.

Only a handful of Ironborns managed to swim downstream thanks to their excellent swimming skills.

Galon then turned his gaze to the Ironborn who had disappeared into the forest and commanded, "Go, leave no one alive!"

The cavalry behind them immediately spurred their horses forward, surrounding the entire forest.

Three cavalry units ventured deep into the forest, where the sounds of battle rang out and then quickly ceased.

In a very short moment.

The game of cat and mouse has come to a complete end.

"grown ups!"

Shanks led three men, dressed in dirty chainmail, over. "Hmm?"

Galon glanced at the three people he was holding down with a puzzled look before asking Shanks, "Who are they?"

Shanks explained, "These three aren't Ironborn, but soldiers from the First Men's Desolate Tomb. According to Ironborn, they helped him raid in order to survive..."

"Hang them up!" Galon's voice was icy and brooked no argument. "Then gather everyone together!"

Shanks obeyed orders to hang the three men from a large tree by the river, and then drove the numb farmer in front of the tree.

"Everyone!"

Galon stood on a rock in front of the big tree, looking at his cavalry and the rescued farmers.

"The North is under attack by the Ironborn, and I, Winterfell..." Stark's mission is to wipe out the Ironborn and protect our home!

"But they one"

He turned and pointed at the three men hanging there, his voice booming, "They were supposed to protect our homeland, but instead they helped the Ironborn burn down their own villages and rape their own women!"

"Tell me, should they have been killed?"

Not only Galon's cavalry, but even the rescued farmers glared at the three hanging figures with hatred, cursing them.

"He deserves to die! He deserves to die!"

"Hang them!"

"Yes, hang them!"

Hearing the angry roars of the crowd, the three people hanging up turned pale. One of them, who was thin, trembled and lost control of his bladder.

Galon smelled urine in the air and didn't bother to say anything more.

"Hang them and all the nearby Ironborn corpses from the nearby trees."

"I want everyone who passes through here, whether they are fleeing Ironborn or restless bandits, to see clearly—this is the consequence of committing violence on the land of the North!"

The command was executed swiftly.

As the last rays of the setting sun shone, the grotesque corpses hung from the bare branches of trees.

Like some terrifying yet solemn declaration, it proclaimed that this land had welcomed a new master, who would restore order through iron-fisted means.

After all this was done, Jon Snow and Karstark's captain of the guard rushed over with the remaining infantry.

"grown ups!"

Jon's expression was grave. He glanced at the corpse hanging from the tree and then whispered to Galon.

" Sir Lambert Toha has sent a messenger; the situation at Torrhens Square... is not good. "

"This isn't good?" Galon frowned. " Did Crows Eye really go to Torrhens Square?"

Jon shook his head and waved to the travel-worn messenger behind him.

The messenger immediately strode forward and pulled a slightly soiled letter from his pocket.

" Lord Glover, please, save Torrhens Square... Lord Lambert... is furious, but he can't do anything about it."

The messenger's incoherent words left Galon completely bewildered.

His eyes flashed, and as he took the letter, he reassured her, "Don't rush, tell me slowly, what exactly happened at Torrhens Square?"

After saying that, he opened the envelope and, with the help of a torch nearby, read the contents of the letter.

Now, without needing a messenger's reply, Galon knew exactly what had happened at Torrhens Square.

As his gaze swept across the words on the letter, the air around him seemed to freeze.

His expression was instantly replaced by extreme shock and growing rage.

"Okay, okay!"

Enraged, Galon slammed the letter against a nearby tree trunk, causing the corpses on the tree to shake and startling the officers and soldiers around him.

" Lord Glover, what has happened?"

Karstark's captain of guards approached, full of doubt, and asked.

Galon threw the letter at him, "Look for yourself, what a bunch of bastards!"

Captain Karstark quickly skimmed through the letter, his expression gradually becoming blank.

"How could this be... Torrhens Square... so... cowardly?"

He now finally understood why Galon was angry, and even he was just as incredulous and shocked.

Lambert Toha described the situation at Torrhens Square in detail in his letter.

The bodies of family members were hung on the city walls, and the castle was reduced to ruins.

But what made him even more desperate was that the surviving knights and minor nobles from the nearby fiefdoms, with their remaining troops, huddled in the crumbling castle, terrified by the Ironborn's brutality.

They watched helplessly as small groups of defeated Ironborn soldiers passed by the city and fled towards the coast, but no one dared to leave the city to pursue them.

Lambert, unable to command them, could only write this letter in vain, expressing his anger and instructing Galon to take charge.

"You who broke your oath!"

Karstark realized what was happening and his tone was filled with disdain for Torrhens Square.

"These treacherous people actually threatened their own lord, allowing the enemies who had wreaked havoc on their family to swagger away."

" Lord Glover, I suggest we head to Torrhens Square immediately to take charge!"

Jon's face flushed with anger. "That's right, we have to go as soon as possible. They've completely disgraced the North!"

Although Galon was equally furious, he remained calm and saw an opportunity to intervene in Torrhens Square.

He sighed softly, "The honor of the North has been completely devoured by these parasites!"

He paused, then met Karstark and Jon's gazes and spoke.

"This can't go on any longer. Let Barrenhome deal with the remaining enemies on Bear Island. We'll head to Torrhens Square tomorrow!"

His gaze became sharp and firm, all previous weariness vanished, replaced by an unquestionable decisiveness.

"Give the order to the entire army!"

"Break camp at dawn tomorrow—target: Torrhens Square!"
