Chapter 79 - Chapter 79 - The Miracle of Awakening!

A few moments later.

A new magical circle opened silently inside a spacious hospital located in the territory of the Sitri Clan. The pinkish glow gradually dissipated, revealing Alear and Serafall in an elegant corridor lined with white marble.

The reason Misla was hospitalized there was actually quite simple. Years ago, when she was afflicted by the Sleeping Disease, Sairaorg decided to transfer her to one of the best hospitals in Sitri territory. At that time, he was still facing strong opposition for being the heir of the Bael Family without possessing the Power of Destruction, and there were many people who disapproved of his position. Fearing that someone might use his mother's condition to pressure him or harm her, he concluded that it would be much safer to keep her away from the domains of the Bael Family, in a neutral location, where she could receive the best medical care and remain protected. Since then, Misla had continued under the care of that hospital, waiting for a miracle that, until today, no one had been able to perform....

Without delay, one of the butlers who cared for her led the two to the hospital room where the patient was waiting.....

Upon crossing the heavy wooden doors, Alear found a surprisingly spacious room. The walls were lined in an elegant ivory tone, decorated only with a few discreet paintings and shelves filled with books on medicine and magic. Large windows allowed the soft afternoon light to illuminate the environment, while delicate white curtains swayed gently with the breeze. The air had a pleasant aroma of medicinal herbs, the result of various vials and incense burners scattered on tables near the bed.

A few seconds later, the door opened again.

Sairaorg entered accompanied by Kuisha Abaddon, his Queen. The young Bael heir walked straight up to Alear before bowing his head slightly in a sign of respect.

"Although I have already done this several times during our previous meeting. Alear... once again, I sincerely thank you for coming."

Alear simply smiled calmly.

"You don't need to thank me. I haven't even started the treatment yet."

Sairaorg shook his head.

"Of course I do." His expression remained serious, but there was evident gratitude in his voice. "Even without knowing if you'll be able to heal her, you agreed to try to help her. That alone already means a lot to me... I feel that even if I thanked you a thousand times, it still wouldn't be enough..."

His gaze then turned to Serafall.

"But I confess I also didn't expect to receive a visit from Leviathan-sama."

Serafall smiled in a relaxed manner and waved her hand lightly.

"You don't need to be so formal with me." She replied naturally. "I just decided to accompany Ale-chan because the matter is too important and it piqued my curiosity. If he really manages to do what he's imagining, this could completely change the future of medicine in the Underworld."

Sairaorg immediately understood the meaning of those words.

"I see."

He simply gave a discreet nod, without adding anything else.

Alear then shifted his attention to the bed positioned in the center of the room.

Lying there was a woman with a serene appearance. Her long brown hair was carefully spread across the white pillow, contrasting with her extremely pale skin. Even after sleeping for so many years, her face preserved a mature and delicate beauty, marked by soft and elegant features. Her eyes remained closed, while her slow and steady breathing was the only evidence that she was still alive. She wore a thin white nightgown, and her hands rested calmly on her abdomen, as if she were simply enjoying a peaceful sleep.

For a few moments, Alear observed Misla in silence, carefully analyzing her condition.

Then, he turned to Sairaorg, Kuisha, and Serafall.

"I'm going to start the treatment now." His tone of voice remained calm but firm. "During the process, I ask that no one interrupt or interfere, regardless of what happens. Until I say I'm finished, just observe in silence."

The three nodded almost at the same time, understanding the seriousness of the moment. The room fell into absolute silence as Alear walked slowly to the bed and stopped beside Misla. His gaze traveled over the woman's body for a few moments, carefully analyzing her condition before reaching a conclusion.

As he had imagined, the 'Sleeping Disease' was really not difficult to solve. At least not for him. The origin of that ailment was not in the body, but in the soul. In some devils, for reasons still unknown, demonic power evolved incompletely. This flaw ended up generating an incompatibility between the soul and the body, causing the consciousness to remain trapped in a deep sleep, unable to awaken on its own, while the devil stayed alive and slowly died....

However, for someone who possessed the [Idle Transfiguration] ability, that problem was quite simple to solve. It was enough to reshape the soul, correcting that incompatibility until it once again harmonized perfectly with the body. Once that balance was restored, the consciousness would naturally regain control of the organism, ending the 'Sleeping Disease' definitively.

Alear raised his hand and gently placed it on Misla's forehead. In the next instant, a pinkish-red glow enveloped his palm. The energy spread rapidly, enveloping the woman's entire body in a soft and translucent aura. For a few seconds, the [Idle Transfiguration] reshaped her soul with extreme precision, eliminating the incompatibility that kept her trapped in the Sleeping Disease and restoring perfect harmony between her soul and her body.

A few moments later, the pinkish-red glow disappeared completely.

Alear calmly withdrew his hand from Misla's forehead and took a step back, maintaining the same serene expression as before.

"I'm done."

Serafall widened her eyes slightly. She had expected a treatment for a disease considered incurable to take much longer. Beside her, Kuisha was also watching Alear with an expression of shock and disbelief, clearly not knowing what to think after seeing everything end in a matter of seconds.

"...Already?"

Sairaorg blinked several times, unable to hide his surprise. For him, the treatment had lasted only a few moments.

"How did it go? Did the treatment wor—"

"Hm..."

A weak groan interrupted his question.

At the same instant, everyone turned their attention to the bed.

Misla's fingers moved slightly. Her eyelids trembled before beginning to open, gradually revealing a pair of eyes still clouded by confusion. She blinked several times, trying to adjust to the brightness of the room, while her breathing became a little deeper. After so many years, her consciousness was finally awakening.

Sairaorg remained completely still.

His body began to tremble involuntarily as he took a step forward, as if he could barely believe what he was seeing. His voice came out in an almost imperceptible whisper.

"...Mother?"

Upon hearing that voice, Misla slowly turned her head in his direction. Her gaze rested on the imposing black-haired man beside the bed. She remained watching him for a few moments, clearly confused, as if trying to fit that face into the memories she still retained.

Then, her eyes widened slightly.

"...Sairaorg?"

Sairaorg could no longer control himself.

Tears began to flow freely down his face as he approached the bed, his shoulders shaking.

"...Mother..."

Kneeling beside her, he gently held one of her hands, as if fearing that the moment would disappear if he applied too much force.

Misla smiled with infinite tenderness. Slowly, she raised her arm and caressed her son's hair, exactly as she did when he was still a child.

"My adorable Sairaorg..."

Her voice was soft, filled with a affection that not even the long years of sleep had erased.

"Even while I slept... it was as if I accompanied your growth in my dreams."

Her fingers slid gently across his face, wiping away some of his tears.

"You have become a splendid person... I am very proud of you."

Sairaorg closed his eyes for a brief moment. Unable to contain the emotion he had repressed for so many years, he leaned forward and carefully embraced his mother, taking care not to hurt her. Misla returned the hug without hesitation, wrapping her arms around him while slowly caressing his back. A warm smile illuminated her face, and, for the first time in many years, mother and son could finally reunite.....

Observing that scene in silence, Alear cast a brief glance at Serafall.

With a discreet nod, he indicated the door.

Serafall immediately understood. Still impressed by what she had just witnessed, she simply nodded in silence.

Kuisha also understood his intentions. That reunion was a moment that belonged only to Sairaorg and his mother.

Without saying a single word, the three left the room and carefully closed the door behind them, preserving the privacy of the two.

As soon as they reached the corridor, Kuisha stopped walking.

She remained silent for a few seconds, taking a deep breath to control her own emotion.

Then, she bowed deeply before Alear.

"Thank you very much, Archduke Häangenti..."

Her voice trembled, filled with gratitude.

"I will never be able to express how much this means to Sairaorg... and to me."

As she slowly raised her head, her eyes were already watery.

"For all these years, he never gave up searching for a way to save Misla-sama. Even when everyone said it was impossible, he kept believing. Today... you accomplished what no one else could." She placed one hand on her chest, trying to contain the emotions overflowing at that moment. "You returned to my King the most important person in his life. For this favor... I will be eternally grateful."

Alear simply shook his head with a calm smile, as if he saw no reason for so much formality.

"You don't need to thank me for this. I consider Sairaorg a friend. If there is something within my reach that can help him, it's natural that I do it. Besides, for me, healing Misla was not a sacrifice nor an extraordinary favor. I simply solved a problem that I was capable of solving."

Kuisha remained still for a few moments, observing him in silence. Over the years, she had met countless nobles and influential leaders of the Underworld. Most made a point of turning any small help into an opportunity to demand future favors, increase their own influence, or collect political debts. Alear, however, acted completely differently. After accomplishing something that all the Underworld's specialists had considered impossible for decades, he simply treated it as a natural gesture between friends, without demanding anything in return.

A gentle smile appeared on her lips.

"Now I understand a little better why Sairaorg-sama respects you so much." She placed one hand on her chest while looking at him with sincere admiration. "Your strength would already be worthy of respect on its own, but your character manages to be even more admirable. I am sure that my King will never forget what you did today."

Alear simply shrugged.

"I hope he forgets this debt as quickly as possible." He replied with a light laugh. "Friendships get complicated when one of the people insists on turning everything into an obligation."

The words drew a discreet smile from Kuisha.

"Perhaps... but knowing Sairaorg-sama, that will be impossible."

Beside them, Serafall remained completely silent.

Although her face retained its usual expression, her gaze was distant, as if she were organizing her own thoughts. Since the moment Misla opened her eyes, she had barely said a single word.

After exchanging a few more farewells, Alear turned his attention back to Kuisha.

"I'll leave you to enjoy this family moment. I'm sure they have a lot to talk about."

Kuisha nodded immediately.

"Once again... thank you very much for everything."

"Until next time."

With a brief wave of his hand, Alear and Serafall said goodbye and began walking down the long hospital corridor. The environment remained silent, interrupted only by the sound of their footsteps echoing on the polished marble floor. Doctors, nurses, and staff occasionally passed through the corridors, greeting Serafall with deep respect before continuing their duties.

For several minutes, neither of them said a word.

Alear noticed the Maou's unusual behavior and cast a sideways glance at her.

"You're strangely quiet."

Serafall let out a small sigh before finally stopping walking. Her normally cheerful and relaxed countenance had completely disappeared, giving way to a serious expression that few people had the opportunity to see.

"Because... I really just witnessed a miracle, Ale-chan." She remained silent for a brief moment before continuing. "I'm still trying to process everything that just happened. You said you believed you could cure the Sleeping Disease, and I trusted you... but hearing that possibility and seeing it happen before my own eyes are completely different things."

"Besides.... there is another person I would like you to heal...."

He raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Another person?"

She confirmed with a nod.

"Ingvild Leviathan...."

Upon pronouncing that name, her expression became even more serious.

"She belongs to the original Leviathan lineage and, many years ago, was also afflicted by the Sleeping Disease. She was the one I thought about the entire time after I saw you heal Misla. If you really can treat this disease definitively... then perhaps Ingvild can be saved too."

She took a step forward, looking directly into Alear's eyes.

"Ale-chan..." A slight smile appeared on her face, although her eyes remained filled with expectation. "Come with me. I want to take you to her."
