Chapter 97 - An Encounter in the Sky

After finishing The Book of Intellect, Lewis spent several more pleasant hours chatting with Jaina before finally parting ways.

Having been away from her homeland for twelve long years, even someone as rational as Jaina couldn't suppress her longing for Azeroth.

And Lewis—conveniently—became the perfect listener.

Though he wasn't a native of Azeroth, his past life gave him knowledge that went far beyond hers. Some secrets he casually mentioned were things even Jaina herself had never known.

By the end of their conversation, in Jaina's eyes, Lewis felt more like a true Azeroth native than anyone else.

It even gave her the strange comfort of "meeting an old friend in a foreign land."

Before parting, they exchanged addresses and agreed to visit each other in the future.

During the entire exchange, Lewis never once brought up his grand ambitions—overturning the wizarding world, building a floating city.

Not because he didn't want to.

But because he didn't need to.

Jaina and Ciri were fundamentally different.

Both were spellcasters. Both were princesses.

But their ways of thinking couldn't be more different.

Ciri lacked the typical mindset of a mage. After her kingdom fell, she had been raised under the White Wolf, shaped more by witchers than nobility—emotional, instinctive, like a wandering ranger.

Jaina, on the other hand, had been a true princess from the beginning.

She had received full aristocratic education and formal arcane training. She was mature, rational, pragmatic—a true mage.

With someone like her, Lewis didn't need to sell dreams or paint visions.

His current strength alone was enough.

Jaina would naturally understand—

If she ever wanted to return to Azeroth, the one person most likely to make that happen…

Was Lewis Green.

No words needed.

After leaving Jaina, Lewis didn't linger. He departed the Ministry early.

The three of them stayed at Tonks' house for two days before returning to the tower using Lewis's Teleportation.

Following his plan, Lewis planted the Demiplane Seed within the tower, successfully converting the tower and its surrounding area into a demiplane.

He then bound it to the Magnificent Mansion spell.

From that moment on, no matter where he was, he could return home instantly.

With the ceremony behind them, life returned to peace.

Hermione had finally mastered basic broom flight and no longer needed practice sessions. She poured all her spare time into studying, her diligence making even Ciri feel a little ashamed.

As for Lewis—

He began focusing on his Wild Shape.

His research on the Chimera had paid off perfectly.

Where the original Chimera embodied the negative traits of its components, Lewis's version embodied the positive aspects—aligned with the four Hogwarts houses.

Instead of something monstrous and evil, his Chimera form radiated majesty and righteousness.

In Chimera form, his attributes became:

Strength: 25

Dexterity: 18

Constitution: 22

Intelligence: 18

Wisdom: 17

Charisma: 14

He gained immense magic resistance, regeneration, and breath abilities.

Each of the four components corresponded to an element:

Lion (Fire): Flame breath

Eagle (Air): Lightning breath

Badger (Earth): Acid breath

Snake (Water): Frost breath

Each also granted unique abilities:

The lion's roar inspired allies and intimidated enemies.

The eagle's wings allowed flight and wind manipulation.

The badger's claws enabled digging and underground movement.

The snake granted infrared vision and venomous fangs.

Overall, Lewis's close-combat power increased dramatically.

But in exchange, he lost most of his spellcasting ability—retaining only simple body-based magic and druidic spells.

Only his psionic abilities remained fully intact.

He then experimented with adjusting the proportions of each creature within the Chimera.

By shifting these "factors," he could alter the form:

Remove the eagle entirely, and the wings—and flight—disappeared.

While the default Chimera was the most balanced and powerful form, this system had one major advantage—

It allowed him to transform into pure forms.

Lion Form

Strength: 25, Dexterity: 16, Constitution: 22

Abilities: Magic resistance, regeneration, flame breath, lion's roar

Eagle Form

Strength: 18, Dexterity: 18, Constitution: 22

Abilities: Magic resistance, regeneration, lightning breath, flight

Badger Form

Strength: 15, Dexterity: 16, Constitution: 22

Abilities: Magic resistance, regeneration, acid breath, digging

Snake Form

Strength: 17, Dexterity: 18, Constitution: 22

Abilities: Magic resistance, regeneration, frost breath, infrared vision, venom, constriction

In these forms, he could pass as ordinary animals—far less conspicuous than a Chimera.

He could even register as an Animagus if he wanted.

Of course—

He wouldn't.

All in all, choosing Chimera as his first Wild Shape had been absolutely the right decision.

At the same time, he could feel the limit—

Before attempting another Wild Ritual, he would need to wait at least three months.

Otherwise, his body wouldn't withstand the strain.

And that was with his improved constitution.

Previously, it might have taken half a year—or more.

After mastering his transformations, Lewis often wandered near Ottery St. Catchpole in beast form.

Sometimes as a badger, digging tunnels.

Sometimes as a snake, slipping silently through the grass.

But his favorite—

Was becoming an eagle and soaring through the sky.

That night, as usual, he prepared for a flight.

Hermione, having studied all day, wanted a break—so he decided to take her along.

As they soared above the clouds, enjoying the cool night wind—

They suddenly saw something strange.

A turquoise car burst through the clouds, flying straight toward them.

In the open sky, with nowhere to hide—

Both sides saw each other clearly.

And so—

At over 2,000 meters in the air—

A completely absurd encounter unfolded.

On one side: Lewis and Hermione on the back of a giant eagle.

On the other: a flying car carrying four Gryffindors.

"Good evening, Harry, Ron… and Fred and George."

"Good evening, Hermione!"

"Why are you all up here?!"
