Dorian continued the story after explaining how his father had started Aldrith Corp. There were still parts of the history that remained a mystery even after all those years. Generations of Aldriths had searched for answers and questioned what had caused such a sudden change between two families that had once been close enough to consider each other allies.
"I don't know why they did it," Dorian said. "And no one ever knew why Rhodes turned their backs on us so suddenly out of the blue when we needed them most."
He shook his head slightly as he spoke about the one part of the story that had never been solved. It was the question that had followed the Aldrith family from one generation to another. Every person who had heard the story had asked the same thing. Why did the Rhodes pack ignore their request for help? Why did Vincent Rhodes abandon a man who had once been his closest friend? Why did they refuse to even explain themselves afterwards?
