Chapter 1 - God With Me

Chapter 1

Here's a gentle, heartfelt story for you:

There was once a poor girl named Meera who lived in a small, broken hut at the edge of a quiet village. Her clothes were worn, her meals were simple, and many nights she went to sleep with an empty stomach. But even in her hardest moments, Meera never felt truly alone.

Every morning, before the sun rose, she would fold her hands and whisper,

"God, I know you are with me."

People in the village often pitied her. Some would say, "If God is really with you, why are you so poor?"

Meera would just smile and reply, "Maybe I am poor in things, but I am rich in His presence."

One winter night, a terrible storm hit the village. The winds howled, and rain poured through the cracks of her tiny hut. Meera shivered in the cold, hugging herself tightly. She closed her eyes and prayed, "God, I trust you. Please stay with me tonight."

Suddenly, she heard a knock.

When she opened the door, she found an old woman standing there, drenched and trembling. Without hesitation, Meera brought her inside, gave her the only dry cloth she had, and shared her last piece of bread.

"Why would you give me everything when you have so little?" the old woman asked.

Meera smiled softly. "Because I'm not alone. God is with me. And if He is with me, I have enough to share."

The old woman's eyes filled with tears. In that moment, something strange happened—the room felt warm, the storm outside seemed to quiet, and a soft glow filled the hut.

The old woman revealed herself not as a stranger, but as a messenger of God.

"Meera," she said gently, "God has always been with you—not in riches, but in your kindness, your faith, and your courage."

The next morning, the storm had passed. Villagers came to check on Meera and were surprised to find her hut standing strong while many others had been damaged. From that day on, her life slowly changed—people began helping her, opportunities came her way—but Meera never forgot what she already knew:

God had been with her all along.

Not in wealth.

Not in comfort.

But in every moment she chose love over fear.

And so, Meera remained the richest girl in the village—because she carried something no one could take away:

Faith that never left her side.
