Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Chapter 1: Before the Fall

Alex lives an ordinary life, every day is like the day before.

He wakes up with the sound of his alarm, quickly puts on his school uniform, eats breakfast and heads for the bus.

In class, he listens to teachers, writes assignments, sometimes stares out the window, sees trees moving with the wind, contemplates his colleagues, and is bored by everything repeated.

After school, he comes home, sits at his desk, opens his books and starts finishing homework.

Simple tasks, but they consume his time until he puts the pen down and closes the books.

Here begins his favorite world of games.

He sits in front of the computer, opens his favorite game, dives into virtual worlds full of adventure and challenge but today he felt something different.

While sitting in the class, he had an idea of what if he developed his game?

A new, more realistic, more exciting version, so that the player feels like he is actually living inside the game.

He returned home, started editing codes and experimenting with graphics, everything was going as planned until that moment.

During the test of the last version, the screen suddenly shook, the colors of the game began to flash in a strange way, and the sounds within the game became more clear as if around him.

He tried to close the game, but the keys didn't respond.

Suddenly, he felt something pulling his body.

He could not move, he couldn't scream, then he found himself standing on a strange surface, feeling dizzy, the air around him was heavy but clean, and the island under his feet didn't know anything about it anymore.

Everything looks strange: the buildings are familiar, but they're different, the roads aren't what he knows, the shadows move as if it were alive, every corner may hide something that he didn't expect.

Even the colors were sharper, deeper, as if the world itself was bigger and heavier than any game she had ever played.

His gaze wanders around the place, looking for anything familiar, but nothing looks like what he knows.

Every step he takes evokes a feeling of the unknown, his heart beating quickly, filled with a mixture of awe, fear and enthusiasm.

Then he flashed a name on the map that resembled ShadowX.

He doesn't know anything about him, he hasn't seen him before, but he feels that his presence adds a lot of weight and mystery to the place.

Alex felt that this game was not just a game.

Everything around him could be a friend or a potential threat at any moment.

He took a deep breath, his heart was beating fast and despite the fear he began to move.

Slowly land on the roof of the abandoned school, each step feels like a new world that he has never known before.

Strange silence, the wind blows through broken windows, and everything around it seems unknown as if waiting for one wrong step to reveal its secrets.

From the distant shadows, he began to hear footsteps.

Her voice is sharp and clear, the tension increases with each second, and every part of her body is tight.

He didn't know who they were, but he felt that the real match had begun now and everything was forever changed.
