After the previous night I wasn't able to think properly, just think about it! You find a strange old box that contains dates, phone numbers, photos..photos that contain your dad's dead body on the snow! No! that's not normal at all.
How all of this came all out of a sudden?! I think I will go crazy because of that.
I.. I need to concentrate...i got work to do…and maybe I would ask my friend john at the office.
Maybe I forgot to tell you the details, I apologize.
I work in a office full of detectives in the middle of the city and its location is in "Top of the world" skyscraper, why an office full of detectives of government in a place like this?
Because it's a camouflage this office used to be for a media press office and that's what we work as in front of the people. Ok enough talk and now to the work, I think.

Once I walked in the office everything was normal. Almost normal actually, why I said that?
Well…this was the first time I see the director walking from one detective to another, as I remember the director doesn't leave his office until….
At that moment I heard the director calling out loud my name so I moved quickly towards him while I was standing at the outdoor.
Direct yourself to my office and bring john with you also i want both of you there. The director said that while he got his eyes focused on me in a strange way but I responded in the same second, he finished his words with "Yes sir!"
Then I walked to john place and brought him while he was drinking coffee and was greeting me "oh, good morning, Max! hey! Hey! Hey! What's wrong with you?"
Shut up and move with me now, the director wants us to his office now. I replied.
When we got to the director's office he wasn't there yet so we just sat down at the chairs in the front of the director's desk but when we did that we found a lot of files and photos on the desk and they wasn't sorted at all so it means that when the director saw it he ran immediately to talk to the other detectives…but why he could want us? We are the youngest ones here but in the other side he didn't pick any of the old experienced ones.
I hope this ends well…if you know what I mean of course. John said that while he was looking at the stuff on the desk.
After he said that the director entered the office and said "don't worry john! It will be ok...i hope to be."
Is it that bad? John said.
The director took some papers out of the file that was on the desk and showed them to us.
These papers are about an unsolved crime, a murder specifically. The date of the crime date was 12//12/2014
That date is pretty familiar, I thought about that when the director said it.
The weapon was a knife, a normal kitchen knife.
Details of the crime unknown but what we know is that the victim was a developer at a startup company in this town, and we all know this company because it's not a startup anymore.
It's "the white flower" company, the biggest technical partner to the government now.
That developer name is "Lin" he was a Moroccan Korean 28 young man, he was stabbed to death with 22 stab all around his chest and stomach, three hits directly to the heart, 2 to the neck from right and left and the rest were directed to his stomach and chest.
He was killed near to his place at the right far side of the town, some people said that they saw someone talking to him before the time of the incident…the case was reopened again this morning and the company wants to know who was the killer and this request is based on Lin's family so we got no choice except finding out who's our man.
And before you ask, I chose both of you specially because you're the young ones here in the office and you 2 are real smart kids. In addition to that…most of the other detectives worked on this case when it happened at first time but they got to a dead end so they "don't want to re-enter the same maze" as they say.
So…what you're saying about this offer guys? Are you in?
After we heard all of that details we were on fire as this will be out first case but on the other hand we got an unknown killer for almost 14 years and a family demanding to know the identity of their son killer. That what was running in my head.
But…we bit the bullet after few seconds of thinking and agreed on this case.
Congrats on your first official case young detectives! Hope the best for you in it and we all depends on you. The director said.
As we were assigned officially to this case and the papers were transferred to the court to start the first trial session after 14 years of waiting.
I hope this case ends well. That what john said after we got out of the director's office.
Indeed, this would be a hard one but we can do it so don't worry. I replied to him.
