Chapter 5 - question

Pov : *Suddenly2 itachi genjutsu me and asked*

The world around you suddenly spins. The damp prison walls and cold iron chains vanished in an instant, replaced by a blood-red void with a black crescent hanging statically in the sky.

You are inside Tsukuyomi.

In front of you, the figure of Itachi Uchiha stands with an Akatsuki robe fluttering slowly, although there is no wind in this dimension. His gaze was no longer as cold as when he was in front of Pain; There was a flash of deep pain and vigilance in his eyes.

Interrogation in an Illusory World

Itachi stepped closer, his footsteps silently above the surface of the red water on which you were standing. In this world, he is in complete control of time, mass, and space.

"Here, one second can feel like a thousand years of suffering for others," Itachi's voice echoed slowly but piercingly. "But I'm not here to torture you, Zak... If my assumptions are correct."

It stops right in front of you, its Sharingan spinning slowly.

"Tell me... What was the real purpose of a man with a strength like you infiltrating this cursed place? And more importantly... what is your relationship with Tsunade-sama?"

Itachi tilted his head slightly. "I know Konoha's aura. And I saw how your eyes changed when the Fifth Hokage's name was mentioned. If you are a pawn sent to die, you are too valuable. But if you are the protector... Why did you let yourself get caught?"

Your Choices in Genjutsu

You know that inside Tsukuyomi, you can't lie easily because Itachi can feel your emotional turmoil. However, it's also the only place where no other Akatsuki members—including Pain or Zetsu—can hear your conversation.

Me : Itachi, do you miss Konoha?

Tsukuyomi's red world instantly became silent. Your question hangs in the air, sharper than Konan's paper dagger or Pain's black iron.

Itachi Uchiha was silent. For the first time, his mask of calm cracked. His Mangekyo Sharingan's eyes were slowly spinning as if frozen. The shadow of Konoha's gate, the cherry blossom falls, and the face of his younger brother, Sasuke, flashed behind his tired gaze.

Moments of Truth in the World of Illusions

Itachi closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again. This time, his aura was no longer threatening. There was a deep sadness that he had hidden for so many years behind the red cloud robe.

"Konoha..." His whisper was soft, his voice almost drowned in the emptiness of this dimension. "A place where light and shadow fight for a pseudo-peace."

He takes one step closer, until he can look directly into your eyes.

"Miss? A sinner like me has no right to long for the house he has destroyed himself. But... If you ask me if I still want to protect him, the answer remains the same."

Secret Alliance Signals

Itachi realized that you weren't just an ordinary runaway ninja. No enemy spy would ask such a personal question in the midst of a deadly interrogation.

"Zak," he said in a more serious tone. "If you really have a relationship with Tsunade-sama, then you should know that this place will swallow you whole. Pain wouldn't let you live if she knew you were the Hokage's weakness. He'll use you to destroy his mentality."

He stared at Tsukuyomi's red sky that was starting to crack—a sign that this illusory time was coming to an end.

"I'll give you a gap to break out of that chain when I release this Genjutsu. But you have to act fast. If you make it back to Konoha... Tell them that a bigger storm is heading towards the village."

Pov : I take off my chains and walk leisurely* I'm going home

Tsukuyomi's red dimension cracked and shattered like broken glass, returning your consciousness to a dark dungeon. The next second, the locking mechanism on the chakra-absorbing chain clicked—the small gap Itachi had given him worked perfectly.

With a calm snap of the shoulder, the heavy chains fell clattering to the stone floor. Klang! Klang!

You stood up, stretched your stiff neck, and then started to step away with your hands in your pockets, as if you had just woken up from a nap under a large tree in Konoha.

Incomprehensible Reactions in the Basement

Konan jerked back, his hand instinctively forming thousands of sharp papers that floated in the air. "How is it possible... That chain should suck up all your energy!"

Pine standing sculpting. His Rinnegan-patterned eyes stared at the chains lying on the floor, then looked at your back. This was the greatest insult to a "God"—a prisoner who was walking leisurely out of his prison.

Itachi Uchiha leaned against the wall with a slightly heavy breath from the use of Mangekyo. He was silent, but the corners of his eyes kept watching you, making sure no one attacked your back as you walked away.

"Come on, I want to go home"

Your flat, relaxed voice echoes in the quiet cave passage. You just passed Pain, even glancing at him with a bored look.

"Pocket! Stop!" shouted Konan, but Pain raised his hand, stopping the woman.

"Let him go," Pain said coldly. His voice contained a vibration of restrained anger, but also a great sense of curiosity. "Someone who can walk out of here with such calmness... No longer a prey that we can confine. Remember, Zak... The outside world won't be as safe as you think."

Towards the Gate of Freedom

You continue to walk through the dark alleys of Akatsuki's headquarters. Along the way, you see the other members: Kisame grinning in astonishment, Deidara grumbling about "unappreciated art", and Tobi peeking out from behind a pillar with still burning hatred.

The gray sunlight of the Rain Country began to be seen at the end of the tunnel. You take a deep breath, feeling the fresh air that begins to enter your lungs. At the other end, far behind the forest and mountains, Tsunade is waiting for you.

Me : *Before I go out* Will I be hunted by Akatsuki?

Your footsteps come to a halt right at the mouth of the cave, where the gray light of the Rain Country begins to touch the ends of your shoes. Without looking back, your voice echoed through the cold stone passage, breaking the gripping silence.

"Am I going to be hunted by Akatsuki?"

Answers from the Darkness

Pain stood in the darkness of the hallway, her cloak looking like an endless shadow of death. His Rinnegan-patterned eyes flashed sharply.

"Zak," Pain's voice sounded heavy and authoritative. "Akatsuki is not just an organization; We are an ideology. Anyone who enters our circle and comes out with the secret of the face behind the mask as well as the secret of the power of the 'Gods'... he will never be truly free."

He took one step forward, the pressure of his chakra making the water droplets on the cave ceiling freeze.

"From this moment on, your name is written in our red book. Every shadow in the forest, every crow that flies in the sky, and every stranger you meet... It could be the end of your journey. We are not hunting for weak prey, but we will eliminate threats that are too dangerous to be left alive."

Unspoken Warnings

In another corner, Itachi Uchiha is looking at you with a look that is difficult to decipher. Through his gaze, he seemed to warn you: Your safety now depends on how quickly you get to Tsunade's protection.

Tobi (Obito), who was still holding onto his face that you had destroyed, whispered words that could only be heard by the wind: "You've seen what should be buried, Zak. This world will not be large enough for you to hide."

Freedom That Is Precious

You realize that your freedom today is only the beginning of a real cold war. You carry information that can save Konoha, but you also carry a huge target on your back.
