Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: The Man Who Walked

The world was alive.

Truly alive.

The sky stretched wide, painted in soft blue.

Clouds drifted slowly.

Wind moved naturally.

Everything felt… real.

Godwin stood at the edge of the city.

No aura.

No overwhelming presence.

No distortion.

Just—

A man.

"…So this is one of them…"

He muttered.

The city bustled with life.

People walked through the streets.

Merchants shouted.

Adventurers passed by in groups.

Normal.

Completely normal.

Godwin took a step forward.

And entered.

No one noticed.

No one reacted.

Because there was nothing to notice.

"…Feels weird…"

He said quietly.

For so long—

His existence alone changed everything around him.

But now—

He blended in.

Like he was always meant to be here.

Godwin walked through the streets.

Observing.

Learning.

"…No system presence…"

He focused slightly.

"…Good."

No artificial growth.

No forced evolution.

This world was running—

On its own.

Just as he intended.

Suddenly—

A loud voice echoed nearby.

"Make way! Move aside!"

Godwin glanced toward the source.

A group of armored adventurers rushed through the street.

Their expressions serious.

"…Monster outbreak outside the city!"

The crowd reacted instantly.

Panic.

Movement.

Noise.

Godwin watched calmly.

"…So danger still exists…"

A faint smile appeared.

"…Good."

A world without struggle—

Would never grow.

The adventurers moved toward the city gates.

Godwin followed.

Not out of necessity.

But curiosity.

Outside the city—

Chaos.

Monsters roamed freely.

Stronger than usual.

More aggressive.

Adventurers fought to hold them back.

Some struggled.

Some fell.

Godwin stood at a distance.

Watching.

"…They're not strong enough…"

A pause.

"…But they're trying."

One adventurer got pushed back violently.

A monster lunged toward him.

Too fast.

Too close.

He wouldn't make it.

For a moment—

Godwin didn't move.

"…This isn't my world anymore…"

A pause.

"…Or is it?"

The monster struck—

And suddenly—

Stopped.

Mid-air.

Frozen.

No one noticed.

Except the man in front of it.

His eyes widened.

"…What…?"

Then—

The monster collapsed.

Clean.

Instant.

No visible attack.

No trace of power.

Godwin stood behind him.

Calm.

"…You're welcome."

The adventurer turned quickly.

"…You—!"

But before he could say anything—

Godwin had already walked past him.

"…Focus on the fight."

The man froze.

Confused.

"…Who was that…?"

Meanwhile—

Godwin moved forward.

Deeper into the battlefield.

Monsters approached.

But none reached him.

Some collapsed.

Some turned away.

Some simply… disappeared.

No one understood what was happening.

But the battle—

Started turning.

Adventurers pushed forward.

Regaining ground.

Winning.

Godwin stopped.

"…That should be enough."

He turned back toward the city.

As if nothing happened.

As if he was never there.

Behind him—

Victory.

In front of him—

Normal life.

He walked calmly.

"…I don't need to interfere…"

A pause.

"…Just small pushes."

As he entered the city again—

Someone was watching him.

From a distance.

The same young man from the guild.

His eyes narrowed.

"…That guy…"

He felt it.

Not power.

But something deeper.

"…He's not normal…"

Godwin continued walking.

Unaware—

Or maybe—

Uncaring.

"…Let's see how this world grows…"

A faint smile appeared.

"…Without needing me."

But fate—

Had already started moving.

Because this time—

Godwin wasn't the only one growing.

To be continued…
