Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Satono Diamond was reading at her desk. After greeting Kitasan Black, she closed her book and asked curiously:

"You came back quite late today… Were you training?"

"Training? Yeah… I guess so. I'm not entirely sure."

Kitasan Black shook her head and looked around the room.

"Diamond-chan, I remember you have a dance mat. Can I borrow it? I'll buy a new one tomorrow!"

"The dance mat… it's next to the closet. Just use it."

"Mm! Diamond-chan, you're the best!"

After thanking her with a bright smile, Kitasan Black went to the closet, took out the rolled-up dance mat, spread it on the floor, and sat down cross-legged on it.

Satono Diamond nodded with a gentle smile, still looking curious as she moved closer.

She quickly noticed that her roommate's sitting posture was quite strange.

Instead of crossing her plump calves downward, Kitasan Black had them folded upward, causing her fair little feet to almost flip over and rest against the backs of her knees.

Her hand gestures were also odd. They weren't the usual calm pose seen in shrines or dojos, with hands resting neatly on the knees or lap.

Instead, her ten fingers were awkwardly interlacing and changing positions, like she was doing sign language or making shadow puppets.

"Kitasan, what are you…?"

"Ah, this is something Trainer taught me after our walk today."

Kitasan Black kept her eyes focused on her hands as she answered casually:

"It seems to be some kind of mudra from Brahmanism or Buddhism. Oh right, the sitting posture I'm using now was also taught by him."

"Brahmanism…?"

"Yeah! That's the one!"

Satono Diamond became even more curious.

"I recall that's a religion from South Asia, and Buddhism… also originated from there, right?"

"Diamond-chan, you know so much."

Still looking at her hands, Kitasan Black praised her.

"Trainer said the same thing. He told me these mudras and postures basically cover all the movements we can make. Practicing them regularly can help me better control my strength.

"But he only taught me these few hand gestures and this sitting posture for now. He said there are many more, and he'll teach me gradually according to my physical condition."

"…He sounds like a really amazing trainer."

Satono Diamond looked impressed. "I've never heard of this kind of training method before, and…"

She hesitated for a moment, then carefully observed Kitasan Black's hand gestures. She raised her own hands, thought for a bit, and tried to imitate them.

However, she immediately sensed something was wrong.

From her angle, her roommate's hands looked like they were cupped together as if holding water.

But somehow, the two index fingers and two ring fingers seemed to "grow" out from the opposite side like magic.

The next gesture was the same. It looked like a simple interlacing of fingers, but normal finger interlacing definitely shouldn't give the illusion of "tying a bow."

Of course, neither Satono Diamond nor Kitasan Black knew that these gestures and postures actually came from another world.

Extreme stunts in this world were still relatively underdeveloped, while in Yasui Makoto's previous life, these were basic training fundamentals. They combined techniques from many different sports and were essentially exercises for body control.

In theory, once mastered, one could assume any posture in any situation, and that level of control naturally included strength control.

For humans, learning this kind of training was extremely difficult. Forcing it without enough talent would definitely lead to injury or disability.

Horse girls had far superior physiques than humans, and Kitasan Black's physical foundation was already excellent even among horse girls.

Combined with Yasui Makoto's skilled training methods, she was able to grasp the basics in a short time.

Satono Diamond naturally couldn't imitate it because she lacked the proper technique.

"Phew— Done… Ah! Diamond-chan! Don't try to copy my movements!"

After finishing the special "before-bed training" as instructed by Yasui Makoto, Kitasan Black turned her head and panicked when she saw her roommate clumsily trying to mimic the hand gestures.

"Trainer said these postures look simple, but they're actually very difficult without the proper technique. If you force them, you might even break a bone!"

"B-Break a bone…?!"

Satono Diamond was also startled and quickly let go of her hands.

At the same time, she noticed that even though she had only imitated a few gestures, her finger joints were now slightly numb and tingling with a bit of pain.

"…He really is an incredible trainer…"

Once again, she looked impressed, her eyes widening slightly.

"Yeah! Trainer is really amazing!"

Kitasan Black nodded vigorously in agreement, then stood up from the dance mat with a energetic "heave-ho" and carefully rolled it up before putting it back beside the closet.

Looking expectant, she took out her phone, tapped on it a few times, and held it up in front of Satono Diamond.

"Also, Diamond-chan, look! This is my Sparkle Race account! Trainer helped me set it up these past few days! And I already have fans!"

As soon as she leaned in and heard what Kitasan Black said, Satono Diamond's eyes widened. Then, with clear envy and congratulations, she said:

"Congratulations, Kitasan! This means you've become a real horse girl just like my sister."

"Hehe, I've been looking forward to this day for so long… heave-ho~"

Kitasan Black flipped over and lay face-down on her bed, kicking her legs happily in the air while holding her phone with both hands.

"Now that I have an official race account, no matter what race I run in the future, I'll be able to see how many fans I have…

"Ah! I gained more followers!

"And there are comments too! This is great!"

Still looking envious, Satono Diamond leaned closer and sat beside Kitasan Black, peering at the phone screen.

Horse girls' races were collectively called the "Sparkle Star Series." Unlike ordinary sports, the Sparkle Series had a strong "idol" component in addition to competition.

The racing side used the "Grade" system, with levels from G1 at the top down to G2, G3, OP, and Pre-OP. To participate in a certain grade, a horse girl needed a corresponding number of fans.

The "Sparkle Race Account" was one of the symbols that a horse girl had officially entered the Sparkle Series. It was linked to many platforms and could count total fans across the internet.

Unlike her roommate Kitasan Black and her older sister Satono Crown, Satono Diamond had entered Central Academy thanks to her grades and physical ability, but she had not yet undergone Proper Maturation. She currently couldn't participate in intense races or training.

How nice… Kitasan already has a race account just like my sister…

But the doctor at home said I should be able to start racing next year…

At that time…

"Diamond-chan! Do you think my eyes look cool?"

While Satono Diamond was quietly cheering herself on, she suddenly heard Kitasan Black's shout. Turning her head, she saw her roommate had already sat up and was looking at her with sparkling, expectant eyes.

"Mm… They look very cool."

Although she didn't know why she was being asked, Satono Diamond studied Kitasan Black's bright eyes for a moment and nodded. Then she asked in confusion:

"Why are you suddenly asking that…?"

"Well, it's because of a fan comment!"

Kitasan Black grinned and held up her phone proudly.

"'Her eyes are as cool as mine. A kid like this will definitely become an outstanding horse girl!'

"I don't know who this fan is, but I'm really happy they said that!

"And I also believe that I will definitely become an outstanding horse girl!"
