"Their heads?"
"Yeah, their heads."
Aiden's response came in his usual calm and monotonous tone, his casual smile in place as always.
‘I was expecting them to be dead, but displaying their heads in front of the palace? And Robain as well? Can the male lead just die like that? Did the novel judge that there’s no hope for Robain to win Lia’s love?’
I rolled my eyes and let my mind imagine the scene playing out at the palace.
‘They probably hung their severed heads on the palace gates. At least three of them, or maybe all those involved had their heads put on display.’
After mentally running through various scenarios, this was my conclusion.
"I want to go and see."
‘I need to witness the end of those jerks who tried to make my sister cry and plotted to kill me.’
"Really?"
Aiden's eyes widened as he asked, seemingly taken aback by my decision.
"It might be a bit gruesome," he cautioned, a hint of concern coloring his golden eyes.
"It's okay!"
