Hearing my muttered words, Joshua, assisting me with my pose, slightly furrowed his brows.
"It's the head of the family’s portrait."

"I'm only doing a rough outline for the composition today. It won't eat up much time."
Joshua took my hand, placing it gently atop my other, while he still avoided meeting my gaze.
"You could have easily called for an artist."
"Why would I go through that trouble when I’m here?"

I sealed my lips.
