The atmosphere in the meeting room remained chilly and uncomfortable as always.
Today, two more people have joined: Joshua Winston and Michael Evans.
Although I had contemplated bringing Joshua rather than me, I hadn't intended for this particular combination of people to convene.

Carlisle lowered his eyelashes as he summarized what I’d told him.
I nodded slowly and surveyed the room.
‘I understand Joshua sitting beside me, but why is Aiden staring at him like that? And that look is rather menacing. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells.’
I shifted my gaze and stared at Sir Calix with pity.
‘The three Evans family members, my beloved, and me, along with the unsuspecting Sir Calix, who was privy to everything about this situation... I'm sorry, Calix. If I were in your shoes, I'd probably want to run away as well.’
