Marchioness Cladice's dessert shop was a place I often frequented even after joining the Academy, so I was able to greet her comfortably.
"I never thought you two would come together like this."
...Though I wasn't used to hearing such comments.
"Haha, yes," I responded.
‘I never thought I'd come back here with him either.’
I forced a somewhat awkward smile and stole a glance at Aiden.
While Marchioness Cladice and I exchanged pleasantries, Aiden had been busy exploring the shop and choosing desserts.
As if nothing else mattered, he didn't even look in my direction.
‘What’s gotten into him?’
As I observed Aiden's dessert-picking skills, Marchioness Cladice's voice drifted into my ears.
"By the way, today was Delire Academy's graduation ceremony, wasn’t it? I bet you must have graduated with excellent grades, Miss Blanchet."
I quickly turned my head and nodded lightly.
"Well, I guess so."
