Realizing your emotions was no easy feat.
Acknowledging those emotions once you’d sensed them was even more difficult, and fully accepting them was nearly impossible without possessing a great deal of courage.
At least, that was how it had always been for me, especially when it came to confronting emotions I'd never truly encountered before.
Feeling the affection from Julianne that I've never known and, in turn, growing to love her as a family was no different.
New things were scary.
Taking steps into the unknown naturally came with hesitation because no one could predict what lay ahead.
Yet, I had already taken such arduous steps once before. After all, there was someone who held and guided me during that time.
So, I knew what awaited me at the end.
On top of that, this time around, the one who held my hand and guided me was still by my side.
