#Chapter 64
The deal that he had just proposed was an entirely new one.
However, it was rarely different from the exchange of my body and five hundred million markas.
The only difference was that if I were to give him my soul, I would be rewarded with a very convincing act of a man in love.
For a split second, I was almost convinced by his deal.
I could turn a blind eye to reality and let myself live in a doll house prepared just for me.
My life then would be comfortable and tranquil, and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything.
I wouldn’t have to deal with any more atrocities, and my only job would be to occasionally flash him a smile or two.
If I had been the same person that I was at the beginning of our deal, I would probably have walked into that bird cage with my own will.
But for the person that I had become, it wasn’t enough.
What he proposed was not a relationship, but just another one of his deals.
I didn’t want to make any more of those with Zahid.
