Upon receiving the unexpected news that the Duke was on his way, Ronya rushed to get things up and going.
Her impromptu operation ‘Protect the Duchess’ had one, simple goal: to deliver the Duchess to the Duke without a scratch.
Ronya clung to the slim possibility of the Duke going easy with the castigation upon seeing the unscathed Duchess.
The self-proclaimed operation commander’s plan was met with voices of dubiety.
“Is that even possible, ma’am……?”
It was the messenger, who had just been caught and appointed as the deputy commander by Ronya.
“We’ve got to try something, at least. I don’t want this to be the end of me. Besides, you’re on the same boat here pal.”

Having become an accomplice without intending to do so, the knight gave in with a hopeless look on his face.
Not that any of that really mattered to Ronya, that is.
