After going through all that mess at the Holy City, I spent the night at the orchard.
The next morning, Zahid was gone before I could wake up.
Breakfast and a short note were on the table. The note was about how Sir Jantzen was going to escort me back home because he had something to take care of.
Ronya must still be busy with the task Zahid gave her the other day.
I peeked through the curtains to find the knights already waiting for me.
For a while, I marveled at the neat yet sharp handwriting, then had some of the prepared breakfast.
After doing so, I was accompanied by Jantzen and thirty other knights back to the Carnoire castle.
Neither of my siblings bothered to ask what happened.
Instead, they checked if I wasn’t hurt and rebuked me for taking so long.
With the twins, I sat down in the drawing room and had some tea.
Cheryl, handling the tea set quite proficiently, complained.
