Chapter 97

Our work in education was mainly aimed at children living in the slums. We built schools where they could learn how to read and write and be taught fundamental math, history, general knowledge, and etiquette. All they had to do was attend and we would reward them with food and small change so that their parents would feel like them going to school was just as beneficial as going to work. Luckily enough, there were not many parents who opposed their children getting an education when free money and a meal were involved.
