Chapter 2 - chapter two

1736 AD

I fly down towards the four, I can feel there shocked gazes drifting over my form, but I ignore them and before they can react I'm grabbing the first female by the throat.

From an objective stand point I can notice that she, like all vampires, is extremely attractive.

With porcelain skin that almost glows in the dark and wavy auburn hair that is so much more vibrant than any human could possibly replicate.

But the human blood staining her face fill me with revulsion, to think something so beautiful can cause such death and pain.

My hand involuntarily sinks into her flesh, turning her slender neck into cracked stone and rubble, showing that although she may look like flesh and blood, she's anything but.

Swiping her head off and dashing it into one of the many burning buildings causes the other three vampires to finally act.

Watching them advance towards me really highlights how much of a difference there is between me and the so called apex predators of the world, it's only been six years since Carlisle found me and yet I can man handle vampires who have lived for countless decades.

Backhanding the first one to reach me causes his once handsome face to crack before ultimately separating from his body and once again landing into the fire.

I lament on the ease of it all, they aren't suffering enough, the death they've caused needs to be avenged.

Grabbing the remaining pair by there hair, both blonde respectively a female and a male, I fly straight up while they flail and struggle to get out of my grip.

Once I'm hovering above the flames of there doing I begin to tear pieces off of there bodies and toss them into the fire, one by one I strip them of every part of there being.

There screams of pain bring me no comfort and I remind myself of all the children and families they have slaughtered, aswell as all the innocents they will no longer be able to harm.

POV Carlisle

It's a struggle to watch someone you love and consider a son struggle so much with there place In the world,

Maybe it's my own fault for suggesting he may be an angel, causing him to believe it's his duty to protect the innocent.

For all the power and strength Orion has he is still just a young boy,I can see that his self imposed mission of killing any human drinking vampire he encounters is taking a toll on him mentally.

He comes home to our cottage withdrawn and often times smelling of smoke and remnants of other covens.

I do not fear for his physical safety, unless confronted by a vampire with a potent ability Orion could take on scores of vampires, the only coven I have warned him against is the volturi, not even I know what type of abilities they have up there sleeves.

Just the limited amount I was able to glimpse over the years has made me cautious of Orion having any type of conflict with them, and luckily he has listened to me.

But his overwhelming strength has made him convince himself that he has to be this avenging being that purges evil, and I don't know how to steer him down a less self destructive path before he does something he will regret.
