"Prince Gideon sent you to pick me up?!" Simona asked, looking at Micah in complete disbelief.
"Yes. Is there a problem with that?" he inquired, already leaning across the seat to push the passenger door open from the inside.
"No," Simona murmured as she climbed into the vehicle. Fastening her seatbelt, she added, "I just assumed he would send a regular warrior, or perhaps a Gamma. You handle all of the prince's personal matters, don't you?"
"The important ones, yes," Micah replied smoothly. He shifted into gear and guided the car out onto the main highway. "Why are you so adamant about meeting Adeline? Don't tell me you are playing some sort of game with us."
"I may be a witch, but I am not evil," Simona countered, looking out the window. "I don't have any malicious intentions toward Adeline. I simply want to say thank you to her, and apologize for something."
