Chapter 2 - Beginnings on Planet Homeworld

Years before the rise of the new generation of Starlight Guardians, In the far reaches of space lived a planet of radiance, beyond the diamond towers of Authority, past the storm-belts charged with spirit-fire—lay a continent bathed in twin suns and eternal auroras.

This was the domain of the Starlight Scouts, a proud and formidable race of magical girls born of starlight and cosmic magic. Though they resembled humans in form, their essence was far greater. Some with their monkey tails swayed not as ornaments, but as living conduits of their ki—the life-energy that bound their bodies to the pulse of the stars. Their variations reflected bloodline resonance: some fierce as comets, others agile as shadows, each marked with the stamp of destiny. And they possess pointed ears like elves. They don't need a star seed to live forever as they and the other natives of Homeworld can live as long as they want to. Their colored hair to match their element, powered by magic—the energy they wield can contain powers beyond the stars. They were eternal warriors, forged not for conquest but for growth, honor, and the preservation of legacy.

To them, every strike was prayer, every battle a challenge. They believed the soul of each warrior was a star waiting to ignite, and through discipline, trial, and clarity, one could achieve True Radiance—a transformation where power, speed, and spirit blazed beyond mortal limits.

They also possess the power to create their own weapons from their imagination and change their appearance when they reform.

The Starlight Scouts place great emphasis on strength and power as a source of prestige, measuring and defining their race from infancy by their power level and placing them in an associated social caste afterwards. A baby Starlight Scout's power level are measured as soon as they are born. If their power level is up to standard, they are raised as upper-level warriors and become combatant candidates. If their power level remains low even after a certain amount of time has passed, they are classed as warriors and become either sorceresses, scientists, or guardian babies. They can display the ability to achieve the Super Starlight form, as well as beyond, but powered by magic and cosmic energy.

At the heart of the Starlight Scout civilization stood their sovereign: The Royal Diamond Authority. robes draped over golden armor, ancestral glyphs etched into her robes, they led her people through the dark void to their new home. They were both rulers and warriors, their name revered in temples and sung in sparring domes alike.

Under her reign, Starlight citadels spiraled into the skies, their arenas resounded with combat skills, and temples burned bright with the teachings of the Eternal Path—a philosophy that bound combat with cosmic harmony.

On the planet full of wildlife and rocky landscape, there lived a technological building where two Starlight Scouts lived inside it who happens to be a mother and her daughter, the mother Starlight Scout was named Khorona, and the daughter was named Gina, Khorona was a tall and well toned starlight scout and had long black spiky hair tied in a ponytail, a monkey tail, her eyes are black, she wears a pink leotard under battle armor.

Later, Gina and Khorona were training together, Gina was a child who trains to become a great warrior like her mother and even enjoys her mother's company. As they finish training for today, Khorona spots small figures sneaking in her yard trying to see one of the space pods built by another alien species. She decided to check it finding that the figures were actually children who were the wandering bunch of misfits. "Hey you, get out of here! This doesn't belong to you!" Gina yelled at them scaring them away.

Gina was about head back to her home until she spots Marina hiding behind a tree. "Who's there?! Show yourself!" Gina cried out in anger, "S-Sorry, I was just looking not touching anything." Marina said in fear. "Yeah well, now you've seen it, now go away." Gina ordered her narrowing her eyes. Marina floated away from the tree and look at gina, "You have nice armor." She compliments her as Gina blushed for a bit after hearing her but tries to hide it, she was one of the very few scouts who had managed to obtain the new starlight armor. "Don't change the subject! I told you to leave." Gina cried out. Marina wasn't scared of her for some reason. "That's a cool pod you have there, you ever piloted it?" Marina asked.

"You don't pilot them, they take you to a destination, you do your job, and then they take you back, well that is if you survived." Gina explained, what she told Marina amazed her until she regained her composure. "Listen, you need to get out now, or else we'll both get it by the neck!" Gina demanded, and Marina does what she asked her to do.

"Okay, okay, I'm gone. But, can I see you again sometime?" Marina said as she floats away. "Sure, come alone next time, but knock, I don't like it when you kids sneak up on us." Gina said. And with that, Marina heads off as Khorona arrives. "What was that all about?" Khorona questioned her daughter, "nothing just that pack of mongol kids roaming about nothing to write home about mother." Gina explained and the mother starlight scout laughed, "Oh, they're not all that bad, i don't blame them for wanting to take a gander, all of us warriors are pretty envious you know we would all love to fly one of those someday!" Khorona said. Gina looks up at her mother and smiles.

The next day, Marina is just floating through a rocky environment until he spot Gina on a tall rock training on balance. "Hi there!" Marina shouted out. This frightened Gina as she uses her wooden staff to launch a rock at her and it hits her on her forehead. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I COULD'VE KILLED YOU!" Gina yelled at her in anger, "Sorry, I was just saying hi." Marina explained, "Whatever, plus I told you not to sneak up on me like that again." Gina warned. She checks Marina's head to see if there's any damage or anything and she spots a scratch on her forehead, "Well, there doesn't seem to be any scars or anything, just a small bruise, it should heal some time." Gina said. Still, Gina treats the bruise with care by kissing it, and Marina thanks her for it. After that, the two began to talk to each other and Gina begins to have interest in Marina and starlight scouts admire strong and smart men and women.

Gina then tells Marina about her best friend, Celera, she's one of the best starlight scout warriors on Planet Homeworld and would love to meet Gina's new friend.

Later at the village, Gina holding Marina's hand leading him to Celera's house. "Here we are." Gina said. She spots her and calls out to Celera and she turns to see her best friend and a young princess with her. "Gina! Good to see you! And who's he?" Celera asked, "This is the friend I was telling you about." Gina explained.

Marina greets himself to Videl, the starlight scout looked a little like Gina but with different features such as her hair being short, and wearing arm bands. Celera greets herself to Marina and she seemed to already like her, and the three of them become best friends.

Two years later, In the radiant kingdom of Brightwater, where oceans shimmered like liquid sapphire beneath twin suns, the royal palace stood as a beacon of elegance and power. Crystal spires rose into the sky, refracting light into endless rainbows, while waterfalls flowed through the city like living ribbons of magic.

This was a kingdom blessed by the stars. And within its sacred halls… A young princess was training.

"Focus, Marina. Feel the rhythm of the stars—not just your power."

The voice was calm, yet carried the weight of royalty.

Standing across the training courtyard was Queen Arella of Brightwater—a legendary warrior, known across Planet Homeworld as a Starlight Guardian. Her long, flowing hair shimmered like stardust, and her eyes glowed with the wisdom of countless battles fought for light and harmony.

Before her stood her daughter.

Princess Marina.

Only ten years old… yet already destined for greatness.

"Hyaa!" Marina shouted, lunging forward with a glowing strike of aqua-colored energy.

A burst of starlight flared from her hands—but it wavered.

Queen Arella moved effortlessly.

With a gentle motion, she redirected Marina's attack, dispersing it into harmless sparkles.

Marina stumbled slightly, catching herself. "I almost had it…"

Arella smiled softly, walking toward her.

"You're not lacking power," she said, placing a hand on Marina's shoulder. "You're holding back your heart."

Marina looked up. "But… what if I mess up? What if I'm not ready to be like you?"

The Queen knelt to her level, her expression warm.

"You're not meant to be like me, Marina. You're meant to be better."

The wind carried shimmering particles of light around them, as if the stars themselves were listening.

"And you won't walk this path alone."

Days later, the entire kingdom of Brightwater gathered.

Today… was the day.

The Royal Diamond Authority, the supreme governing force of Planet Homeworld, had arrived. Their presence alone caused the skies to glow brighter, as massive diamond-shaped starships hovered above the capital.

The grand ceremonial plaza sparkled with cosmic energy. Nobles, warriors, Gems, and Starlight Scouts filled the terraces, all witnessing a historic moment.

At the center stood Marina, dressed in ceremonial attire—an elegant gown infused with starlight threads, her tiara glowing faintly.

She took a deep breath.

This is it… From the crowd, a familiar voice called out— "HEY! MARINA!!"

Marina turned—and instantly smiled. There, waving excitedly, was her best friend— Gina, another Starlight Scout girl with wild hair and a confident grin. Her tail flicked behind her as she pumped her fist.

"You got this!! Don't hold back, okay?!" Marina giggled, her nerves easing. "I won't!"

Gina crossed her arms proudly. "And when you're done, we're sparring again. I still owe you a rematch!"

The air grew still.

A radiant platform of light formed beneath Marina's feet as members of the Royal Diamond Authority descended—beings of immense cosmic presence, their forms adorned in luminous diamond armor.

One stepped forward.

"Princess Marina of Brightwater," the voice echoed across the kingdom, "you have been chosen as a candidate of the Starlight Guardians."

Marina stood tall, her heart pounding.

"You have trained under Queen Arella… and proven your spirit worthy of the stars."

A brilliant crystal—glowing with aqua light—materialized before her. "Do you accept your destiny… to protect the balance of the cosmos?"

Marina clenched her fists. She glanced at her mother. Arella gave her a proud, reassuring nod. She looked at Gina— Who gave her a huge thumbs up. Marina stepped forward. "I do!"

The crystal burst into radiant light.

Energy surged around Marina, lifting her into the air as ribbons of starlight wrapped around her body. The sky itself shimmered, responding to her awakening.

Her voice echoed— "Starlight… awaken within me!"

A transformation unlike anything she had ever felt surged through her.

Her outfit shifted into her Starlight Guardian form—flowing, radiant, infused with oceanic and cosmic energy. Her hair shimmered like waves under moonlight, and her aura pulsed with power.

The crowd gasped in awe. "She did it…"

"A new guardian…"

"A princess of the stars…" The light settled. Marina gently descended back to the ground.

The Authority spoke once more:

"From this day forward… you are a full-fledged Starlight Guardian."

Silence… Then— Thunderous applause erupted across Brightwater. Gina ran forward the moment the ceremony ended, tackling Marina into a hug.

"YOU DID IT!! That was AMAZING!!" Marina laughed. "Hey! I almost fell over!"

"Yeah, but you didn't!" Gina grinned. "Now you're official!" Queen Arella approached, her eyes shining with pride.

"My daughter… a guardian of the stars." Marina looked at her hands, still glowing faintly.

"I feel it… Mom. The power… it's real." Arella placed her hand over Marina's. "And so is your destiny."

Two months had passed since Marina's coronation. The once-young princess had grown—stronger, sharper, more composed. Under the glow of twin suns, the rocky training fields stretched endlessly across Planet Homeworld. Jagged cliffs and floating stone platforms created a natural arena where warriors honed their strength.

And at its center— Princess Marina trained.

Her movements were precise, each strike cutting through the air with radiant aqua energy. Her aura shimmered softly, a blend of elegance and power befitting a Starlight Guardian.

Marina dashed forward—faster this time. A spinning kick. A burst of light. A controlled landing.

Better. But not perfect.

Before she could respond— WHAM!

A fist slammed into Marina's cheek.

Marina staggered back, stunned.

Dust kicked up around her feet as she regained balance, one hand pressed gently against her cheek.

"…!"

Standing before her was a boy—young, yet radiating arrogance. Spiky hair. Confident smirk. Tail swaying behind him like a challenge.

Aikon.

"Didn't see that coming, did you?" he sneered.

Marina blinked once… twice… Then steadied herself. Her heart burned—but not with fear. With calm. With pride. With royal composure.

"I'll admit that caught me off guard," she said evenly, lifting her chin. "But I've trained with my mother for a long time."

Her aura flickered. "I can prove I'm not a hindrance… if you wish."

Laughter echoed.

Two more boys stepped forward behind Aikon—his cronies.

"Weakling!"

"Pretender!"

"She's just a kid!"

Aikon grinned wider. "Tell you what, Princess—if I hit you again, you have to train us. Deal?"

Marina's eyes narrowed slightly.

Then— She smiled. A subtle, confident smirk.

Aikon lunged. Marina feinted right— Then vanished low.

CRACK!

Her foot slammed into Aikon's jaw with clean precision. He stumbled back, eyes wide. "I did it," Marina said calmly, lowering her stance. "I hit you fair and square." She crossed her arms slightly, smirking. "Looks like I can't train anyone today. Sorry."

Aikon clutched his jaw, furious. "Ow—HEY! That doesn't count! I slipped!"

His pride shattered. His anger ignited. "First you won't train us—now you make a fool outta me?!"

He pointed at her. "Now you fight all three of us!"

Marina's expression faltered.

"…Wait. What?! That's not fair!"

But they were already circling her.

Three boys.

One princess.

Her heart pounded. Doubt crept in. Can I… really take them all on?

The wind whispered. And then— Her mother's voice echoed in her mind:

"True courage is standing… even when you know you might fall."

Marina exhaled.

Her stance lowered. Her elf ears twitched. Her aura ignited. Soft at first… Then brighter. "I won't run," she whispered.

Just as the tension reached its peak—A flash of blue light tore through the battlefield. Time itself seemed to pause. And from that glow… A small figure stepped forward.

A glowing staff. A presence that felt… ancient. And yet young.

Orvus.

"That's enough," he said calmly, standing between Marina and the Starlight Scouts.

"Buzz off, shorty!" Aikon roared, charging.

Orvus didn't move— Until the last second. A simple step.

A flick of his staff.

BOOM!

Aikon spun through the air and crashed into the ground. The other two lunged— Only to be effortlessly deflected and dropped in seconds.

Silence fell.

Orvus stood there quietly. Small in stature. Yet towering in presence. Marina stared in awe. "…You didn't have to do that," she said softly.

She noticed— A small cut on his arm. "It's not necessary," Orvus replied, brushing it off.

Marina shook her head gently. "Maybe not… but it's the least I can do."

She carefully wrapped his arm with a bandage.

Her touch was gentle. Kind.

They sat together on a rocky outcrop.

Above them, stars shimmered faintly—even in daylight. "So…" Orvus said, glancing at her, "Why were you fighting those jerks anyway?"

Marina looked down at her hands.

"It's not that I didn't want to fight them…" she said quietly. "But as a princess… I thought if I agreed to train with them…" She paused. "…they might learn discipline. Maybe change."

Orvus shook his head slightly. "Don't bother. They talk big—but their hearts are small. You won't get far trying to fix that."

Marina blinked— Then laughed softly. "…Yeah. You're probably right."

Silence settled between them.

Peaceful. Curious.

Then Marina asked, "So… what's the real reason you helped me?"

Orvus smiled. "My father and I came here to meet new people. The Diamonds invited us."

He looked up at the sky. "I guess… I just wanted to meet someone interesting."

Marina blinked— Then looked away, cheeks slightly pink. "I've always been fascinated by the universe," Orvus continued. "Even the multiverse too. My dad studies it… but me?" His eyes sparkled. "I want to explore it."

"See everything."

"Every world. Every timeline. Every possibility."

Marina looked at him. Truly looked. And something inside her stirred. "I want to get stronger too," she said softly. "Not just in combat… or magic…" Her hand rested over her heart. "But here."

"And here." She looked at him again. "…like my mother."

"…and like you."

The wind passed gently between them.

Far above— The stars shimmered. As if acknowledging something new. Something important.

They both smiled, the stars quietly reflecting in their eyes.

In that rocky field, where defiance and dreams had clashed, a bond was born. One of respect. Curiosity. And something just beginning to blossom. The wind grew still. Not naturally… But as if something unseen had pressed pause on the world itself.

Marina felt it first. A subtle shift in the air. "…Orvus?"

He didn't answer.

Orvus sat frozen beside her, his gaze locked forward—but not at the rocky fields. At something far beyond. His staff dimmed. Then— Glowed.

A deep, celestial blue. "…I hear it," he whispered.

His voice no longer sounded like his own.

It echoed. Layered. Ancient.

The world around them faded. The rocky cliffs… dissolved into stardust. The sky… shattered into an endless ocean of galaxies.

Time itself bent. And Orvus was no longer sitting.

He was floating.

Before him— A single star pulsed. Brighter than all others. Not just light… But life. Energy.

Destiny. And from that star— A figure emerged.

A boy. Young. Small. Silhouetted in radiant gold and cosmic blue. His hair shimmered like starlight. His eyes— Closed.

As if asleep. Orvus's breath caught. "…Who… are you…?" The boy opened his eyes. And in that moment— The universe trembled. Those eyes held something impossible. Not just power. Not just magic. But infinite potential.

Untamed. Unwritten. Unawakened.

The boy reached forward. Not touching— But calling. And Orvus felt it. Deep within his core. A name.

Not spoken aloud.

But carved into the fabric of destiny itself.

Alan.

Light erupted from him— Not just light… But creation itself.

"ORVUS!" Marina's voice cut through. The stars collapsed. The rocky fields snapped back into existence. Orvus gasped, falling forward slightly, catching himself with his staff. His breathing was uneven.

Orvus staggered forward— And fell to one knee. "…!" His breathing was uneven. His grip tightened on his staff.

Marina rushed to his side. "Hey! Hey—look at me! Are you okay?!"

His eyes wide. "…I saw him…"

Marina asked. "Saw who?!"

Orvus looked at his hand. "A boy…" He looked up at the sky. As if searching for him. "…but not just any boy." His voice lowered. Reverent. Almost in awe. "A star… that hasn't risen yet."

Marina tilted her head, confused. "A star?"

Orvus nodded slowly. "Someone… who is a Star of Hope."

He looked at Marina. With a smile on his face. "He's connected to all of it." The wind returned. The world breathed again. But something had changed.

Marina placed a hand over her chest. "…Then we'll meet him someday." She smiled softly. "If he's part of the future… then he's part of our story too, right?"

As Orvus was about to leave, he almost forgot to ask her what her name was. "Oh yeah, I never asked for your name." Orvus said, "My name? Oh, uhh...My name's Princess Marina." She tells him her name. "You're in luck, Marina. You convinced me to train more. We could even train together if you want, including a starlight scout I met here. I'm Orvus by the way, it was nice meeting you." Orvus said.

"It was nice meeting you too, orvus! I'll see you next time! I promise we can train together!" Marina said.

But as the two head off, Aikon's burning gaze lingered on Marina for his humiliation, his hatred smoldering like embers in the darkness. With a vow of revenge hanging on his lips, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving behind a lingering sense of unease in his wake. For Marina and Orvus, however, their friendship had only just grown in the face of adversity. United by a shared experience and a newfound sense of trust, they knew that together, they could overcome any challenge that stood in their way, their friendship forged in the fires of battle and tested by the trials of fate.

As Marina walked through the bustling village, she felt a sense of excitement tinged with nervousness. She couldn't wait to tell her best friends, Gina and Celera, about her new friend, Orvus, and hoped that they would get along as well as she had imagined. Arriving at Khorona's house, Marina called out to her friend, her voice filled with anticipation. But just before she could call out for her friend, one of the bullies who were with Aikon jump out from a bush ready to make Marina suffer for his and his friends' humiliation. That is until Gina stops him with a kick to the face. "That'll teach you not to attack a girl from behind! Now beat it!" Gina scares away the bully. "Gina?" Marina said her name.

Gina turned at the sound of her name, a warm smile spreading across her face as she spotted Marina. "Marina! I've been looking everywhere for you!" Gina said, curiosity gleaming in her eyes. With a proud smile, Marina stepped forward to talk about Orvus to her best friend.

Sometime later, Gina ask Marina why she left the group. "Well, I felt like I couldn't keep up with everyone. So I decided to train with the other kids, but it didn't turn out how I expected it at all." she explained.

Marina then reassures her that this experience has motivated her to train more and form a team of warriors of her own. After that, She then talks about Orvus and how he saved her from those bullies. Gina was surprised by all this and her idea of creating a team sounds great as she'll be the first to join.
