Jungkook finished his last task and collapsed onto the sofa, exhausted. Minho went to change his clothes, leaving Jungkook alone. A few minutes later, one of the employees hurried toward him.
Employee: Jungkook, our owner wants to see you in person. It's urgent.
The man left quickly after Jungkook nodded. Still confused, Jungkook stood and made his way toward the private room reserved for the owner's family. But today, Lia's husband, Keny, was there too-something that made Jungkook's stomach twist in uncertainty.
Jungkook: Did you call me, sir?
Keny: Yes, Jungkook. Come, sit. Nodding silently, Jungkook sat opposite them.
Lia's eyes lingered on him with a smirk that made him uncomfortable.
Keny: Jungkook, do you have any problem with Kim Young Son?
Jungkook: It's personal, sir. Not something serious enough to recall here.
Keny: I understand, Jungkook. I respect your privacy, but...
Jungkook: But what, sir?
Keny: He forced us to fire you-or else-Before Keny could finish, Jungkook sighed, already understanding.
Jungkook: It's okay, sir. I understand.
Keny looked genuinely regretful.
Keny: Jungkook, you're a hardworking boy, but we live in a world where money controls everything. Try to adjust somehow... you're mature enough
to know what to do.
He left the room with a heavy breath. Lia, however, stayed behind. Her smirk deepened as she stepped closer.
Lia: What a heartbreaking scene, Jungkook. I almost pity you. But if you say yes to me, I can give you far more than this cheap little job.
She touched his shoulder, but Jungkook stepped back immediately.
Jungkook: I respect you-not because you're a woman or older than me-but because of Keny, who loves you even with your flaws. Don't lose the man who loves you just because of your desires.
He turned and walked out. Lia glared at him furiously, but moments later, she fainted where she stood.
Jungkook didn't notice. He went to see Minho but was told Minho had already gone home. Since Jungkook usually worked late shifts, Minho didn't wait for him that night. Jungkook then made his way to the electric repair center where he worked part-time. The place often gave night shifts to poor students or those who couldn't work during the day, thanks to the manager's kindness.
Jungkook: Hi, Mr. Vasi.
Vasi looked up at him, his face heavy with worry.
Jungkook immediately sensed that something was wrong.
Jungkook: Is everything okay, sir?
Vasi: Jungkook... today Mr. Kim's younger son called us.
Jungkook: Did he tell you to fire me too? Or threaten to close this place?
Vasi: I'm sorry, Jungkook. I tried to handle it, but this isn't just about my dream or job. There are many young people depending on this place.
Jungkook smiled faintly.
Jungkook: There's no need to apologize, sir. I understand. Don't worry about me.
He started to leave, but Vasi's voice stopped him.
Vasi: Kim's family isn't just a business group, Jungkook.
Their branches spread all over the world. Wherever you go, you'll need their influence-directly or indirectly. Please, don't go against them. If there's a problem, find a way to solve it peacefully.
Before Jungkook could respond, his phone started to ring. The moment he heard the words on the other end, his entire expression collapsed. Without a word, he bolted out, leaving Vasi standing in confusion.
Jimin didn't goes to work that day. The fear of facing Suga again pressed heavy on his chest, making him skip work. He wandered near the bar out of habit, but his trembling stopped him from stepping inside. Turning back, he walked slowly toward home, clutching JuJu tightly in his arms. His once-bright ocean eyes looked dull and lifeless now.
Jimin: Don't worry, baby. It's just one of the job. Mommy will find something else soon. I'll manage, okay? You don't need to worry, JuJu.
He kissed the cat's head and held her close to his chest, craving the comfort she gave. But peace never lasted long for him. A sleek black car-one he recognized too well-pulled up beside him. It stopped just a few feet away. The Royal Labromin emblem gleamed under the night light. The door opened. Suga stepped out. He lit a cigarette with calm precision, his eyes dark and unreadable. Leaning against the car with his legs crossed, dressed in a white and black silk shirt, he radiated danger and authority. Jimin froze. His body screamed to run, but his feet refused to move.Suga didn't look at him at first.
He smoked in silence, staring at the ground, his expression hidden. Only after crushing the cigarette under his heel did he finally raise his eyes toward Jimin.
Jimin: S-sir...
His voice trembled. Suga walked up to him slowly.
Jimin instinctively stepped back, but Suga caught him and pressed him against the car, trapping him there.
Suga: Did you really think that skipping work would help you escape me?
"His voice was deep, cutting through Jimin's fear like thunder. Jimin looked up, eyes filled with shock and pain, unable to speak."
Suga: Do you think I wouldn't find out anything about you? Even a breath you take doesn't go unnoticed by me.
"Jimin's heart pounded painfully. He couldn't understand why Suga, a man admired by millions, acted like this-obsessed and cruel. He had once respected him for his strength and charisma. But now, he saw the man behind the mask."
Jimin: Sir, please... I beg you. Let me go. I'm not someone who sells my body for money.
"Suga's smirk deepened."
Suga: Then what should I give you to keep you forever and only mine, doll?
"Jimin's fear turned to disbelief."
Jimin: I'm not something that belongs to anyone
Suga: Thing or not, I don't care. If Min Yoongi sets his eyes on something, it becomes mine-by hook or by crook.
"He tried to touch JuJu, but Jimin pulled the cat close to his chest. The brief defiance made Suga's gaze darken. Before he could act further, his phone rang."
Suga: Yes, Dad... I'm coming.
"After cutting the call, he moved even closer, placing both hands beside Jimin, caging him again."
Suga: I have important work to finish. While I'm gone, pack your things. You'll live with me after I am back.
Jimin: I can't... I don't want to-
"Before he could finish, Suga's hand wrapped around his neck-not enough to choke, but enough to make him gasp for air. JuJu slipped from his grasp, landing by his feet with a frightened cry."
Suga: I don't like being interrupted, doll. Don't push me, and never try to run again. Whatever I say, you'll do. Understand?
"Jimin said nothing, his silence trembling between fear and fury. Suga's grip shifted, his thumb brushing Jimin's cheek and lips before he pressed a kiss against them. Revulsion surged through Jimin-he pushe Suga with all his strength and slapped him hard
Jimin: I may be poor, but I'm not for sale. Don't ever treat me like your possession. Hear me, Mr. Min Yoongi before I let myself become yours, I'drather embrace death. "Clutching JuJu, he turned and fled down the empty street. Suga stood there, hand on his cheek, frozen in disbelief. No one had ever spoken to him like that.
No one had ever walked away. For the first time, he didn't chase after them."
Jungkook's face was now full of angry pain as he stared at his house. Rajput, Laila, and Minho looked at him with worried eyes.
Rajput: We don't know who did it, son. When we came here, it was fully broken. If you have a problem with anyone, son, you can tell me. I will help you
Laila: Jungkook...
Minho: Buddy...
"Minho put his hand on Jungkook's shoulder, bringing him back to reality. Jungkook wiped his tears before they could fall. Maybe for others, it was just an old house, but for Jungkook, it was his whole world, filled with memories of his parents and the last things they left for him. Before he could cross the pain, his phone buzzed."
Minho: What's happened, Jungkook?
Jungkook didn't say anything. Without a word, Minho took Jungkook's phone and looked at the messages.
They all said he was fired, which confused Minho.
Minho: What the hell is this?
Without a word, Jungkook ran from there. Minho tried to follow but stopped when Jungkook's eyes told him to stay.
At Tae's house,
Jungkook arrived full of rage. Two guards stood at the entrance, but without permission, Jungkook pushed inside. The guards tried to stop him, but today, he was ready to confront anyone. In his fury, he bit two guards, who collapsed to the ground. Jungkook relentlessly rang the doorbell until one of the maids opened the door.
maid: Who are you and what do you want this time?
Jungkook: Your young master... where is he? Tell him to come down.
"Without waiting, Jungkook entered the house, where a maid tried to stop him."
Maid: What are you doing? Did you-
Jungkook: Look, I don't have any personal problem!
with you. But before I do anything, tell me where your young master is.
Maid: He's not in the house...
but-Her eyes flicked upward, and Jungkook understood
-Tae was upstairs. He started walking upstairs while she tried to stop him, but she couldn't, so she went outside to call the guards. After a few steps, Jungkook stopped outside a door. Where tae mocking smile, came out.
Tae: I really want to see his face... Can you imagine how it will look when he find out you're useless now? Ha! One more thing-his house isn't even big compared to my bathroom. I really feel sorry for the men I sent there.
"With angry face, Jungkook entered the room, which
made Tae angry. But the tension grew when Tae saw after seeing who's that standing there."Tae sneered, fury flashing in his eyes.
Tae: You bastard! How dare you storm into my house?
Who the hell gave you permission?
Jungkook's voice was low, cold as steel.
Jungkook: And who gave you permission to destroy my home?
Instead of answering, Tae burst into a loud, mocking laugh. The sound only fueled Jungkook's rage.
Tae: House? You call that a house? Even my pet's kennel is bigger-and better-than that. Still, you cling to calling it a house? How laughable.
"Jungkook stepped closer, eyes burning with contempt."
Jungkook: A greedy witch like you wouldn't know the meaning of a real home. All you understand is money and power.
Tae: Whatever. If you're here just to argue about your ruined bathroom, take it outside. This place isn't worthy of your presence. Get out before you dirty it even more. I'm planning to bathe this place in perfumes to erase your stench.
Tae's venomous words stung deep, igniting a fierce fire within Jungkook. Without hesitation, he closed the distance between them, anger pounding in his veins. Tae didn't flinch.
Jungkook: If you're so eager to clean up, then be ready to clean this mess also..
Then Jungkook captured Tae's lips with a fierce, desperate kiss, pulling him down onto the bed. Tae struggled, but Jungkook pinned both of his hands above his head with one, while the other began undressing him. The kiss traced down Tae's neck leaving a fiery mark. But suddenly, Jungkook froze.
A soft sob broke from Tae's lips. Seeing him so vulnerable pierced through Jungkook's anger. He had never hated. anyone this deeply-and yet, the pain made him feel lost. Why was Tae's suffering affecting him so profoundly? This wasn't who he was supposed to be.
Jungkook's voice softened but remained steady.
Jungkook: I told you-I don't like forcing anyone.
But if you keep pushing me like this... your tears won't stop me. I'm poor, but I'm no innocent boy.
Saying this, Jungkook left. Tae angrily got up from the bed and looked at himself in the mirror, where.
the bite mark clearly showed.
Tae: You... filthy dog... I will kill you.
Angry and in pain, Tae started destroying the whole room. Jungkook stopped when he heard the noise, took a deep breath, and came downstairs, where Jackson stood quietly. Without a word, Jungkook left the place. At that moment, two guards and the maid entered.
Jackson: Where did the other guards go?
Guard: Young master Yoongi ordered us to handle some emergency work, sir. That's why most of the guards left, and a few went with them.
Maid: Sir, about this boy...
Jackson: No need. I will speak them to myself. You go and clean his room once he calms down. Saying that, Jackson left. The three looked at him in disbelief.
After destroying the whole room, Tae went straight to the washroom. The maid had already filled the bathtub-not with water, but with ice cubes piled high, so many that they wouldn't melt anytime soon. Still fuming with anger, Tae sat in the tub, his body shivering from the cold, but his fury burning hotter with every second. The servant stared at him in disbelief before quietly leaving. Tae closed his eyes and tried to calm down, but the more he forced himself to relax, the more his rage boiled. Just then, Jackson walked in, and the remaining servants slipped out silently.
Jackson: Do you understand now why I always tell you not to treat people the way you do?
Tae: A scum like him-he got more than he deserved. If you're here to lecture me again, please leave. I'm
not in the mood for your discipline sessions.
Jackson: You might be able to silence me, Taehyung, but what about your father and brother? They'll kill him for your mistake.
Hearing this, Tae opened his eyes and glared at Jackson, anger and challenge burning in his stare. Jackson met his gaze, worry just barely showing in his blank expression.
Tae: Aren't you the one who always says everything is mine, right?
Jackson: Because I'm your mother, and I know you better than anyone, Taehyung. Please, stop whatever you're doing-before your dad and brother take an innocent life.
Tae: If you know me so well, then you should know there's no pity left in me. I'll only stop when I see his dead body.
With that, Tae stood up from the icy tub, wrapped himself in a bathrobe, and faced the mirror. His gaze immediately landed on the hickey still visible on his neck, reigniting his fury.
Tae: Everyone wants to respect me, or else they'll face the Kim power. He's not special-no one is. Jackson looked at Tae, helpless, watching his anger spin out of control, not sure how to get through to him.
Tae's fury built with every second he stared at that mark on his neck.
Tae: Don't think it'll be easy for you after what you did, Jeon-you f*cking idiot.
The next day, Jungkook did not have a peaceful sleep. Usually, he rested lightly even when he had nothing, but today was different. Memories of his parents haunted him through the night. His brief moments of sleep turned into nightmares-visions of himself as a seven-year-old child, his small body covered in blood, two lifeless figures lying beside him that looked like his parents, and a car accident flashing repeatedly in his mind.Suddenly, Jungkook jolted awake from the nightmare, breathing heavily.
Laila: Jungkook, what happened? Are you okay?
Jungkook looked at Laila, who was watching him with worried and caring eyes.
Laila: What's wrong, Jungkook?
Jungkook: Nothing... just a nightmare, that's all.
Laila: Hmm, go freshen up. I'll prepare breakfast for you and Dad.
Without saying a word, Jungkook only looked at Laila who had always loved him even when he clearly rejected her. Seeing Jungkook's silence, Laila stopped speaking. But before they realized it, something pulled them closer-until a sharp sound interrupted them. They both looked toward Minho, who was standing nearby, staring off somewhere.
Laila: Don't you know anything about couple privacy?
Minho: And don't you know anything about best friend things?
Minho smirked while Laila shot him an angry look and walked away. Minho then sat fully next to Jungkook, who tried to look somewhere else.
Minho: I planned to give you breakfast, but I didn't know you already had it in your heart.
Jungkook: Minho...
Minho: Come on, Jungkook, if you love her, just tell us. There's no need to hide it.
Jungkook: I do, but...
Minho: Jungkook, we were poor but not useless. Don't spoil your future by only working. There's so much more we need to see.
Jungkook: Sometimes I forget who's younger and who's elder here.
Minho: ofcourse it's me. So, what's going on with your job and house?
Taking a deep breath, Jungkook shared everything with Minho. Minho listened, his eyes filled with both anger and worry.
Minho: He looks innocent, but does gangster work. If you knew, why did you leave him so easily, Jungkook?
Jungkook: You know, getting one meal a day was rare for us. Do you think people like us get our rights easily? It's better for us to leave it. It's not fear, it's for our peace.
Minho: Then what's really on your mind? You've been acting close to him.
Hearing this, Jungkook realized Minho meant the scene at the restaurant.
Jungkook: I just wanted to teach him a lesson, nothing more.
Minho: Seriously? Nowadays, people use hugging lessons to teach lessons.
Minho teased with a smile. Jungkook stopped talking and opened the food to change the subject, but-
Minho: Don't you seriously want him? Or have you already fallen for Laila?
Jungkook: I don't know... but before my heart falls for him, I'd rather take my heart and bury it. His words were filled with anger-not just at Tae, but at how Tae's actions hurt him when his house
was touched. There was no room for pity anymore
only pain and hate.
