[Have you heard about the upcoming event in yggdrasil?]
[Yeah, yeah, I know. I just checked the game forum; there are so many comments.]
[This is a big event, I'm so excited!]
[Do you have the skills to be so excited?]
[With your super-powerful abilities, you might not even make it to the next round, hahaha.]
[Don't underestimate me!]
[Okay, I'm going to practice now!] (^✓^)
Archer and I became friends after the incident with the item selling, and we've been playing together for almost a year now. Playing with him is quite fun. I'm a bit mischievous and playful, but everything is fine.
The game yggdrasil is having a very prominent event: [World Tournament], where all participants will battle each other to find the champion of the 9 worlds in yggdrasil, and of course, I can't be left out.
I've decided to participate in the tournament in Niflheimr because that's where I started. It's also where I spend the most time. I also travel to other worlds to hunt monsters and find hidden bosses and [World Enemies]. I've teamed up with a pretty strong squad to defeat it. Do you think I'll solo it? Are you guys stupid? It's a World Enemy, one of the strongest bosses. You're telling me to go kill the boss alone? Don't give me bad advice!
Those bosses were recently found by players. I went with a party to learn how to tank damage for myself, and I also have an extremely powerful skill, hehe. [Blood Sacrifice]: The more enemies I kill or the more blood they inflict, reaching a certain level, the more I'll receive the [Corruption] status. This increases all stats and lifesteal, helping me heal myself. You get the idea, right? I'll kill the weaklings who might be about to be killed by the boss to accumulate the status for myself—killing two birds with one stone.
Back to the main topic! The event will take place next Monday. I'm really looking forward to it! There will be some memorable battles coming up!

Archer: [The event is about to start! Where are you, ZenDo?]
[You don't need to worry about me. You should worry about yourself. Besides, the main character will be the last one to arrive.]
Archer....
[Okay, okay, hurry up! It's about to start!]
I've read the event rules and registered for the event, and all I need to do is... Just waiting, I wonder who I'll be fighting against?

I was teleported to my waiting room, a normal room with a sofa, a table, and a screen showing other matches from other worlds. And I have to wait for my turn again... aaa, so boring.
The players are quite promising. While waiting for my turn, I watched some other players' matches. They were impressive, with all sorts of different skills, some of them buggy. It's almost my turn!

I was teleported to a rather large Roman arena, and in front of me was a human player, seemingly a warrior type.
[Hey, you stupid black-armored guy, you look so weak!] the player said, sending a laughing emoticon.
"...."
Why am I being provoked already? I look so weak. What should I say now? Oh well, never mind, it's about to begin. No need to waste words on this idiot.
As soon as the match started, I immediately used my skill to accelerate and close in on my opponent. With a powerful stomp, I shot forward like an arrow, right in front of the unfortunate player.
The other player seemed surprised by my sudden approach, raising his spear for a thrust aimed at his weak point.
The other player reacted quickly, raising his sword to block and simultaneously activating a skill to block and reduce damage from my attack.
I hit them, dealing some damage, but it seemed insignificant because the damage was blocked and reduced. I was fine; my spear was corroded.
The player immediately attacked me relentlessly. He raised his greatsword and slashed at my side. Thanks to my agility, I dodged, only taking a small amount of damage from his attack. He seemed annoyed that I dodged.
I used a medium-level lightning spell, unleashing a black and red lightning bolt straight at the player, creating an explosion that dealt area damage. The other player was no less aggressive; he used a defensive skill and teleported behind me, intending to sneak attack. This guy seems quite cowardly.
He continued to use area-of-effect skills to kill me. I landed a blow, but he seemed to be having trouble. The corrosive power of the spear was still present, his health was still decreasing, and he was weakening. Using the [Swarm] skill, I transformed into a swarm of flies to attack him, interrupting his progress, dealing damage, and draining his health.
He was caught off guard and couldn't react in time. I seized the opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to finish him off and advance to the next round.
It was quite an interesting battle for me. I'm really looking forward to my next opponents.
I returned to the waiting room to wait for my turn and decided to watch other people's matches while I waited.
I found a rather fascinating battle. On one side was Noctis Raven, an undead mage player, and on the other side was Aurelia Dawnbringer, a warrior, known as the Glowing Golden Armor. The sword in her hand radiated such pure energy that it distorted the air.
They charged at each other as soon as the match began. I thought there would be some back-and-forth banter between them.
Noctis raised his hand.
A massive magic circle appeared behind him.
"Summon: Legion of the Fallen."
The ground cracked open, and hundreds of undead rose up—from skeletal knights to chained demons. The entire battlefield was instantly engulfed in a wave of death. A summoning spell? Looks cool, but I have one too, though they're all insects!
Aurelia didn't retreat; he decided to confront the other player directly.
Taking a step forward, he raised his sword and used his skill.
"Divine Radiance."
A burst of light erupted.
A column of light descended from the sky, incinerating all the undead within a wide area. The dark creatures disintegrated into dust in seconds. What? That guy summoned a bunch of undead and then wiped them all out? What?
But Noctis didn't seem bothered by the fact that his horde of undead was wiped out.
"Just as expected." That's a pretty cool line I have to write down so I can say it in my next match.
He snapped his fingers.
The ashes suddenly condensed, twisting together, transforming into a gigantic entity—Bone Colossus, a skeletal golem dozens of meters tall. Oh, using it again?
Aurelia tightened his grip on his sword.
Bone Colossus unleashed a devastating blow.
Aurelia dodged in a split second, the ground behind him exploding into hundreds of fragments. He counterattacked immediately, charging forward at a speed beyond the limits of the human eye.
"Sacred Slash!"
A beam of light slashed through Colossus's arm, shattering it. But almost instantly, the destroyed part regenerated.
"No effect?"—what a game-breaking thing!
From afar, Noctis shouted:
"Immune to normal physical damage. And even sacred attribute damage… only reduces the effect, not nullifies it."
Aurelia narrowed her eyes.
"Really, buddy?"
"Putting your sword into the ground, using a skill that increases damage, right? I'm not sure."
Another magic circle appeared—but this time it wasn't light. Wait, I thought he was a warrior of light?
"Hybrid Invocation."
Her sword turned purple—a blend of light and darkness.
The battle escalated.
Aurelia destroyed parts of Colossus with her hybrid attacks, while Noctis constantly changed tactics—teleporting, setting traps, and unleashing high-level spells.
Neither player would yield, exchanging skills and moves as both their health dwindled.
It seemed they intended to end the battle, with both unleashing their strongest moves to finish off the other. Who would win?
A slash.
Light and shadow merged into one, piercing through every layer of absolute cinematic defense—it looked incredibly cool.
Noctis's health bar… dropped to zero.
"I lost, you're the winner!" the player vanished into particles of light.
"Victory… belongs to Aurelia Dawnbringer!"
Oh… I thought that skeletal guy won. If I had known, I wouldn't have bet with those other players; they'd just given me my money back.
