Two years had passed since the war with the Golden Empire. While Azrak was at peace, Kael felt a growing restlessness. Lyra, now the royal mage of Azrak, noticed that the blue fire's radiance was changing.
"Kael, have you seen it?" Lyra asked on the balcony. "The blue of the sky is turning into a pale 'Teal'."
Kael drew his sword. The fire it emitted was colder than ever before. "It's not just the sky, Lyra. I hear a strange calling from the direction of the sea."
Suddenly, Celeste appeared, looking troubled. "The secret of the blue fire isn't limited to the land. Deep within the oceans of Azrak lies a sunken city—The Sunken Kingdom of Aethel."
She warned them that an ancient enemy had awakened in the depths—The Leviathan of Shadows. It seeks to extinguish the blue fire forever so the entire world sinks into watery darkness.
"We must go there," Kael said with resolve.
Going underwater was no easy feat. They needed a power that could keep the blue fire burning beneath the waves. Zoya gave them an ancient Blue Pearl that had protected their family for generations.
Kael and Lyra took a magical boat and set sail far beyond Azrak's borders. In the middle of the ocean, a massive whirlpool formed and dragged their boat down.
When they opened their eyes, they were in a world of glowing coral reefs where magic vibrated through the water instead of air. Before them stood a massive gold and blue gate inscribed with: "Only he who sacrifices his fear, not his breath, may enter."
As Kael reached out to touch the massive gate, a surge of blue energy pulled them inside. Standing once again, they beheld the city of Aethel—a sight straight out of a dream.
Instead of blue fire, the walls flickered with 'Blue Lightning,' much like the magic Zoya used in the palace. Kael realized he could move through the water as easily as on land, as if the Blue Pearl was granting him the power to breathe and fight.
"Kael, look!" Lyra pointed. In the city's center sat a massive Crystal shrouded in darkness. Around it, Shadow Eels circled menacingly.
"That is the Leviathan's heart," Lyra whispered. "If we don't light it with the blue fire, this ocean will belong to the darkness forever."
Suddenly, a giant eye opened from the depths—The Leviathan of Shadows. Its voice boomed through the water like an explosion: "Heirs of the blue fire... how dare you disturb my peace?"
The Leviathan struck with its massive tail. Kael blocked it with his sword, but the water pressure made his arm tremble. Lyra immediately unleashed blue lightning from her hands, pushing the beast back momentarily.
"Kael, we have to reach that Crystal!" Lyra shouted.
Together, they created an underwater tornado that propelled them toward the Crystal. Kael drove his sword into the heart of the gem, pouring all his energy into it.
But the Leviathan coiled its body around Kael. "Your sacrifice... will be in vain!"
The Leviathan coiled around Kael so tightly that he began to lose his breath. Its darkness was trying to swallow his blue fire.
"Kael!" Lyra screamed. She saw the Crystal's light fading. If Kael didn't act now, all would be lost.
Casting aside her fear, Lyra placed both palms on the Crystal and chanted the ancient mantra of true love and friendship: "Spirit's lightning and heart's fire... become one!"
Suddenly, golden and blue lightning erupted from her hands and entered the Crystal. The resulting explosion loosened the Leviathan's grip.
Kael seized the moment, driving his sword deeper into the Crystal. "This is for the protection of Azrak!"
A massive blue dragon made of water and wreathed in lightning emerged from the gem. It seized the Leviathan and dragged it down into the void. With one final scream, the beast dissolved like smoke in the water.
Silence fell.
The city of Aethel was now bathed in a serene blue light. The water felt light and peaceful. Kael and Lyra knelt before the glowing Crystal, their hands entwined.
"We... did it, Lyra," Kael panted.
Lyra smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. "No, our unity did it."
Celeste appeared amidst the waves. "The secret of the deep is safe. But remember, the protection of the blue fire will now be the responsibility of the generations to come."
With the help of the Blue Pearl, they began their journey back to the surface of Azrak, where Aryan and Zoya awaited them.
