I'm trying so much not to tell Nyx anything but this brother of mine is gets into my nerves sometimes. Oh god.
I sigh while running my fingers through my hair.
"Gabriele, order the bodyguards to keep an eye on Nyx. Though I have been doing it myself-" Someone knocking the door of my study room interrupted me.
Before I could ask the person something Gabriele went to the door to check.
"What do you want, Miss?" He asked softly. I know Nyx is the only creature in this house who is spoken so softly by everyone in this house that somehow makes me jealous of like why not. No matter how delusional people may call me but I just know that she is mine. Only mine. And everyone will know this soon enough.
"Let her in." I used my usual tone of voice.
"It's ok, sir. She is leaving." He replied.
Gabi closed the door and stood where he was standing before.
"She didn't heard anything, did she?" I asked him out of curiosity.
"No I guess." He replied.
"Don't let her or anyone know that what she is to me. I mean before her awakening what happened. Don't let my brother to anywhere near her. Just call him here if he is home." I said while thinking about something.
"Sir.." by that tone of Gabi's voice I can make out that he is hesitating.
"What it is? Tell me." My voice was firm when I said that.
"I.. um.. I have to tell you this no matter what." Looking at him curiously.
"It's about my brother, business or Nyx?" One stare from my sleepy eyes is enough to make him tell the truth.
"Sir, Mr. Marco was asking me to give him a spare key of Miss. Nyx's room." Wasn't things already enough to make me jealous and now this. He is still hesitating.
"You can leave now." He nodded.
