Chapter 1 - Every Drop Counts.

Every drop counts.....

Story.

In a small village, there lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun was very energetic, but he had a bad habit: he wasted a lot of water. He would leave the tap running while brushing his teeth, take long showers using a hose, and splash water everywhere just for fun.

His grandfather often warned him, "Arjun, every drop of water is a blessing from nature. If you waste it today, you will long for it tomorrow." But Arjun would just shrug and say, "There's plenty of water in the river, Grandpa! Why worry?"

The Day the Taps Ran Dry

One scorching summer morning, Arjun woke up feeling very thirsty. He went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, but the pitcher was empty. He turned on the tap, but only a dry, hissing sound came out.

He ran to his mother, who was worriedly looking at empty buckets. "The village well has dried up because of the heat, and the water tanker won't arrive until tomorrow," she explained.

As the day went on, the heat became unbearable. Arjun's throat felt like sandpaper. He went to his friends' houses, but everyone was guarding their small jars of water like gold. For the first time, Arjun realized that without water, he couldn't cook, clean, or even stay comfortable.

A Lesson Learned

By evening, Arjun was exhausted and weak. Seeing his grandson's condition, the grandfather took out a small bottle of water he had saved from his own share and gave it to Arjun.

As Arjun drank the cool water, his grandfather said gently, "Today you are thirsty for just a few hours. But if we don't respect water, the whole world will feel this thirst forever."

Arjun looked down in shame. He remembered all the gallons of water he had let flow down the drain for no reason.

The Change

The next morning, when the water supply finally returned, Arjun didn't run to play with the hose. Instead, he did three things:

He used only one mug of water to brush his teeth.

He helped his father fix the leaking tap in the garden.

He used the leftover water from washing vegetables to water the plants.

Moral of the Story

"Water is the driving force of all nature."

We often don't realize the value of water until the well is dry. Saving water isn't just a good habit; it is a responsibility we owe to our planet and our future. Save Water, Save Earth.

The end ..

Thankyou...
