The night was different than the others. Only the faint sound of rain drops could be heard. The room was wrapped in unusual silence. She sat by the window staring at the flickering street light.
Suddenly her phone lit-up with a notification.
It was a text from an unknown number. She hesitatingly opened it . It stated -
"Don't open the door tonight , Lara."
She stared at the message and put the phone aside thinking that it might be her friends pranking on her
and turned out the thoughts. The she heard it-
KNOCK, KNOCK !!
Th message clicked on her mind . Her chest tightened with curiosity and an unknown fear. She took hesitatant steps towards the door and clicked open the door knob with trembling hands.
The hallway was empty no one was there .
A cold breeze brushed against her skin. The vase on the table slipped and dashed into pieces making her startled. She shut the door quickly and popped on the bed . She took a long breath and smelled a slicky scent that didn't belong to her bedroom.
She quietly laid down and shut her eyes tightly trying to ignore everything.
Then her phone buzzed again with amother notification.
She read the text , her eyes widened and her breath almost caught in her throat.
The message said -
"I warned you "
"I'm already inside."
The floor creaked behind her...
