"You know about the news that spread online a few days ago, don't you?" Zoey asked.
Sienna gave a small nod. Of course she knew. It had been impossible to ignore. The rumors had spread quickly, dragging her name into public discussion and forcing her to relive a painful part of her past.
Zoey folded her arms and continued in a calm but firm voice.
"If those rumors continue to spread and my brother's enemies discover who you are, they'll use you to attack him. People in his position always have rivals waiting for an opportunity. The moment they find a weakness, they'll take advantage of it."
She paused briefly before adding, "That's why you should resign before things get worse. What happened between you and Benjamin Foster is far too complicated. Once people start digging into your past, they won't stop until they've turned it into a weapon against Zach."
Sienna slowly lowered her gaze, her hands tightening into fists once again.
