Chapter 79 - Uchiha Ren: I’ll Slap Mito’s Face with Money!

"Kill them all!"

A dense mist rolled in, blurring vision—the standard battlefield technique of Kirigakure.

Gengetsu Hozuki casually snapped the neck of an Iwagakure grunt, then pointed forward at the incoming enemy forces. Behind him, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen grinned with excitement.

Today was their moment—to make a name across the ninja world.

Kirigakure, isolated overseas, had long enforced brutal internal training. The Seven Swordsmen were nothing short of bloodthirsty monsters—and now they were unleashed.

"Hahaha! Iwagakure won't escape this time!"

Gengetsu laughed wildly. He had little personal hatred toward Konoha—this war was strategic. But with Mu, it was different. Their feud ran deep.

"Stop playing with your prey! Finish them quickly!"

He warned his subordinates. They had a bad habit—dragging out kills for amusement. But more Iwa forces were arriving. They had to break through and hit the rear.

An Iwa squad leader fired a signal flare into the sky. A strange chakra pulse spread outward.

Moments later—

Gengetsu suddenly paused. His sharp senses detected an overwhelming chakra presence.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Massive magma bombs rained down, scattering the Mist forces.

Dodging the molten blasts, Gengetsu saw a short red-haired ninja radiating immense chakra.

A jinchūriki?

Only tailed beasts carried chakra like that.

Iwagakure… had succeeded in creating one?

Until now, only Konoha had managed that. It required both a suitable host and advanced sealing techniques—something mainly mastered by the Uzumaki clan.

A grave miscalculation.

"Fall back! That kid is a jinchūriki!"

"Lava Style—!"

Roshi charged forward, cloaked in molten chakra. He became a walking volcano—touch him and you burned.

He tore through Mist forces like a storm. Even the Seven Swordsmen couldn't approach. His defense was monstrous.

"Damn it!"

Gengetsu gritted his teeth. If this dragged on and Mu arrived, things would spiral out of control.

"Fall behind me. I'll handle him!"

"Water Style: Water Gun!"

"Water Style: Great Waterfall!"

"Water Style: Water Dragon!"

Water flooded the battlefield, suppressing Roshi's magma cloak. Steam hissed violently.

"It's working!"

Gengetsu pressed harder, aiming to capture him alive.

But Roshi struggled in the water, losing stamina—

"Earth Style: Ultra-Light Boulder Technique!"

Suddenly, he rose above the water, standing on a floating rock.

"Cough… thanks, Onoki!"

Onoki hovered in the air, gathering chakra into a glowing cone.

Dust Release.

"Dust Release: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!"

A beam swept across the battlefield, disintegrating everything it touched.

"Scatter!"

Gengetsu dodged, but many Mist ninja weren't so lucky—half their bodies erased instantly.

"Kill them!"

No more holding back.

Just then—

"Hahaha! Gengetsu, you've gotten sloppy!"

Mu arrived, floating in the air. He glanced approvingly at Onoki.

"Even together, you're no match for me!"

Gengetsu bit his finger.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

A giant clam appeared.

"Mirage: Steam Imp!"

Mist filled the battlefield again, creating illusions.

"Retreat!" Mu shouted. "This isn't your fight!"

Onoki hovered above, unable to distinguish real from illusion.

"What now, sensei?"

Mu smirked. "Destroy everything."

"Dust Release!"

A massive beam swept through the mist.

Gengetsu cursed internally. That technique was absurd.

"Steam Imp Explosion!"

His clone leapt forward—then detonated in a violent steam blast.

Mu was scorched but endured.

"Still as tricky as ever…"

Mu began tracking him.

The clone shrank, then charged toward Iwa troops, slaughtering them before building up for another explosion.

Gengetsu grinned—until—

"I've got you."

Mu descended rapidly.

Gengetsu tried to flee, summoning his clone back.

"Running won't save you."

Mu closed in, energy gathering in his hand.

Victory was within reach.

Gengetsu turned, exhausted—but smiling.

"You think you've won?"

"Let's go to hell together."

Mu realized too late—

The clone had arrived.

Gengetsu leapt, grabbing him.

BOOM!

A massive explosion engulfed them both.

Steam and heat consumed everything.

Two lifelong enemies—gone together.

The blast drew both armies. Fighting resumed fiercely until Konoha forces intervened.

The First Great Ninja War was nearing its end.

All second-generation Kage had fallen.

Far away in Konoha—

Uchiha Ren received the news and burst into joy.

He immediately informed Nara Shikaku and deployed ninja to maintain order in the futures market.

The war was finally ending.

And the profits…

Ren smiled.

This time—

He would slap Mito Uzumaki in the face with money.
