Chapter 41: The Gap Between Humans
Since his cover had been blown by Robin, Dragon no longer bothered to hide his intentions.
"That's right, I did indeed have such a plan. I wonder if Miss Robin would be willing to introduce me to your boss?"
Robin looked up at Yumesaki for a moment, but Yumesaki simply shook his head.
Understanding the silent cue, Robin replied, "My apologies, but it seems my boss has no plans to meet with you at this time. However, Mr. Dragon, you can rest easy—my boss doesn't have the slightest bit of a good impression of the World Government."
"When the time is right, I'm sure you will have the opportunity to meet."
Dragon also understood that some things could not be rushed. He spoke calmly, "If that is the case, please tell your boss, Miss Robin, that I look forward to the day I meet him. Regarding the matter of Cosette, I agree."
"I'm curious, where do you plan to send Cosette? Is it still to the Kingdom of Alabasta?"
"No." Robin shook her head. "East Blue, Loguetown."
While she dearly wanted to have Kuma send Cosette directly to the small island where they were currently staying, that place was unfortunately a nameless, uninhabited island. There were countless islands like that in the East Blue, and Kuma wouldn't necessarily know of its existence.
Therefore, sending her to Loguetown was the safest bet. After all, Loguetown was famous throughout the world because of the Pirate King; it was impossible for Kuma not to know it.
"I understand," Dragon nodded. "I will send Cosette to the port of Loguetown."
"Then, I shall leave it in your hands, Mr. Dragon."
After the two shared a few more words of polite conversation, Robin hung up the Den Den Mushi. She turned to Yumesaki with a smile. "Based on my understanding of Dragon, Cosette will be sent to Loguetown in less than two days."
Yumesaki stood up and spoke decisively. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's head out. To Loguetown."
His main goal in coming to this deserted island had been to train his Haki Infusion. Now that the technique was mastered, it was time to return to civilization.
That very afternoon, Yumesaki's group cut through the waves and arrived at Loguetown. They took the opportunity to enjoy a lavish meal at the city's most famous restaurant. Although Robin could cook, her skills couldn't compare to those of a professional chef. Yumesaki certainly didn't want to torment his own taste buds if he didn't have to.
Once his stomach was full, Yumesaki returned to the ship and began to extract Chakra.
Previously, Tsunade had told him that the cells in his body were too few. If he forced the extraction of Chakra, he might not even reach the level of a Konoha Genin in his entire life—and there was even a chance he would damage his own body. Because of that, Yumesaki had kept his distance from extraordinary powers like Chakra.
Chakra was great, but his life was far more important.
However, the situation was different now.
Ever since he realized his physique was beginning to evolve, becoming more like the people of the One Piece world, Yumesaki had gained the courage to extract Chakra. Humans in this world possessed incredibly powerful cellular energy, and combined with the abundant nutrients from the food he ate, he wasn't afraid of straining his cells at all.
This was evident just by looking at the monsters of this world.
In the world of Naruto, Sarutobi Hiruzen was in his sixties and already heavily aged. But Garp? That man was over seventy and still a powerhouse, unleashing ultimate moves at will without even breaking a sweat. Among the Yonko, Whitebeard was over seventy, Charlotte Linlin was in her sixties, and Kaido was in his fifties—all of them were still incredibly tough.
The three Admirals were the same. Kizaru was over fifty, Akainu was over fifty, and Aokiji was nearing fifty. Even Fujitora and Ryokugyu, who became Admirals through the World Military Draft, weren't young anymore. Fujitora was fifty, and Ryokugyu was a bit younger, in his forties.
At such an age, whether on Earth or in the world of Naruto, one would be considered middle-aged or elderly. Yet in the world of One Piece, they were arguably in their prime.
Why was it so nonsensical? It was because of their bottomless stamina and cells brimming with vitality, allowing them to remain top-tier fighters even in their late forties or fifties.
That was exactly why Yumesaki dared to extract Chakra. Even if his physical quality wasn't yet as strong as those monsters, he was at least on that path. It was visible in his appetite, which increased every single day. Under this constant supply of nutrients, his cells' vitality was skyrocketing.
As a result, extracting Chakra for half an hour every day wouldn't damage Yumesaki's body in the slightest. And as his stamina grew and his physique strengthened, the duration of his Chakra extraction could be gradually extended.
Nico Robin was a prime example.
Since she started learning to extract Chakra, she had been doing it for three hours straight every day without any issues. Every time she finished, her results were several—even a dozen—times greater than Yumesaki's. By now, Robin's Chakra was already on par with a Konoha Elite Chunin.
And this had only been a few days.
Yumesaki estimated that if she kept this up, in less than a month, Robin could catch up to Tsunade's Chakra levels. It was worth noting that it had taken Tsunade decades to reach her current stage.
But then again, when he thought about it, Uzumaki Naruto had saved the Ninja World at the age of seventeen. Son Goku was searching for Dragon Balls at twelve, entered the Tenkaichi Budokai at fifteen, defeated King Piccolo to save the Earth, suppressed Piccolo at eighteen, and by twenty-three, he had transformed into a Super Saiyan to finish off the galactic overlord, Frieza.
From this, it was clear that the gap between one human and another could be larger than the gap between a human and a dog.
Once the Chakra extraction was finished, the bloated feeling in his stomach completely vanished, and his total pool of Chakra had grown slightly. It was enough for Yumesaki to perform the Transformation Jutsu once.
As a side note, Yumesaki had learned this Transformation Jutsu from Hashirama, but activating it was a massive pain. Just to perform the Hand Seals, he needed several seconds. He had no other choice; since Yumesaki didn't have the powers of the Hana Hana no Mi to sprout extra arms, he could only use his two hands to weave the seals, making his speed incredibly slow. He couldn't compare to Robin at all.
Fortunately, Yumesaki didn't mind.
Among the thousands of worlds out there, combat methods that didn't require hand seals were countless. Yumesaki had no intention of fighting using Ninjutsu. Extracting Chakra and studying the arts was merely for the sake of mastering the Transformation Jutsu and the Clone Jutsu. After all, those two techniques were incredibly useful.
After practicing his Ninjutsu for a while, night had already fallen.
During dinner, Robin asked, "Do you want to go to the Naruto world today?"
"Let's go."
Yumesaki had been in the One Piece world for a few days now. He figured Tsunade and the others should have finished their business by now, and it was time to head back and meet up with them.
After dinner, Yumesaki found a random door, opened it, and arrived in the world of Naruto.
The location was still Orochimaru's secret base. Upon entering, Yumesaki saw Tobirama talking to a red-haired woman. The woman was very thin, and her face was pale, lacking even a hint of color. Beside her was a young girl, about seven or eight years old.
This little girl was the Uzumaki clan orphan... Karin.
