Theon said, his voice carrying that familiar teasing edge as he followed Vael into the office.
The door clicked shut behind them. Vael's shoulders were already tight, the muscles beneath his tailored shirt as he moved toward his desk. He could feel Theon's gaze on his back, that probing, knowing look that always seemed to see too much.
Vael reached up with one hand, his fingers finding the knot of his tie and loosening it with a sharp tug. The fabric gave way. He exhaled a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Then he settled into the leather chair behind his mahogany desk.
