A dark haired boy watched as his mother created water animals in the sky, through magic of course. The boy-still amazed-asked his mother a question.
"Mom, when will I be able to learn magic?" His his still focused on the floating animals made of water.
His mother-a dark haired woman- turned to face her son. She playfully flicked the boy's forehead and sat on a chair. She tapped on the chair next to her for him to sit. Once they were both sitted, she asked him a question in response to his.
"Leo, do you remember the age range when someone's mana core is supposed to fully form?" She asked with a septical look highly doubting that he remembers.
After a bit of thought, he answered. "From ages 9-12 if I'm correct?"
His light blue eyes widened in realization," That means I'm going to awaken mine too."
His mother gave him an assuring nod with a smile, confirming his speculation. Leo was overflowing with excitement and as he was going to brag to his father he looked at his mother confused.
"But how will I know if I have awakened or not?"
"And there you're at it again," she said with mock frustration. "How many times do I have to tell you to know all the important details first?"
Leo looked away shyly, " I kinda forgot about that."
His mother giggled-already expecting that answer, "As usual. Anyway, you'll feel something flowing within you or in the environment."
"Now I remember, thanks." He then entered the house.
As he ran inside, he suddenly found himself off the ground. Confused, he looked around to find the culprit just to see his father carrying him.
"Now where's my little soldier going?" He asked Leo.
The excited Leo answered with a smile,"Dad, did you know my mana core will fully form anytime soon?"
"Oh really, how old are you?" His father asked.
Leo dumbfounded that his own father forgot his age replied,"How could you forget your own child's age?"
"I'm sorry, but you'll forgive me right?" He pleaded with Leo.
"Since you're my father I will," Leo accepted his plea.
"Wait a sec, you're saying that if I weren't you father you wouldn't forgive me?" His father suddenly realized his son's statement.
He then sighed,"You're truly just like your mother."
"But at least your looks come from me," he said with a proud smile.
Leo always the one to burst his father's buddle, shook his head in disagreement and jumped out his father's grasp. He walked away after he told his father that he's 12years old.
"He's very excited to awaken, isn't he Arthur?" His mother said as she entered the house.
He turned his head to her approaching figure,"He indeed is very excited, but he might turn out like you, Alice."
"How so?" Alice asked with an eyebrow raised.
"The way he acts and his personality mirror you when you were younger," Arthur explained.
"I told you but you just wouldn't listen." Alice said glad that he finally agreed.
"Anyway, I better get to cooking," Alice left to the kitchen.
The day went by as anyway normal day in the White family residence. Well, that was until after dinner where something interesting happened to Leo.
