Chapter 642: Shiroyasha: Kuro Usagi's Voluptuous Body, I Love It!
The 3345th Outer Gate in the four-digit gate on the east side of Hakoniwa, which is the base of Thousand Eyes. The bustling marketplace was a tapestry of sights and sounds, but one rabbit-eared girl was oblivious to it all.
"Shiroyasha-sama, is this, is this real?"
Kuro Usagi looked at the paper in her hand, her crimson eyes wide with a mix of shock and unbridled excitement. Her long blue hair fluttered as her ears perked up, twitching in anticipation.
The reason for her excitement was written in elegant script on the parchment.
It was a Gift Game certificate, issued by the Parsus Community.
But a single Gift Game naturally couldn't excite her this much. Gift Games were common in the Little Garden, though winning one was always a boon.
She had originally planned to invite people from outside Hakoniwa to Hakoniwa to expand the No Name Community. They were desperate for new blood, for anyone with a Gift strong enough to help them reclaim their lost glory.
Then, upon receiving a message from Shiroyasha-sama, she immediately dropped what she was doing—negotiating with a particularly stubborn merchant for supplies—and rushed over, her heart pounding in her chest.
The reason she was so excited was that this Gift Game certificate concerned Arcadia, the predecessor of the No Name Community.
Arcadia's flag was seized, and its name could no longer be spoken within Hakoniwa. It was a wound that refused to heal, a scar on the history of the Little Garden.
And the members of Arcadia had all fallen apart, scattered like leaves in a storm.
Among them, Kuro Usagi's respected senior and partner, Leticia Draculair, had gone missing after being attacked and taken by a Demon Lord. Leticia, the pureblood Vampire King, reduced to a prize.
Not long ago, she heard rumors—whispers in the dark alleys of the lower districts—that Leticia had become a prize in the Parsus Community's Gift Game.
And now, Shiroyasha-sama had suddenly given her the Parsus Community's Gift Game certificate. It was tangible proof, a beacon of hope.
This meant there was a possibility of bringing Leticia back! To restore even a fraction of their former strength.
Initially, Kuro Usagi was excited. She could almost see Leticia's calm, reassuring smile.
But not long after, the reality of their situation crashed down on her.
Her perked-up rabbit ears suddenly drooped, losing their vibrancy. Her shoulders slumped.
It was certainly good to have a chance to reclaim Leticia.
But… she seemed to lack the ability now.
Or rather, the current No Name lacked the ability. They were a shadow of a shadow.
As glorious as the former Nameless, Arcadia, once was, so dilapidated was the current Nameless.
Arcadia. The name tasted bitter on her tongue.
In the past, it was the most powerful Community in the eastern region. A beacon of order and strength.
It was known as the Community that had defeated the most Demon Lords in human history. Their banner was a symbol of hope.
Led by Canaria, it was a Community established to kill the strongest Demon Lord that sealed humanity's future—one of the "Last Trials of Humanity," "Closed World," to prevent humanity from becoming livestock. It was a noble, impossible goal.
It once established a grand alliance of "Dominators" with many top-tier upper-class Communities. They were the architects of a new era.
This was Arcadia's most glorious moment.
Three years ago.
It was defeated in a game by a Demon Lord whose identity is currently unknown. A sudden, catastrophic loss.
Overnight, everything necessary for the Community was taken away. Their wealth, their land, their pride.
It lost its main members, its name, and its flag. They were stripped bare.
Nameless lacked everything, especially people. Their headquarters was a ruin, their fields barren.
The current Nameless was still struggling, supported by Kuro Usagi alone, with most of the others being children and ordinary people. She worked herself to the bone just to keep them fed.
Even the current leader of Nameless, Jin Russell, was just an eleven-year-old child. A brilliant mind, yes, but still a child burdened with the weight of a fallen empire.
Only she and Jin were qualified to participate in Gift Games in the entire Nameless. Two against the world.
In other words, the current Nameless had no capable people. No fighters, no strategists, no resources.
Kuro Usagi had a clear understanding of herself, knowing that her abilities were insufficient. She was a Judge Master, a referee, not a warrior of the highest caliber needed to challenge a Demon Lord's game.
She also didn't believe that Jin could turn the tide in a Gift Game. He was smart, but he lacked the power to back up his strategies.
So, there was no possibility of winning the Parsus Community's Gift Game. It was a trap, or a futile dream.
Therefore, this opportunity seemed to be wasted. A cruel joke.
The feeling of having an opportunity right in front of her, yet being unable to do anything, caused Kuro Usagi immense pain. It was a physical ache in her chest.
Kuro Usagi pursed her lips, and with difficulty, handed the certificate back. Her hand trembled.
"I'm sorry, Shiroyasha-sama, Nameless… currently doesn't have the ability to win such a Gift Game, and we also can't attract unnecessary attention."
Kuro Usagi was not stupid at all. She knew the political landscape of the Little Garden was a minefield.
Arcadia's destruction was not accidental. It was a calculated hit.
It was because Arcadia's actions displeased the gods in the upper echelons of Hakoniwa. They had flown too close to the sun.
Behind the Demon Lord's attack on Arcadia, there must have been some handiwork from the gods. A conspiracy of divine proportions.
The currently weak Nameless should even less make conspicuous moves. To do so would be to invite final destruction.
Shiroyasha-sama lightly fanned the folding fan in her hand, the movement elegant and dismissive. She rolled her eyes at Kuro Usagi, her golden eyes flashing with a mix of annoyance and amusement.
"Do you think I don't know how dilapidated your Nameless is now?"
"To win this Gift Game would be a fantasy for you. You lack the pieces on the board."
"Uh…"
This was an undeniable fact. Hearing it spoken aloud by the Floor Master made it sting all the more.
After an awkward moment, Kuro Usagi asked in confusion, "Then, Shiroyasha-sama, why did you give this to me?"
"A transaction."
Shiroyasha-sama narrowed her eyes, her playful demeanor shifting to something sharper, more calculating.
Her goal was only one, and that was to obtain Leticia. The Vampire King was too valuable a piece to leave in the hands of a minor community like Parsus.
But her own identity was very conspicuous.
As the former strongest Astral Spirit, one of the most vicious Demon Lords, "Last Trials of Humanity," "Geocentric Theory," a celestial law that existed before the concepts of heaven and earth were born, the "White Night Demon Lord" who reigned at the pinnacle of the cosmic view... her every move was scrutinized.
She was also one of Hakoniwa's three problem children. A title earned through eons of chaotic behavior.
Even now that she had become Shiroyasha with the Yaksha Divine Authority, diminishing her power to fit into the lower floors.
She was still constantly watched by the gods in the upper echelons. They feared her returning to her true nature.
Canaria was also a thorn in the side of the gods; if she deeply intervened now, Nameless would certainly receive special attention. It would paint a target on their backs.
If it weren't for these concerns.
With her methods, she could easily obtain ownership of Leticia from the Parsus Community. She could crush them with a thought.
Unfortunately, she couldn't do that. The rules of the game bound even her.
Even facilitating this Gift Game had taken a great deal of effort from her. Strings pulled, favors called in.
Especially that idiot Parsus. He was a greedy, short-sighted fool.
Originally, he was going to stop the Gift Game and then sell Leticia outside of Hakoniwa. To traffick a former Demon Lord like common goods.
She had put in no small effort to prevent that.
But the matter of reclaiming Leticia had to be done by Ren himself.
"Transaction?"
Kuro Usagi completely didn't understand. Her mind raced, trying to connect the dots.
Did the current Ren have anything that Shiroyasha would be interested in? He was powerful, yes, but what did he possess that the White Night King coveted?
Wait!
A sudden, terrifying thought struck her.
As if she had thought of something scandalous, Kuro Usagi hugged her chest and stepped back, her ears twitching as she shivered.
"Shiroyasha, are you... are you not going to make me wear some strange clothes again?"
Shiroyasha showed a lecherous smile, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh? You're quite self-aware. It's not impossible as an extra side dish."
"Huh?"
Side dish? Was she... was she just an appetizer?
Kuro Usagi realized she might have misunderstood, but with Shiroyasha, you never knew.
Shiroyasha also said seriously, dropping the lewd act for a moment: "I will give you a chance to win, but after reclaiming the ownership of Leticia, I will personally collect the reward from Leticia."
Of course, she also knew that Ren was pitifully weak now—or at least, that's what the surface level indicated—and it was impossible for him to win back Leticia through normal means.
So she had a backup plan. A wildcard.
"Eh? Isn't it a transaction with Ren?"
"Heh heh, you wouldn't think that Ren currently has anything I'd be interested in besides your alluring body, Kuro Usagi, would you?"
Shiroyasha sneered, stepping closer.
Her gaze brazenly scrutinized Kuro Usagi's entire body, lingering on her curves with appreciation. "Those legs, that figure... truly a masterpiece of the Moon Rabbits."
"Eek!!!"
Kuro Usagi's body trembled, and she cried out in distress, covering herself as best she could. "Shiroyasha, don't make such jokes! This is serious!"
"Who said I was joking?" Shiroyasha winked, snapping her fan shut.
"But relax, little rabbit. My interest in Ren goes beyond mere physical transactions. He represents... a variable. And in this stagnant garden, a variable is the most valuable commodity of all."
