Chapter 677: Albedo, Shalltear, and a Group of Maids Move into the Villa!
"How is it? Are you satisfied with this place?"
Ren asked with genuine interest, his golden eyes observing Amano Hina's expression closely as they stood in the center of the grand foyer. The crystal chandelier above cast a prismatic glow over his features, making him look less like a landlord and more like a young monarch.
He saw her petite body trembling violently. Her hands clutched the hem of her worn-out skirt, her knuckles turning white from the strain.
It wasn't dissatisfaction, but sheer, overwhelming shock that had seized her.
"This place is so luxurious it's unbelievable!!!"
The bursting Amano Hina was so excited she couldn't control herself, her body trembling from excitement and shock. Her eyes darted from the marble floors that reflected her worn shoes to the velvet drapes that likely cost more than her entire life's earnings.
But after the excitement, the cold water of reality splashed over her. She inevitably felt inferior. The grandeur of the villa pressed down on her, highlighting her own helplessness.
"Um, do I really have to live here from now on? But... I don't have money for rent."
Her voice dropped to a whisper, filled with the crushing weight of poverty. "Even if I worked three jobs for a hundred years, I couldn't afford a single tile in this hallway!"
Her eyes dimmed.
Of course, she wanted to live here. Who wouldn't? It was a castle, a dream made manifest. But now she didn't even have a part-time job. She was a runaway, a girl with nothing but the clothes on her back and a magical power she barely understood and feared to use.
Let alone rent, she couldn't even afford meal expenses. The thought of eating the food in a place like this made her stomach rumble with anxiety.
It seemed she was not destined for this place. She was a mud-stained sparrow in a peacock's garden.
Tohka-san was so kind and approachable, taking care of her like an older sister, guiding her through the mansion. But kindness didn't pay the bills, and Hina knew the world didn't run on charity.
Amano Hina lowered her head, feeling an indescribable sadness. She prepared herself to say goodbye, to return to the rain and the uncertainty of the streets.
Tohka winked at Ren, her purple eyes communicating a silent plea. 'You wouldn't kick Amano Hina out, would you? This child... is very pitiful.'
While showing Amano Hina around the villa earlier, she also learned through conversation why she came to this city alone. The struggle, the loneliness, the desperate need to survive—it resonated deeply with Tohka.
After roughly understanding, she only felt that this child was truly pitiful. It reminded her of the times she and Rikka had struggled before meeting Ren.
If it were Rikka wandering the streets alone, hungry and cold, she would probably be heartbroken.
So she subconsciously treated her like a younger sister, and didn't want to just let Amano Hina leave like this. The city was a beast that devoured the weak.
If she left here, she seemed to have no way to survive in this city. She had no ID, no money, no connections.
It's really possible that one day she might end up in an adult entertainment establishment, used and discarded by society. The thought made Tohka shiver.
However, despite her pity, she still prioritized Ren's decision. He was the lord of this castle, the center of her world.
Tohka now considered herself Ren's wife. Her loyalty was absolute.
Fortunately, Ren had no intention of driving Amano Hina away. He wasn't a monster, despite what some might say about his insatiable appetite.
"What are you thinking? I brought Amano Hina back, how could I let her leave?"
Ren thought about Tohka and gave her a half-smile, his eyes gleaming with a mischief that Tohka knew all too well.
...
Tohka immediately felt a bad premonition. A chill ran down her spine.
She understood that this scumbag had set his sights on Amano Hina again. The look in his eyes wasn't just charity; it was the look of a collector finding a new prize.
Tsk, an old cow eating young grass, huh?
Rikka, Hinami, Shoko, Yuzuru, and the others weren't enough; he had to add Amano Hina to his ever-growing garden.
As expected of the ultimate scumbag! But he was her scumbag.
Ren didn't pay attention to Tohka's look, which was like she was looking at a pervert. He was used to it.
He reached out into the void, his hand disappearing into a ripple of space, and took out a set of black and white clothes. The fabric was high quality, the lace intricate.
Then he brought them to Amano Hina: "Work, girl."
"Huh?"
Work?
Amano Hina looked up in confusion, blinking tears away.
Where could she find work now? Who would hire a runaway minor?
Her gaze slowly focused on the clothes in Ren's hand.
This is... so familiar. A black dress, a white apron, a frilled headdress.
"Work as a maid here, with food and lodging included. And a salary that will make your eyes pop out."
"Eh?"
Ren thought that the current space was too large, and maid work couldn't be left to Amano Hina alone. The villa was expanding constantly, shifting to accommodate more residents.
Hina was just one girl. She would die of exhaustion before she finished cleaning the first floor.
He needed a professional team. A team that was loyal, efficient, and ideally, pleasing to the eye.
After some thought, a wicked idea formed in his mind.
He snapped his fingers. The air in the living room twisted violently, a vortex of dark purple energy tearing open the fabric of reality.
He teleported Albedo, Shalltear, Nabe (Narberal Gamma), and the combat maid squad—the Pleiades—along with their dozens of subordinate maids, directly from the Great Tomb of Nazarick to reality.
The sudden appearance of dozens of people in the living room startled Amano Hina. She jumped back, hiding behind a sofa.
The energy radiating from these newcomers was suffocating. It was heavy, dark, and terrifyingly powerful.
"Master!!!"
As soon as Shalltear Bloodfallen saw Ren, her crimson eyes lit up with a fervent, almost religious madness. She shamelessly pounced on him, ignoring everyone else in the room.
She grabbed his arm, pressing her body against him, intoxicatedly inhaling his scent like a drug addict getting a fix.
"Ahhh! It's the Master! The Supreme Being! Your scent... it's divine!"
Her entire face flushed with an unusual crimson. Her tongue darted out, licking her lips.
Even more outrageous, she even leaned her mouth downwards in front of everyone, her intentions clear and depraved.
"You... you damn lamprey!!!"
An enraged roar shook the room.
Albedo, the Guardian Overseer, kicked Shalltear onto the sofa with a force that would have shattered a tank.
"Get away from him, you filthy beast! How dare you defile the Supreme Being with your lust?!"
She hadn't even enjoyed her master's love yet, how dare this lamprey bastard try to cut in line?
The furious Albedo turned to face Ren. In a split second, her demonic rage vanished, replaced by the demeanor of a perfect, loving wife.
She immediately transformed into a gentle, serene, beautiful black and white angel succubus. Her golden eyes were filled with adoration, her smile sweet enough to cause cavities.
"Master. Albedo has arrived at your summons."
...
Ren's eyelids twitched.
How thirsty were these two? They had just arrived in a new dimension, and their first thought was to jump him.
Although Albedo looked proper now, standing with her hands clasped demurely in front of her, Ren's enhanced senses picked up details others missed.
If one listened closely, they could hear the sound of water dripping onto the floor. Drip. Drip.
And that sound came from within her pristine white dress.
Goodness, she's already there? Just by seeing him?
"Big-mouthed gorilla! You're courting death!!!"
Shalltear stood up from the sofa, her face twisted in rage. A black aura flared around her, and she summoned her Spuit Lance.
She wished she could tear Albedo apart with her bare hands. "I'll skin you alive and use your wings as a rug!"
"Cough."
Until Ren cleared his throat. The sound was soft, but it carried absolute authority.
She immediately calmed her emotions. The killing intent vanished instantly, replaced by terror and obedience.
Albedo, Shalltear, and the group of maids—Nabe, Solution, Entoma, CZ, Yuri Alpha, Lupusregina—all knelt on one knee in perfect synchronization.
The sound of armor clanking and fabric rustling filled the room as dozens of maids bowed their heads.
"Master!"
Their voices were neat and loud, echoing through the villa.
They quietly awaited Ren's command. Their loyalty was absolute, engraved into their very souls.
The previous farce seemed not to have existed. The jealousy, the rage—it was all suppressed before the will of the Supreme Being.
They were now merely subordinates loyal to their master.
"This..."
Amano Hina was stunned by the scene. She peeked out from behind the sofa, her eyes wide.
These women... they were beautiful, terrifying, and utterly devoted. One had horns and black wings, another looked like a gothic lolita vampire, and the rest were a colorful array of dangerous beauty.
Let alone her, even Tohka had never seen such a sight before.
Compared to Ren's power when he defeated monsters and saved the world—which was raw and destructive—Ren at this moment was more like a majestic king. An emperor ruling over a legion of demons.
Tohka's eyes couldn't help but show a strange light. It was awe, mixed with a deeper understanding of the man she loved.
Ren: "Albedo, Shalltear, are you willing to be maids?"
The two of them didn't know what their master wanted to do for the time being. Why maids? They were Floor Guardians!
But they still answered without hesitation. Their Master's wish was their command.
"Yes! It would be our eternal honor!" Albedo declared, her face flushed with joy. To serve him in his private quarters... the possibilities were endless.
"Alright, then you will all work with Nabe and the others to take care of this villa and the small manor."
Ren waved his hand, outlining their duties. "Cleaning, cooking, guarding. Make this place a fortress and a paradise."
Albedo and Shalltear and the others can live in the villa. They needed to be close to coordinate.
As for the other dozens of little maids, Ren will build a new dormitory in the small manor. He could expand the space infinitely, so housing wasn't an issue.
"Yes!!!"
Albedo and Shalltear now understood what was going on.
Being a maid seemed to lower their status compared to their roles in Nazarick. But here? In this new world?
But... this was an opportunity to live with their master forever! To breathe the same air, to see him every morning and every night!
Wasn't this a great favor? It was the ultimate reward!
So they agreed with incomparable excitement. Their eyes met, sparking with a new kind of rivalry—who could be the better maid?
Moreover, the two of them had already begun to imagine how they would serve Ren well.
Albedo was imagining waking him up with a special service. Shalltear was planning the night shift.
Ren knew exactly what they were thinking. Their lust was practically radiating off them in waves.
He sighed internally. I'll deal with that later.
After taking a deep look at the two of them, warning them with his eyes to behave, he turned his attention back to the trembling girl.
He said to Amano Hina: "For a temporary period, Amano Hina, you will work with them."
This 'temporary' in Ren's eyes meant before he had taken Amano Hina. Before she graduated from maid to mistress.
If he let her stay without doing anything, she probably wouldn't feel at ease. Her pride wouldn't allow her to be a freeloader.
"Gulp! Hmm, can I... can I really do it well?"
Amano Hina looked at the Pleiades. They stood with military precision, their uniforms immaculate, their expressions professional and deadly.
These maids looked so professional, Amano Hina didn't feel like she could do it at all. She was just a clumsy high school girl!
"If you can't do it, learn. Solution, you teach her."
Ren pointed to the blonde maid with the spiral curls. Solution Epsilon.
"Yes, Master," Solution stepped forward, her blue eyes gleaming with a predatory light. "I will definitely teach her to become a perfect maid. I will break her down and rebuild her if necessary."
Ren felt very at ease leaving Amano Hina to Solution.
Although Solution was a Slime who enjoyed devouring humans, she wouldn't harm Hina against his orders.
Their original negative justice value and aversion to humans had long been resolved by Ren. He had rewritten their loyalty parameters to include his "guests."
Now, Albedo and the others, though still arrogant, no longer looked at their own people like bugs. They viewed them as... pets. Or valuable property of the Supreme Being.
Hmm, the key is 'their own people'; others were still like bugs in their eyes. Anyone outside this villa was fair game.
