Chapter 706: Black Saber! White Spear Saber! The King of Knights and Her Many Wives!
In the vast, intricate machinery of the Nasuverse, the world is protected by mechanisms far beyond human comprehension.
These mechanisms are known as the Counter Force.
They are invisible vortices of power, absolute antibodies designed to protect the planet from destruction. They possess no will of their own, activating only in response to threats that could end the world, manifesting with power scaled perfectly to ensure victory.
The two major aspects of this force are Gaia and Alaya.
Gaia is the Counter Force of the Planet itself. It represents the will of the Earth to survive, arising from the planet's primal desire to continue its existence regardless of what lives on its surface. It summons Elementals and True Ancestors to crush threats to the ecosystem.
Alaya is the Counter Force of Humanity. It represents the collective subconscious of all primates. It arises from humanity's desperate prayer to avoid extinction. It is the force that empowers Heroic Spirits, ordinary humans who made contracts with the world to become Guardians, eternal cleaners who slaughter threats to ensure human history continues.
And what appeared now before Ren and Ria... was the avatar of Alaya.
The space around them warped. The air grew heavy with the weight of billions of human souls.
From a golden rift in reality, a figure emerged.
It took the form of a small girl, a "loli" in appearance, yet her eyes held the cold, indifferent weight of eternity. She was the administrator of the Throne of Heroes.
"Is she... the Counter Force?"
Ria—Artoria Pendragon—felt a chill run down her spine. The aura radiating from this small girl was identical to the presence she had felt on the Hill of Camlann when she made her desperate pact for the Holy Grail. This was her employer. This was the entity that owned her soul.
Ren, however, didn't flinch. He sat comfortably on a luxurious chair that had manifested out of thin air. He smiled faintly, his blue eyes glowing with amusement.
"Alaya, right?"
"Ugh!"
The moment Ren spoke, the cosmic entity flinched violently. Her body trembled, and the aura of indifference shattered instantly.
"That's right! I am Alaya! Please, Sir, don't hurt me!"
Thud!
Without a second of hesitation, Alaya dropped to her knees. She prostrated herself on the floor, her forehead touching the ground in a perfect dogeza.
She was the collective will of humanity, a force that could erase timelines. But she possessed absolute survival instincts.
How could she not know that a monster had appeared in her domain? She had watched Ren tear open the path to the Root for the Einzbern golem. She had watched him rewrite the laws of Fuyuki City.
She knew this man could wipe her, Gaia, and the entire timeline out of existence with a thought. Even Gaia, the arrogant will of the planet, had gone dormant, hiding in the inner sea of the earth like a frightened turtle.
If Ren hadn't specifically summoned her to discuss the Servant beside him, Alaya wouldn't have dared to manifest at all.
"..."
Ria was utterly stunned. Her jaw dropped.
The high and mighty Counter Force—the entity that held the souls of heroes like Hercules and Gilgamesh in its grasp—was kneeling before Ren like a terrified servant.
"I... I truly underestimated Master's existence," she whispered to herself.
Ren ignored Alaya's pathetic display for a moment. He reached out and pulled Ria onto his lap.
"Ah!"
Despite her shyness, Ria didn't resist. She obediently leaned against Ren's chest, her silver armor clinking softly. The intimacy felt natural now. Instinctively, she nuzzled his neck, inhaling his scent which calmed her racing heart.
Ren chuckled faintly, stroking Ria's blonde hair. He looked down at the shivering loli on the floor.
"Alaya. I want Ria."
"Alright! She's yours! Take her!" Alaya agreed instantly, lifting her head with hope. "Is that all? Can I go now?"
However, Ren shook his head slowly.
"You misunderstand. I don't just want her contract for this war. I mean everything about her."
Ren's voice dropped an octave, resonating with absolute authority.
"Her history. Her legend. Her existence on the Throne of Heroes. Every version, every possibility, every timeline of Artoria Pendragon. All of it belongs to me now. Cut her off from this world forever. She is no longer a Heroic Spirit of Earth. She is mine."
"Eh?!"
Alaya froze. Her eyes widened in horror.
She had originally thought Ren only wanted this specific Saber class servant.
But... to cut off the entire concept of "King Arthur" from the Throne of Heroes? To remove a cornerstone of human history from the records?
"Uh... Sir... I... I can't do that."
Alaya said with a bitter, tearful face.
"I exist to protect human history. Artoria Pendragon is a Singularity Point. If I remove her concept entirely, the structural integrity of the Human Order will collapse! The timeline will unravel!"
"You can't do it? That's fine."
Ren smirked. He raised his right hand.
"Then I will do it."
He closed his hand into a fist.
[System Authority: Conceptual Overwrite.]
CRACK!
"Eh eh eh!!!"
Alaya screamed as she felt the metaphysical structure of her domain being ripped apart.
She felt a corner of the Throne of Heroes—the section dedicated to the King of Knights—being physically torn off.
History screamed. The concept of King Arthur vanished from the records of the world. The timeline began to shake violently, threatening to dissolve into chaos.
But just as Alaya prepared for the end of the world...
Hummmm.
The trembling world suddenly stabilized. Ren had filled the void with his own power, stitching the wound in reality instantly. The world continued, but Artoria was gone from its memory.
"Eh?"
Alaya blinked, checking her systems. Everything was stable.
She looked up to see Ren holding a massive, swirling golden sphere of light in his hand. It contained the entire concept of Artoria Pendragon.
Ren scoffed at the terrified loli. "What are you screaming about? I'm not trying to destroy your precious world. I just took what belongs to me."
"Ugh! I-I'm sorry, Sir! I was presumptive!"
"Don't you know the rules?" Ren joked, looking at her prostrate form. "To apologize to a superior, you have to strip naked and beg for forgiveness."
It was a crude joke, a test of her subservience.
However, Alaya, being a conceptual entity with zero shame and 100% survival instinct, actually did it.
Poof.
Her clothes vanished.
"I'm sorry!!! Please forgive this foolish collective unconsciousness!"
"..."
Looking at the naked, prostrating loli crying on his floor, Ren didn't know what to say. He sighed.
"Put your clothes back on. I was joking. Get out of here before I change my mind."
"Yes, Sir! Thank you, Sir!"
Alaya vanished instantly, fleeing back to the safety of the Root.
Ren turned his attention to the golden sphere in his hand. "Now then... Ria."
He crushed the sphere gently.
Flash!
The ball of light split into multiple distinct figures, materializing around them in the room.
"They are...!!!"
Ria's eyes widened. She stared at the women surrounding her.
Every figure resembled her. They all had her face, her emerald eyes, her blonde hair. But they were different.
There was a young girl in white armor, looking innocent and full of hope—Saber Lily, the Artoria who had just drawn the Sword of Selection.
There was a woman in a heavy black gothic dress, with pale skin and golden eyes, looking at everything with cold disdain—Saber Alter, the corrupted tyrant.
There was a woman in a futuristic cap and tracksuit, holding dual blades—Mysterious Heroine X.
And there was...
Ria's eyes fixed on the tall, majestic woman in silver armor and a royal cape. She held a glowing holy lance. But most notably, her chest was... magnificent.
"That one... has a very large chest... not at all like me!" Ria whispered, feeling a strange pang of jealousy towards herself.
This was Lancer Artoria, the version of the King who wielded Rhongomyniad and grew into adulthood.
Ren smiled faintly, looking at his collection. "They are you at different classes, different ages, and different possibilities. All of them are Artoria."
Saber Lily stepped forward first, blushing. "Umm... are you my Master?"
Saber Alter scoffed, crossing her arms. "Hmph. You look like a man with strange tastes. But... I don't hate it."
Lancer Artoria, with her mature and regal bearing, walked gracefully up to Ren. Her hips swayed with a confidence Ria didn't possess.
She leaned down, her ample bosom pressing against Ren's arm, and naturally kissed him on the lips, right in front of the stunned Ria.
"Mmph..."
She pulled back, licking her lips. "Are you my Queen? Or perhaps my Consort?"
Ren smiled, enjoying the assertiveness.
He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling the mature King closer. "You're wrong, Lancer. I am your King. And you... all of you... are my Queens."
"..."
Lancer Artoria was stunned for a moment. Then a gentle, submissive smile appeared on her face.
"Yes. My King."
Afterward, she transformed into a ray of pure white light and merged into Ria's body.
Ren spread his arms wide, looking at the others. "So, what about the rest of you? Won't you come and be intimate with your King?"
"Tch. Greedy man."
Black Saber (Alter) snorted unhappily. She walked over with heavy steps. "Don't think this makes me obedient."
But her body honestly and intensely sought a kiss from Ren, her tongue aggressive and demanding.
Then she also transformed into a ray of black light and merged into Ria's body.
Saber Lily, blushing furiously, gave Ren a shy peck on the cheek before turning into white light.
One after another, the variants merged.
When the final Artoria merged into Ria's body, an incomparably powerful force surged within her spirit origin.
Ria gasped, clutching her chest. Her mana capacity skyrocketed. Her mind was flooded with memories—of tyranny, of hope, of holding a lance, of hunting Sabers in space.
"Are they... all me?" she whispered, trembling.
"It's us."
A chorus of voices immediately echoed in Ria's mind.
["Finally, we are whole again."] - Lancer.
["Shut up, cow-tits."] - Alter.
["Eeeh! Everyone is so loud!"] - Lily.
They hadn't disappeared. They had merely merged into Ria's soul, becoming her strength and her inner council.
But Ren had done more than just merge them.
"They are part of you now, Ria," Ren explained, stroking her cheek. "But not only can you draw on their power... you can switch with them. Or, if I wish it, they can manifest individually."
This was Ren's doing. How could he bear to let all his various wives disappear? A Harem of Artorias was every man's dream.
"!!!"
Ria was utterly dumbfounded. She looked at Ren, then listened to the bickering voices in her head.
