Chapter 1 - The Sealing (Prologue)

The vast universe and its tapestry of stars seemingly stretches to infinity, within the endless celestial constructs countless lifeforms were born and even more died, empires rose from the ashes of fallen kingdoms, galactic wars raged through whole galaxies while tribal chiefs make peace to coalesce into a single village, beings of vast power despaired at their empires downfall and a wild beast celebrates yet another successful hunt.

Innumerous events happened every passing second and yet no amount of mountains that crumbled and planets that were destroyed seemed to contain any significance on a universal scale for every mountain that crumbled a taller stood behind it and planets were more numerous than atoms one could observe at a time.

To the inhabitants of this universe it seemed eternal, until the day it proved itself as mortal as any of its inhabitants.

The sky was breaking, the angel paused, well... more accurately space itself was shattering, the universe slowly consumed by an eerie golden light that poured out of an unknowable amount of cracks in the shattered space.

Watching the divine spectacle before itself, the angels lips curled into a half-hearted smile "So much life... lost all because you lot refuse to accept what has and always will happen"

Turning around the angel looked down at the seven figures kneeling before it, their bodies bound by glowing chains that looked forged from starlight.

The angel's smile widened into a broad smile, its kaleidoscopic eyes however shone with a hopeless light "Why do you resist? Why must you refuse the inevitable? Can't you just... accept that this is how everything will ever be?" Its words grew more intense with every question and its humanoid body seemed to form cracks revealing endless swirling eyes beneath its skin, ignoring its splintering humanoid form the angel wrenched the chain from the central figure's mouth.

"All I ever wanted was for things to simply follow the natural order, why do you have to struggle like this? Cause yourselves and everyone involved to suffer?" The shifting eyes beneath the angel's skin protruded outwards forming into folded wings and gaping mouths.

Searching for a response the angel wrenched the chains from the mouth of the central figure. As soon as the chains fell from his mouth the figure, shrouded in shadows of broken light, spoke ,"I suppose your proud, after aeons of this back and forth we lay before you finally defeated, you have restored 'order' to this broken universe" he gestured to the surrounding space that was shattering in the background revealing beams of golden light.

As if in shock the countless protrusions emerging from the angel's fragmenting body became illusory and vanished leaving behind only the angel's humanoid form "Proud? you think I would be proud of this massacre? Demon of Pride... No, Lucifer, my old friend, have I really fallen so low in your eyes?" It got no response from the former Angel of Morning Star.

Behind the Demon of Pride the remaining six figures, one after another, shattered their star forged chains as if constrained by paper.

"I see, faking capture to eliminate me," The angel let out a chuckling sigh "This is quite the unfair battle for me, why don't we-"

Before it could finish its sentence the enemy was upon it, their once vaguely humanoid

figures split open to reveal divine twisting monstrosities that would crumble the minds of lesser creatures, the angel seeing this let its own body unbind transforming into endless rings of eyes and pearly white wings, in the very centre of the feathered vortex a set of golden scales that radiated a sense of 'order' could be seen.

The angelic figure clashed with the seven opposing beings causing the already deteriorating space to crumble further, all the stars and planets had already been dissolved into the golden lights, all that remained was the sound of the space shattering exchanges between the god like figures and soon even that faded into silence.

"What a shameful loss" the angel now back in his humanoid form muttered in a dull voice, across his once flawless visage countless wounds now claimed their spots, one of its eyes were gouged out now dripping with ichor.

A sickly yellowish-green chain was plunged into the angel's right hand, oozing with a strange liquid that let out thick poisonous plume, its left hand was bound by a pale-blueish chain that seemed forged out of endless regrets and apathy, its two brilliant white wings, now reduced to little more that bloodied branches, were shackled by a solid black chain, flecks of gold scattered around like stars that adorned the sky and a pale-green chain that radiated a sickening oily stench, Its left leg was confined by a dazzling purple chain that seemed to give off a soft, gentle glow and around its right a chain of blazing red roared angrily at the universe itself, finally a blinding white chain that gave a sense that it could do no wrong was stabbed into the angels head.

The now chained angel's eyes slowly closed and a shrine that seemed made of 'degeneration' formed around it, as the angel faded into the increasingly real shrine a small whisper escaped the angel's lips "I lost for this round, but I cannot remain here... I hope to see you all once more some day"

In the distance of a now fully destroyed universe Pride looked at the fading angel and gave an emotionless smile before turning around and vanishing.
