GA: Chapter 203 – A Nun Who Fell From the Sky; Accelerator's Different Titles
Even if that basic knowledge benefited Konoha no less than the ninjutsu—even if it was more important—the same principle still applied.
These points were something he owed Konoha. Once everything settled, he would earn them back his own way and continue putting them toward the village.
Ordinary Group Owner: "You don't have to be so formal about it. You're Konoha's Hokage."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Setting aside Hiruzen—neither Hashirama nor Tobirama should have any objection."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "So where does this leave us? The mission depends on Minato's decision—but this mission's target is stronger than Minato. If the target has any grievances toward him and decides to act, it wouldn't be difficult. Should we select the mission participants first and have them go over to keep an eye on things?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "He probably wouldn't do something like that—but having a precaution can't hurt."
Ordinary Group Owner: "I follow the logic—but why are you the one bringing it up?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "It's not like you can participate in the mission yourself."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Have you developed an anti-Kaguya armor or something?"
Su Yunqing asked with genuine puzzlement. Even though everyone wanted to participate, shouldn't this kind of suggestion come from someone whose strength was actually relevant—or at least not too far off?
Even Tony's later suits probably couldn't resist mystical-type power.
Lighthouse Tycoon: "???"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "You may have the wrong impression of me. I'm simply expressing unilateral concern for a fellow group member."
Northern God's Glory: "Shiba Inu side-eye grin.jpg"
Golden Flash: "Naruto shouldn't do anything like that. In the parallel timeline, after unifying the shinobi world, he revived that world's version of me and Kushina. Based on the mission description, he's been in this world for a while—if he intended something, the shinobi world wouldn't be this quiet."
Electric Shock User: "What if he's observing? Like noticing that this world's version of you has a different level of strength from what he'd expect?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "That's possible."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Speaking of which—Railgun, you've been quiet for a while. Have you been busy lately?"
Electric Shock User: "Not particularly busy."
Electric Shock User: "Just a minor development."
Misaka Mikoto glanced at the girl beside her and said it with some hesitation.
Ordinary Group Owner: "A development?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Such as?"
Electric Shock User: "A nun who fell from the sky. With a hundred thousand grimoires in her head or something."
Ordinary Group Owner: "A nun? A hundred thousand grimoires?"
Su Yunqing didn't register it at first—then it clicked, and her expression went instantly blank and stunned.
Ordinary Group Owner: "Index?!"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Holy—isn't that supposed to be Touma's storyline?!"
Ordinary Group Owner: "You've become the protagonist?! Wait, that's not quite right either—Railgun is a main character too—so what does this make you?"
Electric Shock User: "A few days ago a Saint was chasing after me. And a magician as well."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Kaori Kanzaki and the others? And then?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Curious.jpg"
Electric Shock User: "I gathered some people. Fought them."
Electric Shock User: "Once we'd beaten them up enough, we talked it out."
Electric Shock User: "They didn't know anything about the science side—so we gave them a crash course."
Electric Shock User: "Though you really can't have a proper conversation without a fight first."
Electric Shock User: "These past few days have been exhausting."
She said it casually—but only she knew how anxious she'd been throughout all of it.
Especially Kanzaki. Her strength simply wasn't human.
Oh—right. She wasn't human. She was a Saint.
Ordinary Group Owner: "You gathered some people?"
Electric Shock User: "Accelerator, Shokuhou, Kuroko. Still barely managed to hold our ground."
Electric Shock User: "I thought Accelerator would be able to handle her. He couldn't."
Not that Misaka Mikoto had any particular issue with that—she'd have been perfectly happy watching Accelerator get beaten up. It just didn't happen.
He simply didn't know anything about magic, which put him at a disadvantage in the fight. And Kanzaki looked like she was holding back anyway.
What had truly left her speechless was that even after she warned Accelerator, the guy had initially just stood there treating Kanzaki like a regular person or an Esper, completely motionless—and almost got himself killed.
Ordinary Group Owner: "That makes sense. I haven't watched much Index, but I've read a fair amount of analysis."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Most agree that Accelerator would lose to Kanzaki, though a small minority think early-series Accelerator could beat her."
Ordinary Group Owner: "What I find confusing is some of the titles and power comparisons people use for Accelerator—some of them I really don't follow."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Like 'Statue Guy,' 'Electric Pole Guy,' 'Dark Wings Guy,' and 'White Wings Guy.' The last two I understand. Statue Guy I can kind of get—he likes to stand there and take hits, then reflect everything back with his vector manipulation. But what does 'Electric Pole Guy' mean?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Are you asking us? If you don't know, we definitely have no idea either."
Turn Da gu into Soup: "This is exactly when we should @Child of Nature."
Child of Nature: "…The topic has wandered again."
Child of Nature: "The science-side Accelerator—if it's the Electric Pole title, it's probably from the spinoff series within this franchise."
Child of Nature: "Though I haven't watched much of it. I only have a rough idea."
Like Su Yunqing—he tended to watch one anime and move straight to the next without going deeply into any of them. So these titles weren't something he could confirm with any certainty.
Ordinary Group Owner: "Haha—we're all only half-otaku, aren't we."
Ordinary Group Owner: "I've barely even bought any figures."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Official ones are too expensive. Bootlegs I don't want to buy."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Sigh.jpg"
Ordinary Group Owner: "But more importantly—why did Index end up with you?"
Electric Shock User: "Don't ask me—I have no idea."
Electric Shock User: "Shrug.jpg"
Electric Shock User: "Index's head has a hundred thousand grimoires in it, but because of the seal, I don't dare have her write any of them down."
Electric Shock User: "Sitting on a mountain of treasure and not being able to use any of it—this feeling is awful."
The value of those hundred thousand grimoires—even falling short of a Magic God's level, it couldn't be that far behind. Maybe getting her to Level 7 was a stretch, but getting to Level 6 should be perfectly achievable.
A shame. She simply didn't dare use it.
