Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Loulan

Early Year 50 of Konoha, Loulan

"It's the A-Rank Rogue Ninja Uchiha Yue! Everyone, be careful!"

Minato Namikaze, with his golden hair and Konoha forehead protector, tightly gripped the special three-pronged Kunai in his hand. His gaze was incredibly wary as he quickly warned his two companions—Aburame Shibi and Akimichi Choza.

However, Uchiha Yue, standing on the edge of the high tower, paid no heed to their defensive stance. He merely faced the dry, hot night wind blowing from the desert and looked calmly at the incredibly prosperous city beneath his feet.

Loulan.

In the world before his Transmigration, this name was merely a term that existed in anime movies and setting books.

A historical island of isolation that prospered because of the "Dragon Vein" and ultimately marched toward total destruction because of it.

At this point, I hope readers will take note of our domain wkkan.com while waiting for your search.

And now, he was truly standing on this isolated island.

Towering purple-black giant towers stood like a forest deep in the desert, with intricate, thick metal pipes interwoven between the buildings like the veins of the earth.

Purple Chakra light flowed along these pipes, illuminating the entire night sky and decorating the city like a dreamlike future metropolis.

As a transmigrator, Uchiha Yue had been in this cruel Ninja World for over twenty years.

He was born into the Uchiha Clan, the proudest yet most tragic noble family in the Ninja World.

Relying on his transmigrator Soul and the advantage of foresight, he didn't expose his brilliance too early like those so-called geniuses, but instead cultivated steadily.

Until the clouds of the Third Shinobi World War loomed, and in a brutal slaughter, he naturally awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan and stepped into the Kage-level.

But he did not choose to become a hero of Konoha.

Because he knew very well that beneath Konoha's seemingly bright "Will of Fire" lay the bottomless darkness of Root, led by Danzo, and the Uchiha massacre that was destined to happen in the future.

As for why he was so certain the Uchiha would be wiped out in the future?

The answer stemmed from a concept that filled him with deep despair—"world correction force."

This was a cruel Law he had personally verified with lessons of blood.

When he first transmigrated, he had conceitedly thought he could change everything with his knowledge of the plot.

He once tried to save Uchiha Obito, the boy who wore goggles and always talked about his companions.

To this end, he tried every possible means to interfere with the battle at Kannabi Bridge.

The result? The giant boulder at Kannabi Bridge indeed didn't hit Obito, but on another meat-grinder-like battlefield shortly after, Obito was still ruthlessly crushed by the boulder of fate, falling into the same abyss and leaving that Sharingan to Kakashi all the same.

Similarly, a few years ago, he tried to help "Konoha's White Fang," the semi-mentor who had given him some pointers on swordsmanship.

He secretly guided public opinion, trying to shield the White Fang from those invisible, lethal rumors.

But fate's mockery was even more piercing; the inertia of the plot triggered an even more violent backlash, and the time of the White Fang's suicide in despair was even earlier than he had anticipated!

There were far too many such bloody examples. Every attempt only resulted in a more cruel correction of the timeline.

These experiences were like heavy hammers striking Yue's heart, making him completely clear-headed.

Without accumulating absolute power sufficient to overturn the entire chessboard, any small move to reverse key historical nodes would be met with even more ruthless crushing by this world.

Currently, his strength was far from enough to resist this "world correction force."

Staying in Konoha, the only thing waiting for him was to become cannon fodder of the era along with the Uchiha Clan.

So, a month ago, on a dark and windy night, he packed his bags. Without alerting anyone or killing any companions, he quietly severed his ties with Konoha.

No one knew why he defected.

But in the eyes of Konoha's high-ranking officials, the sudden disappearance of a Jonin who had awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and knew many secrets was no less dangerous than a bomb that could explode at any time.

Therefore, a wanted order was quickly issued. Despite having no actual criminal record, he was directly classified as an extremely dangerous "A-Rank Rogue Ninja."

"Uchiha Yue..." Minato Namikaze's deep blue eyes stared fixedly at the young man in the black high-collared robe with a short sword on his back. "I didn't expect to meet you here. What is your purpose for infiltrating the Land of Wind? Is it also for the 'power' of this city?"

Minato's voice pulled Yue's thoughts back from the heavy memories of the past.

"Minato Namikaze... and the elites of the Aburame and Akimichi clans."

Yue's voice was very calm, without a hint of panic in the face of strong enemies. "Instead of staying in Konoha, what are you doing here in Loulan, deep in the desert of the Land of Wind? Oh, let me guess... the Third Hokage sensed a temporal disturbance and sent you to investigate the 'Dragon Vein' here, and while you're at it, deal with that guy named 'Mukade,' right?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the hearts of Minato's trio were shaken.

This mission was an absolute secret issued by the Third Hokage!

How could the opponent know their mission objective and the enemy's background so clearly?!

"He knows too much. We absolutely cannot let him interfere with the mission!" Aburame Shibi, wearing sunglasses and a high collar, said in a low voice.

As his voice fell, a scalp-numbing buzzing sound came from under his wide robes.

Countless black clouds of Kikaichu, like a black sandstorm, instantly surged out and swept toward Uchiha Yue, covering the sky.

"Everyone, don't look into his eyes! Watch out for Genjutsu!" Minato shouted, his body lowering slightly as he focused all his attention on finding an opening for a fatal strike.

The battle broke out instantly.

"Insects? What they fear most is fire."

Facing the swarm of insects that could instantly devour an elephant into white bone, Uchiha Yue chuckled. His hands turned into a blur, and his hand seal speed was so fast that even Minato couldn't help but have his pupils shrink slightly.

Snake - Ram - Monkey - Boar - Horse - Tiger!

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A massive blast of flame erupted from Yue's mouth.

Boom—!

The violent flames collided fiercely with the black swarm of insects.

The air was immediately filled with the pungent smell of burning protein.

Large swaths of Kikaichu turned to ash in the high temperature and fell rustling down.

"Partial Multi-Size Technique!"

The moment Yue spat out the flames, a huge shadow loomed over his head.

Akimichi Choza had somehow leaped into mid-air. His right arm suddenly expanded dozens of times, turning into a giant hand like a small mountain, crashing down toward the top of the tower where Uchiha Yue stood with the force of Mount Tai.

Rumble!

The stone slabs on the tower roof instantly shattered, and dust rose everywhere.

But Choza frowned because the feeling was wrong; he had only hit a Substitution Log.

"Above!" Aburame Shibi warned.

Uchiha Yue was in mid-air like a light falling leaf. His Three-Tomoe Sharingan spun rapidly, taking in the Chakra flow and subtle movements of the three people below.

Just as he was about to weave seals in the air to counterattack, a golden flash abruptly pierced the night sky.

Minato Namikaze had made his move!
