Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: A Deal with Orochimaru

Yakushi Kabuto pushed up his glasses, revealing a smug smile. "I simply severed your biceps and other key muscles. Now you have no strength in your arms."

"Your strength is not bad, but it's a pity you messed with the wrong person. If you honestly come with me to see Lord Orochimaru now, you might suffer a little less."

The look of shock on Yagami Light's face quickly faded, replaced by a mocking, half-smile. He narrowed his eyes slightly, his lips curling into a cold arc.

"Is that so?"

Yagami Light's figure instantly vanished from where he stood. Yakushi Kabuto's expression changed, and he immediately struck a defensive pose, but it was too late.

A blue sphere of Chakra slammed fiercely into his chest.

"Rasengan!"

"Boom!"

Yakushi Kabuto was sent flying as if struck by a heavy hammer, crashing hard into the rock wall, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Yakushi Kabuto's Chakra Scalpel was indeed precise, capable of severing an enemy's muscles and paralyzing their movements. But Yagami Light was a Wood Clone; he had no muscles.

Having read the original work, he knew Yakushi Kabuto's fighting style and had formulated this tactic.

As for the Rasengan, he couldn't very well use the main body's techniques. Notice how he didn't even dare use his sword, fearing it would expose his habitual movements.

Techniques like the Rasengan didn't matter; they wouldn't lead anyone to suspect the main body.

"Cough, cough—" Yakushi Kabuto coughed up blood, clutching his chest with his right hand as he struggled to stand.

"Oh! Not bad! To think you used Chakra to protect your heart at the last moment."

He hadn't held back at all with that attack; even Kakashi would have lost the ability to act if he had taken it head-on.

Yakushi Kabuto struggled to lift his head to look at him. "Rasengan? Do you have a connection to Konoha?"

Yakushi Kabuto hadn't expected to be hit by two Rasengans in such a short time.

The difference was that the Rasengan from Uzumaki Naruto had only caused him some internal injuries, while this one had severely damaged his internal organs.

If he didn't receive treatment in time, he would truly be going down to meet Director Yakushi Nonou.

At that moment, a figure emerged from the basement, completely ignoring the injured Yakushi Kabuto, and looked at Yagami Light with interest. "To be able to injure Yakushi Kabuto to this extent, who are you?"

"Evil God, Yagami Light."

"Evil God?"

"I have heard of the existence of the Evil God Cult in the Land of Hot Springs. You wouldn't happen to be related to the Evil God they worship, would you!"

Yagami Light nodded. "That's right. It is me they worship."

Whether it was useful or not, increasing exposure was good. What if Orochimaru had a moment of stupidity and decided to believe in his Evil God Cult?

"Hehe..." Orochimaru didn't believe him at all, licking his lips. "So, what is your business here?"

Seeing that they were getting to the point, Yagami Light straightened his expression. "I've come to make a deal with you."

"Oh! What kind of deal do you want to make?"

"I want all of your biological knowledge."

Hearing this, a look of surprise appeared on Orochimaru's face; he hadn't expected the other party to ask for this.

To put it bluntly, people in the entire Ninja World who understood biology were as rare as phoenix feathers and unicorn horns. Even Tsunade only learned it because of medical Ninjutsu; she had never delved deep into its essence.

"Heh heh! That's possible. But what are you going to exchange for it?" Orochimaru looked at him with interest.

The other party was very strong, and to dare to come for an exchange, he must have some reliance. He was very curious about what the other party would bring out.

He hoped it would be interesting; there wasn't much in the Ninja World that could interest him nowadays.

Yagami Light took out a test tube covered in dense, intricate seals. He casually tossed the test tube to Orochimaru, speaking in a nonchalant tone: "Take a look first."

He had long since tampered with the test tube; it would completely lose its effect when the time came, so he wasn't afraid of Orochimaru going back on his word or reneging on the debt.

"Oh! You are quite confident." Orochimaru gave him a surprised look; he hadn't expected the other party to hand over the trade item so easily, without fear of him reneging.

He immediately opened the test tube to look, and his expression changed drastically. As an expert in researching Hashirama cells, he instantly discovered that the contents of this test tube were similar to Hashirama cells, but unlike Hashirama cells, they weren't explosive; instead, they were very mild.

He suddenly lifted his head to look at Yagami Light. "I need to conduct an experiment to study this."

Yagami Light extended his right hand, making a gesture of invitation. "Of course, but I won't wait for you for long."

Upon hearing this, Orochimaru looked at him deeply, as if trying to see through his trump cards and confidence. This kind of defenseless composure only made the doubts in his heart grow heavier.

"A guest is a guest. Come with me." Saying this, he turned and entered the basement.

Yagami Light didn't seem to care whether there was an ambush inside and followed him in leisurely.

Seeing that the two had reached an agreement, Yakushi Kabuto coughed, clutched his chest, and walked in. His internal organs were starting to bleed, and he needed to treat them quickly.

"Amazing! I didn't think such a thing existed in the Ninja World." Orochimaru observed the white zetsu cells, exclamations constantly escaping his lips.

At this moment, the time set by Yagami Light arrived, and the white zetsu cells, destroyed by the Natural Energy, lost their effectiveness one after another.

Seeing this, Orochimaru's pupils constricted. He hadn't expected the other party to have such a method; no wonder he was confident enough to hand the item over to him.

"Heh heh! I agree to this deal." As he spoke, Orochimaru's mouth opened to an eerie degree, widening more and more until it soon exceeded the size of his own head.

"Ugh..." A giant scroll was spat out by him and tossed to Yagami Light.

Yagami Light didn't mind the wet surface of the scroll; he opened it directly to look, nodding with satisfaction when he saw the experimental data.

He also took a scroll out from his bosom and tossed it over; inside was one foot of a White Zetsu.

Orochimaru caught the scroll and opened it impatiently, taking out the foot. He stroked it carefully with his hand, his eyes filled with fanaticism, as if looking at some rare, priceless treasure.

This scene made Yagami Light's scalp tingle, and goosebumps rose all over him. This person was truly a pervert.

After a long while, Orochimaru reluctantly put it away.

Subsequently, he walked toward Yagami Light, a look of curiosity appearing on his pale face. "Yagami-kun, can you tell me what kind of creature this is, and where you obtained it?"

Yagami Light seemed not to be guarding against the approaching Orochimaru and shrugged. "Unfortunately, I obtained it by pure chance, and this was the last of my stock."

"Is that so? That's a real pity."

At this moment, Orochimaru, who had already reached Yagami Light, suddenly extended his neck and bit toward him.

Yagami Light seemed to be stunned with fear, remaining motionless and allowing Orochimaru to bite his neck.

"Got you." After injecting the Cursed Seal into his body, Orochimaru revealed a look of surprise; he hadn't expected it to go so smoothly.

Suddenly, an unexpected turn of events occurred. A massive surge of energy erupted from Yagami Light's body; Orochimaru didn't even have time to dodge, and his entire body was flattened by the massive amount of Chakra.

Yagami Light's full-power release of the grell stone's energy was in no way inferior to the blow of a Tailed Beast.

"Boom—" The violent energy exploded with Yagami Light at the center, and the massive shockwave instantly tore through the rock wall. The stone pillars supporting the laboratory fractured inch by inch, and the rock layer overhead began to peel and collapse.

In just a moment, the entire underground laboratory completely collapsed amidst the roaring sound, buried under thick earth and stone.
