Life was pretty easy these days for everyone in the party. Brie could teleport anywhere she wanted, much like Sora and Celeste, and telepathic speaking with Sora and Celeste made private conversations much less awkward.
On a cool, December night before the big trip to the Vampire settlement, Brie and Sasha decided to spend some time together. Brie teleported them to the cozy little cabin at her honeymoon spot.
"Woah, this is where you and Sora spent your honeymoon? So much sun! It's gorgeous!" Sasha exclaimed as they landed.
"Yes, it was pretty special. Celeste made this place just for us. You wanna ride the jetskis? They're so much fun!"
After racing around the water for a while, Sasha eventually slowed to a stop and Brie caught up with her. She was happy her friend wasn't an expert on the water.
"What's wrong?" Brie asked.
"I really don't want to go back to the settlement."
"Is it because you're going to have to see Lucious? Let's ride in and get changed." Brie suggested.
"Yeah… that has a lot to do with it." Sasha said as she raced off. Brie sped behind her and caught up. They got changed and sat down for some drinks. Brie had a glass of wine and Sasha had wine mixed with blood.
"The sunset's nice." Sasha said somberly.
"What's really going on with you? You act like I didn't see you and Levi kiss. Sora and I played it off because you two obviously didn't want anyone to know–but why? I think everyone in the party already assumes you're friendly." Brie asked in a concerned tone.
"You know damn well why," Sasha said as she gulped an entire glass of wine and blood, filling it with another.
"What's so wrong with Lucious?" Brie asked.
"Nothing. He's a great guy. What if someone told you that you couldn't marry Sora and you had to marry someone just because they were an Original vampire?" Sasha retorted.
"I'd be pissed." Brie admitted.
"Exactly. So as soon as I get there, it's just going to be awkward as hell. Levi and I haven't just kissed. I don't know. All I know is Levi makes me happy and he's not too serious about things. Sure, he's like 70 years younger than me and can be a little out there sometimes, but it isn't forced."
"You don't think Levi is going to cause a scene or anything, do you?" Brie asked, worried.
"He knows. He also knows I'm not into an arranged marriage so who the hell knows what he'll do. I just hope he doesn't go challenging Lucious to a duel. He'll get his ass kicked," Sasha said as she took another gulp of her drink.
"Slow down!" Brie said as she took the glass away from Sasha.
"It's a girls night, I'll get drunk if I want too," Sasha said as she took the glass back.
"You don't think Levi can beat Lucious in a duel?" Brie asked with an eyebrow raised.
"You haven't seen the things that man can do. He's a Moonveil. He has the shadow," Sasha said with a frown.
"Shit. Those are the blue eyed vamps, right?" Brie asked.
"Ha, yeah. Never really thought about it. That'd be like getting married to you!" Sasha finally laughed. "Seriously though. Levi has NO shot."
"He can break out of Sora's illusions, though." Brie said encouragingly.
"So could you before you were a goddess," Sasha said. "He could make Levi disappear if he wanted to."
"You know Sora and I wouldn't let that happen."
"Yup, let the two gods and goddesses deal with everything again, drink up everyone!" Sasha said sarcastically.
"Then don't go. If you're going to be a bitch to me about it stay home. I came here to hang out with my best friend and maid of honor, not someone whose going to throw the fact I just went through hell to become a goddess for MY HUSBAND just because you're on an emo trip about not having the courage to tell your Father or Lucious you don't want to marry him," Brie said as she stormed off.
'Shit. That's not how I wanted this to go.'
"Brie, wait up I'm sorry!" Sasha said as she rushed into the living room.
*****
"It's not that simple! I can't just go tell an Original vampire family, hey weddings off!" Sasha said.
"Then let Levi fight for you…" Brie said sternly.
"And what if he loses? Then I look like a fool in front of the entire vampire alliance."
"Do you know how many times Bishop kicked Sora's ass before he won in MeadowSong? At least 50. Sora never backed down, not once. I have elven magic and Sora's magic now. Just have Sora link with him, genius." Brie said while rolling her eyes.
"Wait, that's actually a really good idea." Sasha said excitedly. "They'd have no clue."
"Have him freeze time if Levi gets in a pickle. Levi will be able to teleport. Just work out a plan with him before he fights." Brie suggested. "Have him talk to Sora."
Sasha gave Brie a big hug. "Sorry I was a bitch. Thanks a bunch bestie."
"No problem. I'm going to get some sleep. We leave for the settlement tomorrow so I'd go have that convo with Levi."
"Let's just go back to the mansion, I need to talk to Sora too." Sasha said.
Brie teleported them back to the mansion and Sasha ran up to Sora and had a quick conversation with him.
Sora smiled and pointed toward the dojo. Brie appeared next to Sora.
"I know that look," Sora said with a laugh.
"Fucking ridiculous. They say we're the drama queens," Brie said while rolling her eyes.
"How come Sasha never mentioned she had an arranged marriage?" Sora asked politely.
"Why would she? Would you?" Brie asked.
"Hell no," Sora said with a laugh. "Fortunately I didn't have to and I got to choose who I wanted."
Sora teleported them back to their bedroom.
*****
"Levi, I need you to grow a pair and kick Lucious' ass when we get there so I don't have to marry him." Sasha said while giving him a big hug.
"Uh–didn't you say he's some unbeatable foe who you're doomed to be with forever," Levi said sarcastically.
"Shut up," Sasha said as she kissed him.
"So what's the plan?" Levi asked.
"Have Sora link with you and don't get caught in his shadow. Watch his eyes. They flicker blue when he's about to use any abilities," Sasha said with a smile.
Levi's sword started shaking against the wall in its sheathe. He went and pulled it out.
Words started forming on the sword:
"To win the heart of the one you admire, use Sora's gifts if you desire."
'Hmmmm.' Levi thought. 'I'm in a party with a god and a goddess, I don't think Dorian would be upset? I really don't want to piss off our alliance, though.'
"Uh, Sasha. What if this disrupts the alliance?" Levi asked.
"It won't. I asked Sora to talk to Dorian when we get there. What Dorian says goes, so, you'll be fine."
"You aren't just using me as some tool to get out of your marriage are you?" Levi asked passionately.
"Of course not Levi. I adore you, maybe it's time we tell the party?" Sasha said with a kiss.
"That's your call," Levi said with a smile.
Sasha grabbed Levi's hand and sprinted to Sora.
"Hey can I use your microphone thingy for the sound system?" She asked excitedly.
"Sure, fourth floor," Sora smiled.
"Hey everyone! Just a fyi Levi and I are kind of a thing so when we get to the vampire settlement you can crack all the jokes you want!" Sasha's voice beamed loudly with excitement.
"HA! The payback is going to be so real!" Sora yelled for everyone to hear.
Everyone in the party gave them their congratulations before Sasha brought Levi back to her room.
Levi's sword wasn't the only thing shaking in Sasha's bedroom that night.
