LOMAN'S HEAVEN – CHAPTER 2: "THE TEST SUBJECT"
---
INT. VIMAR'S HUT – NIGHT
A soft breeze sways the thatched roof. Kamal sits across from VIMAR, still processing what he just heard.
VIMAR (softly)
No, Kamal… this is Planet Loman's.
KAMAL (scoffs)
Lo-what!?
VIMAR
Loman's.
KAMAL
So... you seriously don't know what Earth is?
VIMAR (shakes head)
No...
Kamal suddenly slams the table. Vimar flinches.
KAMAL (angrily)
Then how the fuck are you speaking my language? Why do you even look human? Where are the alien antennas and slimy shit they show in movies?!
VIMAR
I... I don't know.
KAMAL (mocking)
You "don't know"? Really?
VIMAR (offended)
Look, I don't even know who you are! When I found you, you were half-dead. I fed you. Took care of you. And now you're interrogating me like I'm the fucking problem?
Kamal breathes hard. Realizes he's gone too far.
KAMAL (calms down)
I'm sorry, man. I really am. I'm grateful. But just... put yourself in my shoes. One minute I'm home... next minute I'm here — in some world with two suns, no explanation. You'd lose it too.
VIMAR
How do I know you're not the one lying?
KAMAL (serious)
Why would I lie? You said yourself I looked like I was about to die. Why would I fake that to screw with some random dude in a hut?
VIMAR (muttering)
I... I don't know.
---
SFX: DEEP VIBRATION. THE GROUND TREMBLES.
KAMAL
Wait—something's wrong.
VIMAR
What the hell's happening?
The walls start to shake. Kamal clutches his head in pain. The world distorts.
---
INT. KAMAL'S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Kamal suddenly jolts awake — drenched in sweat, gasping for air.
KAMAL
Mom! Dad!
His parents rush in.
MOTHER
What happened, son?!
KAMAL (crying softly)
It was just... a dream.
MOTHER
What dream?
KAMAL
Nothing. Just... a nightmare.
He wipes his tears. But his hands are trembling.
---
EXT. LONELY ROAD – DAY
Kamal walks alone. Distracted. Paranoid. Processing. Suddenly—
BAM!
A black van screeches in. He's pulled inside before he can scream. Cloth over his face. Darkness.
---
INT. UNKNOWN ROOM – HOURS LATER
Lights flicker. Kamal wakes up tied to a chair. Two strange men stand before him.
MANOHAR (calmly)
Hello, Kamal. I'm Manohar.
LOKESH (grinning)
And I'm Lokesh. You can call me loki.
KAMAL (spits)
Who the fuck are you? What do you want?
MANOHAR (smiling)
How was Loman's Heaven?
Kamal's blood runs cold.
KAMAL (stunned)
Wha—how do you know about that?
LOKI
Because... we created it.
Kamal blinks, stunned.
MANOHAR
LO-kesh and MAN-ohar. Loman. That's our world. Our creation.
LOKI (proudly)
We built it from scratch. A utopia. No currency. No race. No hierarchy. No hate. Just balance.
MANOHAR
It's our Heaven. A world where no one's born broken.
Kamal stares, baffled.
KAMAL
And me?
LOKI
You were the lucky test subject. The first to enter.
KAMAL (laughs in disbelief)
So I'm the chosen one, huh?
MANOHAR
In a way. We didn't expect you to last that long in there.
We found something special in you when you were admitted into hospital last month.
KAMAL
Why did it feel so fucking real?
LOKI
Because it is real. To you. From the outside, you're just a player in a simulation. A moving dot. But in there... you're alive.
KAMAL (processing)
So... none of it was real? The hunger? The running? Vimar?
LOKI
Just part of the world. Think of it like a game — but with stakes. If you die in there, you just wake up here.
KAMAL (quietly)
That... actually puts everything together.
MANOHAR (smiles)
So. Are you ready to go back?
Kamal leans back, nods slowly.
KAMAL (smirking)
I'm in.
LOKI (surprised)
That was fast.
KAMAL (shrugs)
At first, I was terrified. But now... now I know it's a game. And I love games.
