"Oh my~ Count, you truly are cruel. I was invited from afar as a Dancer, and you, the host, are going to unilaterally reject my enthusiasm?"
As soon as the words fell, Elsa suddenly took a big step forward, bringing her beautiful, charming face close to Roswaal's.
A gust of fragrance swept over, but Roswaal reacted as if facing a great enemy, immediately recoiling as if electrocuted, his hands instinctively guarding his abdomen.
After making these movements, Roswaal immediately realized something was wrong.
Elsa, however, showed manic delight in her eyes without any concealment; she was now certain that the person before her must have a problem.
"I'm done for, I'm OOC..."
Roswaal put on a long face and slowly raised his head to look at Elsa.
To be precise, it was Grin using "Transformation Magic" to look like Roswaal.
"OOC? Is that a magic spell? Too bad, Mr. Fake Count, no matter what magic you use, at this distance, your Intestines will spill out of your body before your magic does."
Saying that, Elsa's right hand reached behind her waist.
She was about to draw her blade!
I'm about to get stabbed!
"Wait a moment, Miss Elsa, I still have something to say!"
Grin shouted in a panic, trying to buy a sliver of life.
Elsa's movement paused slightly; she looked at Grin with interest and laughed coldly, "Oh my~ Do you have any last words to say?"
Grin hurriedly pulled out a bright red fruit from his pocket and said:
"Beauty, how about eating an apple first to calm your anger!"
Slash!
The blade flashed, slicing the apple in half horizontally. If Grin hadn't pulled his hand back quickly, he probably would have been cut into a Doraemon.
"Are you toying with me?"
A rare spark of fire appeared in Elsa's eyes.
"Cunning rabbit, an apple laced with poison. How stupid would someone have to be to willingly eat it?"
"Wow, do you dare say that again in front of the Sun Princess!"
Grin complained while backing away.
"So you're an affiliated party~ Wonderful~ This makes things much easier to resolve."
Elsa unfastened her cloak, revealing her proud figure.
The mention of the Sun Princess by Grin confirmed for Elsa that he belonged to Priscilla's faction.
But the thought of having a new character whose stomach she could slice open caused a morbid smile to bloom on Elsa's face.
"Oh my, this is the first time I've drawn my blade against an 'Employer'~ This strange feeling, is this the legendary~ Sense of Betrayal~ Ah~ How wonderful~"
"Hiss!"
Grin shivered, an intense chill shooting straight up his spine.
"Here's the insignia, I have something to do, I'm leaving first!"
With that, Grin threw the object in his hand towards Elsa and quickly turned to sprint away.
Clink!
Elsa caught it with her left hand, which was not holding the blade. Opening her five fingers, she saw it wasn't an insignia, but a worn-out Silver Coin.
Faint blue veins pulsed on her snow-white forehead.
"Hahaha~ What a cute little act. This time, I'm going to use the back of my blade to scrape open your intestinal lining!"
"Help! Murder! Fire! Assault!"
Grin shouted as he ran, constantly spitting out words that could attract bystanders' attention.
But Grin was surprisingly fast, managing to pull a distance between himself and Elsa for the time being.
Elsa's high-heeled boots stepped into the sewage with a sound as light as a cat's, yet every step felt like it was stomping on Grin's eardrums, as if the Grim Reaper would descend the next second.
When the Northern Kukri was drawn, there was no flashy sound of metal friction, only a short, cold 'Zheng' sound, like an ice lake shattering.
The blade was so thin it was almost transparent, yet it emitted a faint blue cold light under the moonlight. With a casual wave, the back of the blade slid across her forearm, the edge cutting through the air, emitting an extremely faint whistle.
"She's here!"
Grin immediately turned to block.
Clang!
The sound of metal collision rang out, dull and powerful.
Elsa's Kukri was stuck on a golden hand mirror.
"Ah! Master, please don't do this to me! My, my mirror surface is going to get scratched!"
Clang, clang, clang!
The two exchanged several more blows, and the magic mirror's edge developed nicks.
"Help! They're killing the mirror!"
Elsa seized an opening and delivered a sweeping kick that struck Grin squarely in the abdomen.
Grin was sent flying backward, using the momentum to create distance while simultaneously unleashing magic.
"Shadow Devour!"
The shadows in the darkness came alive.
It first seeped out from under Grin's feet, like a flattened centipede, crawling along the base of the wall towards Elsa.
Elsa seemed to sense it, tapped her toes, and shifted sideways three feet without warning.
The Kukri swept out a silver arc, slicing the lunging shadow in half at the waist.
A crisp sound exploded in the darkness, like a hard disk falling to the ground. The shadow, cut in two, let out a baby's cry before instantly dissolving into black smoke.
"Damn it, she can even cut shadows?"
"Shamak!"
There was no choice; since Grin's attack didn't work, it was time to deploy ink.
A dense black fog enveloped the surroundings, buying Grin the golden time to escape.
"Master, Master, flee south quickly! The coordinates for the Sword Saint you are looking for have suddenly appeared!"
The magic mirror didn't want to get hit again and quickly offered Grin advice.
Grin didn't have time to think and fled according to the route the mirror provided.
In the blink of an eye, Elsa emerged from the black fog.
It's no wonder this skill is garbage; it only seems effective against minions. Using it on an expert, you'd be lucky to restrain them for three to five seconds.
"A talking mirror, could it be a Spirit? I wonder if I can find some warm internal organs after slicing the mirror open..."
Elsa stroked her flushed cheek with one hand and elegantly followed the direction Grin had taken.
As if foreseeing something, the magic mirror quickly urged, "Master, run faster! I feel like that crazy woman wants to dissect me! Waaah, this is too scary!"
"Hey, shut up! Aren't I running as fast as I can!"
Grin sprinted desperately, occasionally pushing over nearby objects in an attempt to slow down the pursuing Elsa.
Before long, he was about to run out of the Slums' perimeter.
If he could just get through the alley entrance ahead, he would reach the Civilian District!
Whoosh!
A sound of something breaking the air rang out, and a throwing blade flew toward him.
Grin's internal alarm bells went off. He grabbed the magic mirror like a racket and slammed it down.
Clang!
The throwing blade was repelled and stuck straight into the ground.
"Oh my heavens! Master, I'm disfigured, boohoo!"
The magic mirror wailed. He swore he would find Grin a suitable weapon, preferably a shield.
In a flash, Grin finally burst out of the alley entrance, and the lingering warmth of the sun shone on him once more.
It was already evening, and there were few pedestrians left on the street.
"This is the first time I've felt the world is so beautiful!"
"Master, the person you're looking for is right there!"
Grin looked in the direction indicated and indeed found that shock of flame-like red hair on the street, the signature hair color of the Astrea Family.
The Sword Saint, Reinhard van Astrea, was the strongest person in the world! The pinnacle of all successive Sword Saints, possessing countless Divine Protection abilities. If that guy made a move, this damned crazy woman would immediately have to kneel!
If that guy made a move, this damned crazy woman would immediately have to kneel!
"Get out of the way, you ignorant fools! A murderer is coming!"
Grin shoved the remaining pedestrians, and with his current clownish appearance, he instantly scared them into scattering and fleeing.
