Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Rebirth

After traveling for some time, Rorin finally arrived outside the Uchiha clan grounds, where he had arranged to meet Uchiha Itachi.

Peeking inside, he saw that Uchiha Itachi was already there waiting.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Rorin waved at Uchiha Itachi and spoke.

Uchiha Itachi, who had been resting with his eyes closed, opened them and shook his head.

"It's fine. I just got here not long ago."

Even though he had actually been waiting here for three days, making preparations in advance.

Rorin slowly walked over to Uchiha Itachi and asked, "Did everything go smoothly on your end? Did you get your father's eyes?"

Uchiha Itachi nodded slightly, then took out a cultivation container from his clothes. Inside was a pair of eyeballs.

"It went fairly smoothly. Nothing unexpected happened," Uchiha Itachi said calmly.

Rorin looked at the pair of eyes, then nodded. "Then let's begin."

The two exchanged a glance and walked into a room together. Suddenly, Rorin turned around and looked at Uchiha Itachi.

"Oh right, do we need to find a surgeon to perform the transplant?"

Uchiha Itachi froze for a moment. He had originally assumed Rorin would handle the procedure, so he hadn't considered it.

"Aren't you doing it yourself?" Uchiha Itachi asked in confusion.

Rorin scratched the back of his head awkwardly and laughed.

"Well… I can't. That's my fault, I didn't explain it clearly before."

Although he had learned One's Own Life Reincarnation, that didn't mean he was proficient in medical ninjutsu—let alone something as precise as an eye transplant.

Uchiha Itachi lowered his head in thought. Rorin suggested,

"How about asking Tsunade-sama for help?"

Uchiha Itachi shook his head.

"No need. It's just a simple eye replacement surgery. I'll take care of it. Wait here for a bit."

With that, he turned and left.

Rorin nodded and closed his eyes to rest within the Uchiha clan grounds, while also communicating with the system.

'System, why won't you help Uchiha Itachi with the surgery?'

[Replying to host: I can only assist you, not others in this world. That is part of our operational rules. I serve only the host.]

'Alright, it's not a big deal anyway.'

An hour later, Uchiha Itachi returned to the clan grounds, followed by a female doctor in a white coat.

Hearing movement, Rorin opened his eyes and glanced at the medical ninja. Her eyes were vacant—clearly, Uchiha Itachi had hypnotized her with his Sharingan. Rorin even felt a strange sense of familiarity.

"Everything is ready now. Let's begin," Rorin said as he stood up.

The three of them arrived at the sterile operating room Uchiha Itachi had prepared. They performed pre-surgery disinfection together, changed into sterile clothing, and entered the operating room.

"First, I'll use One's Own Life Reincarnation to transfer my life force to you," Rorin said seriously.

Uchiha Itachi nodded calmly. "Alright. I'm counting on you."

He lay down on the operating table, waiting quietly.

Rorin placed his hands on Uchiha Itachi and began transferring his life force into him using One's Own Life Reincarnation.

Since it was Rorin's first time actually using this forbidden technique, he was extremely cautious. About fifteen minutes later…

Uchiha Itachi's complexion gradually became rosy, while sweat continuously formed on Rorin's forehead. The hypnotized female doctor stood beside him, wiping away his sweat.

Rorin let out a long breath. He had already transferred about one-third of his life force into Uchiha Itachi—enough to restore his body to full health.

"How do you feel now?" Rorin asked weakly.

Hearing this, Uchiha Itachi sensed the changes in his body and looked at Rorin with gratitude.

"The hidden injuries I had before are gone. I can feel abundant vitality now. My whole body is filled with strength. Thank you."

Rorin waved his hand, then looked at the female doctor. "The rest is up to you."

With that, Rorin stepped away from the operating table. The female doctor nodded mechanically and began the eye transplant surgery.

An anesthetic was injected into Uchiha Itachi's body. It was local anesthesia, so he remained conscious during the operation.

Two hours later, the female doctor finally completed the surgery. After finishing, she stepped back a few paces—then collapsed unconscious.

Rorin had observed the entire process from behind. Nothing had gone wrong; the transplant should have been a success.

Uchiha Itachi's original eyes had also been carefully removed and placed into a new nutrient container. Rorin stepped forward and wrapped bandages around Uchiha Itachi's eyes.

"The surgery was a success," Rorin said softly.

Uchiha Itachi nodded slightly, finally feeling relieved. Even though it was just a minor operation, there's always the fear of the unexpected.

Rorin glanced at the unconscious female doctor on the ground and asked,

"Where did you get her from? I'll take her back."

"Mm, thanks. I brought her from the Hidden Leaf Village hospital," Uchiha Itachi replied calmly.

Rorin's mouth twitched slightly.

"You've got some nerve, just taking someone straight out of the Hidden Leaf Village. No wonder she felt familiar."

"It was the closest option. Others were too far, and I trust the Hidden Leaf Village's doctors more," Uchiha Itachi said indifferently.

Rorin walked over to the female doctor, picked her up, then looked at Uchiha Itachi.

"You should rest here for a while. I'll head out first."

With that, Rorin used Flying Thunder God and returned to the Hidden Leaf Village, secretly delivering the female doctor back to the hospital.

Afterward, Rorin headed straight to Ichiraku Ramen, pushed aside the curtain, and found a good seat.

"Teuchi-san, give me three bowls of your best ramen. I need to replenish myself!" Rorin called out.

Five days later, Rorin returned to the Uchiha clan grounds. After five days of rest, he had fully recovered the life force he had lost.

Carefully, Rorin removed the bandages from Uchiha Itachi's eyes.

Uchiha Itachi calmly opened his eyes. A brand-new Mangekyō Sharingan pattern gradually appeared. His eyes were no longer the original triangular shuriken shape.

Instead, they had become a six-pointed shuriken pattern. At the center of the pupil was a blank circle, while along the edge of the iris were three small black dots arranged in a triangular formation.

"Looks like everything went smoothly," Rorin said with a smile.
