Chapter 3 What a coincidence!
"Head Nurse, is there anything you want to buy today?" Leosley asked Siegwen.
"Um... I want to buy a dress..."
"I'll take you there."
"Okay."
"Just follow me."
Leosley led Siegwen to a fabric shop
called Tianyi Fang.
It was a small clothing shop, built from scratch by its owner.
Moreover, everything sold here was unique, never duplicates.
Because of this shop, the owner would periodically create clothing according to customers' needs, ensuring a different style each time, so everyone could find something they liked.
This shop was very famous in Tiandou City. Although the shop wasn't large, business was booming.
Every day, nobles flocked here to choose clothes, keeping the owner extremely busy. Moreover, the prices were very high; ordinary people couldn't even afford to look.
The main reason for coming here was that Siegwen's clothes all needed to be custom-made, so she had to come to a place like this.
Melusin's body was different from humans, making it difficult to buy suitable clothes. Even Siegwen, whose body is almost identical to a human's, struggles with how to position her tail when trying on human children's clothes.
The clothing store displayed rows of exquisite window displays, showcasing a variety of beautiful garments in various colors.
Among them were long dresses that Siegwen loved. There were also cute dresses, adorable lace, bows, and dresses with delicate trim.
However, none of Siegwen could buy them directly; she needed something custom-made.
Because everything in the clothing store was a unique, handcrafted design.
Siegwen and Leosley entered.
The shop owner, a middle-aged woman, wore a deep purple pleated skirt and held a black umbrella, which she propped up on the ground. Seeing Leosley and Siegwen enter, a joyful smile immediately appeared on her face.
"It's His Excellency the Duke and Miss Siegwen! Welcome."
"Long time no see, Madam," Leosley said casually, his expression natural.
"Madam Alice, long time no see. How was the medicine you prescribed last time?" Siegwen leaned forward slightly and quickly waved her hand.
But as before, she was concerned about the other person's health first.
"It's fine, it's fine. Thanks to the medicine Miss Siegwen prescribed, I feel much better now." Madam Alice looked at Siegwen and said with a smile.
"You're welcome, but Madam Alice should still exercise more. Sitting all the time isn't good for your health."
"Okay, I understand! Thank you for your concern, Miss Siegwen." Madam Alice thanked her. "Let's take your measurements first."
Alice's martial soul was an embroidery needle. Although she didn't have soul power, her martial soul allowed her to make clothes that were more beautiful than those in ordinary clothing stores. Combined with Alice's own tailoring skills, her craftsmanship was quite remarkable.
Mrs. Alice knew who wanted the clothes made. Since Siegwen's "spirit mutation" prevented her from retracting her spirit, it wasn't an isolated case, just very rare. The main reason for the custom order was Siegwen's height.
So, after taking her measurements, Mrs. Alice took out a sketchbook: "Miss Siegwen, what kind of clothes would you like to wear this time? Please give me a general idea."
Siegwen thought for a moment and said, "I want a long skirt, not too thick, so my tail can be seen. Oh, and it would be best if it had pockets, so I can put candy and stickers in it!"
Mrs. Alice raised an eyebrow; Siegwen's request wasn't too difficult: "Okay, I understand. Please wait a moment, I roughly know how to do it. It should look very nice."
"Thank you for your help," Leosley smiled.
"Your Grace, you're too kind," Lady Alice said with a slight smile.
"How much?" Leosley was about to take out his money when a voice rang out.
"No need, I'll pay for them." With that, a figure slowly approached.
"Oh? It's His Highness the Crown Prince!" Siegwen greeted the newcomer with a standard Melosin greeting.
"Miss Siegwen, how have you been?" Xue Qinghe smiled and reached out to touch Siegwen, but she dodged.
Xue Qinghe awkwardly smiled, his hand still unsure of where to go.
Actually, it wasn't that he intentionally touched Siegwen; it was just a habitual gesture.
"Your Highness certainly has a leisurely time," Leosley said with a half-smile.
"Hahaha~ It's rare for me to come out today, so I came to buy some clothes," Xue Qinghe laughed.
This reason was so ridiculous that even a dog wouldn't believe it.
The dignified Crown Prince of Tiandou, coming all the way from the Crown Prince's residence in the east of the city to the north just to buy a piece of clothing? Nobody would believe it ! Leosley didn't believe it, Madam Alice didn't believe it, and even Siegwen didn't believe it, okay?
Because she lacked soul power, Madam Alice's shop, although popular with nobles, wasn't actually expensive; even ordinary people in Tiandou City could afford it.
Therefore, her shop was conveniently located between the commoner and noble districts.
The Crown Prince's residence, on the other hand, was almost entirely in the middle of the noble district, right next to the palace. Tiandou City was a large city in the Douluo Continent; traveling from the east to the north was no small distance.
And who was Xue Qinghe?
The Crown Prince of the Tiandou Empire! What kind of Crown Prince would personally go to a shop to buy clothes? Unless he was out of his mind.
"Your Highness really should get out more often. Sitting all the time handling official business isn't good for your health, and it's not good for blood circulation," the naive Siegwen said, not seeing anything wrong with it, simply offering a suggestion.
"Uh..." Xue Qinghe paused, then smiled helplessly. "I understand, thank you, Miss Sigwen."
Sigwen always talked about other people's bodies, making it impossible to stay angry.
"However, the clothes are something Your Highness needn't worry about." Leosley didn't like receiving favors, because it was difficult to repay debts,
even for something as small as this.
Besides, it was too high-profile.
Xue Qinghe's arrival aroused the curiosity of some nobles.
If they remembered correctly, Leosley and Xue Qinghe were two completely unrelated people.
Their personalities, preferences, and social statuses were different; they hadn't seen Leosley and Xue Qinghe meet many times.
And now, Leosley had actually run into Xue Qinghe?
And Xue Qinghe was paying for his clothes??
This was incredible.
Could it be that
His Highness wanted to win over this "Duke"?
Or perhaps, Miss Sigwen...
Siegwen is very popular in Heaven Dou City, and due to her "spirit mutation," her fame even surpasses that of the Heaven Dou Crown Prince.
It's safe to say that if Siegwen were to speak, many people would be willing to do anything for her.
