Synopsis
Isaiah's waiting for his final exam of the year to end when the sky illuminates and he loses all sensation in his body. Next thing he knows he's dragged into a tournament to decide the protector of earth and that earths under the threat of countless cosmic beings. Will he fold or will he be the saviour the planet needs? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first time writing so I apologise if my writing skills are shaky and I'm no good at trying to make an interesting synopsis that could make people read but if you enjoy progression fantasy and darker realistic characters and relationships give this a try as I really want to try add something new to webnovel.

Chapter 1 - I just wanted to live a little

This bullshit story of mine started with me doing what millions of students around the world do.

Waiting for my Final maths exam to end and for my last summer vacation to start before I go off to college.

I was dying from the anticipation of all the things I could get up to, guilt free, in the summer. No more worrying about exams while I stay up all night drinking and scrolling webnovels. No more having to wake up hungover just to go to school in the morning and be treated like a child despite being eighteen. No more getting rejected because girls have to "focus on their studies," they'll have to be more creative now.

I would finally be able to go outside and live a little.

But no, the world couldn't give me a shot at freedom for a couple months, as the second the timer for the exam reached zero things weren't as they should be.

There was no rushing out the exam hall,

There was no one discussing exam results with their friends,

There was no teachers telling us to leave quietly.

There was just silence.

I looked around and to my dismay what I saw was an empty exam hall.

My first thought was fuck I fell asleep mid exam and I was terrified about what this meant for my maths grade.

However, it wasn't long till I realised this hypothesis was incorrect as shortly after my mental meltdown over my maths grade I found myself seeing a harsh bright light and actually falling asleep.

NOTHING could prepare me for what I would have to go through once I woke up.
