Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Watching a Movie with Mother

"As you wish, Your Majesty," Amy replied in a calm and professional tone, before disappearing just as suddenly as she had appeared.

Mother turned back to me with a warm smile, gently stroking my hair. The cold authority she had shown moments ago vanished completely, replaced by her usual affection.

"Yes, my dear. Mother is a queen of the Yokai Continent. Mother is very powerful, you know?" she said softly, kissing my cheeks.

"Powerful? Very? How much?" I asked, hoping to understand her strength… and the structure of this world.

She placed me on her lap, facing her, and instead of giving a short answer, she began explaining everything in detail.

"Once your magic core awakens and you begin practicing magic, power is divided into stages known as Densities."

She spoke calmly, as if reciting something fundamental.

"Density One to Three, the Awakened. At this stage, a mage begins to perceive the flow of magic, but the body is still heavy and fragile."

"Density Four to Six, the Weavers. Magic begins to alter the body itself. At this point, one relies less on physical food and more on magical energy."

"Density Seven to Nine, the Transcendent. The body becomes partially intangible. At the ninth stage, one is no longer made of flesh, but of pure intent."

Her voice grew quieter, more solemn.

"Beyond that… comes the Great Leap. Astral Ascension."

"The being abandons the physical plane and enters the Ethereal, where time is no longer linear and life can last for millennia."

She continued without pause, her words painting an immense and overwhelming hierarchy.

"After that come the Immortal Realms."

"Herald of the Void, those who have just surpassed mortality."

"Constellation Architects, beings capable of creating worlds or manipulating stars."

"Eternal Symphonics, entities who govern the laws of physics and magic across entire galaxies."

Then her tone shifted, almost reverent.

"And finally… the Absolute Pinnacle. Singularity."

"At that point, there are no intermediate stages. The self collapses completely. Body, mind, and soul merge with the fabric of the universe itself."

"You cannot be partially everywhere. You are either an individual… or the Absolute."

"Each race in existence has only one Singularity that safeguards its conceptual existence."

I stared at her, stunned.

She continued as if it were nothing unusual.

"There are also hidden experts and ancient monsters. In total, the number of supreme-level beings does not exceed fifteen."

"The Dragon Race has two. The Dragon Empress Iride, and her daughter, Princess Aurora."

"The Demon Race has Lilith as their Supreme. She rarely leaves her palace and shows little interest in external affairs."

Mother sighed slightly.

"She is a good friend of mine and visits from time to time… though I've forbidden her from coming recently. I need to focus on raising you. She can be quite troublesome."

I blinked.

Did she just casually call a supreme demon… troublesome?

"All of her duties are handled by her seven servants, the rulers of the Demon Continent. Each represents a sin: wrath, sloth, gluttony, greed, lust, envy, and pride."

"They are all extremely powerful, standing at the peak of the Emperor rank."

She continued, clearly enjoying explaining everything.

"The Demon Continent possesses all magical attributes except light. Their natural enemies are the angels. They rule over Hell, divided into seventy-two planes, each governed by a devil."

"They form contracts with mortals, granting power in exchange for a price."

"The strongest among them, such as Beel and Gremory, have reached the level of Constellation Architects, though they rarely interfere directly."

"The Angel Continent is led by an Eternal Symphonic named Joshua, with nine Heralds of the Void beneath him. Their strength rivals that of the demons."

"They possess all attributes except darkness, death, and destruction."

"Lilith, however, deeply despises Joshua."

I tried to keep up, but the sheer amount of information was overwhelming.

Still, with my adult mind, I forced myself to remember as much as possible.

"The Yokai Continent," she continued, "has one Supreme."

"There are five great clans. Most are led by a Count and Countess. The Yukionna Clan has only a Countess, specializing in exploration and expansion."

"The Nura Clan governs military affairs."

"The remaining clans handle internal management, diplomacy, trade, and resources."

Then she smiled softly.

"All clans serve under the Kitsune Clan."

She paused.

"Until recently, there were only two members… your sister and me."

She gently touched my cheek.

"Now, there are three. You, Alaric Von Vulpis."

She was about to continue, but suddenly stopped. Her gaze shifted away.

A faint magical presence filled the room.

Moments later, a projection device appeared.

It looked almost identical to one from Earth.

She brought it closer and asked,

"My dear, which movie would you like to watch? You may choose anything from this list."

I looked at the screen.

There were countless thumbnails, descriptions, and genres. All of them seemed tailored for children.

Still… the variety was impressive.

This world's media technology was far more advanced than I expected.

Without hesitation, I chose a romantic film.

Mother tapped the screen a few times. The room darkened, and the wall in front of us transformed into a massive display.

The quality was astonishing.

Far beyond anything I had seen on Earth.

The story itself, however, was simple.

A lonely man finds friends… then falls in love… and lives happily ever after.

Cliché.

Even for a child.

Still, I reacted as any normal child would.

Then came the best part.

The kiss scene.

Perfect timing.

I looked at Mother with an innocent expression.

"Mother… what are they doing?"

"They are kissing, my dear," she replied with a soft laugh, ruffling my hair. "That is what lovers do."

"Lovers?" I tilted my head.

"Yes. When two people love each other, they are called lovers."

I paused, pretending to think.

Then I looked at her, smiled, and opened my arms.

"Mother… kiss."

She looked amused.

After a soft laugh, she leaned in and kissed me on the lips.

Success.

I couldn't help but smile like a fool.

Seeing my expression, she chuckled.

"Do you want another?"

I nodded eagerly.

She kissed me again, this time lingering slightly longer.

I snuggled closer to her, returning to my usual habit, and before I knew it…

I fell asleep.

Aurelia looked down at my peaceful, sleeping face, her expression filled with quiet happiness.

There were few things in this world that could bring her such warmth.

She gently patted my head…

And soon after, she fell asleep beside me.
