The battle just would not end.
Wyverns kept flying above the forest. They were screaming loud. The Valtheris riders were still attacking.
Something was different now.
The riders were not as sure of themselves as they were before.
They were scared.
Because every time they came down to attack.
One of them would get hurt.
Ronan was standing in the middle of all this.
He had the Holy Spear in his hand. It was giving off a bit of silver light.
The light was not super bright or anything.
It was strong.
One of the riders came at him from above.
Ronan moved out of the way calmly.
He used the spear once.
It was a hit.
The rider fell off his wyvern before he even knew what was happening.
Another wyvern came at Tomas. He was already getting tired.
Ronan threw the spear at the wyvern.
It went through a wyvern's wing.
The wyvern spun out of control. Crashed into the forest.
Then the spear came back to Ronan's hand.
When it did.
Ronan stumbled a little bit.
Just for a second.
Elira saw it.
"Ronan, are you okay?" she said.
He did not answer her.
He had another vision.
He saw a battlefield.
There was magic everywhere.
Someone was calling his name.
Then it was all gone.
The curse was getting worse.
Kael blocked a rider's attack. He was hurt.
There was blood over his arm. He got hurt when he was protecting Elira.
Lina yelled from the top of a building.
"Can you still fight old man?" she said.
Kael smiled a bit. He was not okay. "Barely and I am not that old yet." he said.
Tomas fell to one knee. Another one of his barriers broke. "I am running out of mana here guys!" he said.
Vaelor was watching from above. He was not smiling anymore. He was just watching. Trying to figure things out.
"He is getting weaker " he said.
Then his wyvern screamed.
The forest below was different now.
The trees were taller and older.
The air felt old too.
Vaelor's eyes got narrower.
"Wait, we're already crossed the border to Sylvaris?" he said.
It was too late.
The group kept running into the forest.
The Wyvern Riders were still chasing them.
None of them knew.
They were now, in Elven territory.
Someone was already watching them from ahead.
