Introduction of the author who named is premchand.
Munchi premchand was born in a small village in u.p in 1880 and died in 1936 at the age of 56 year.his real name was dhanpat rai Shrivastav.he is a famous urdu and hindi novelist and short story writer.
He got his early education in his native village and passed ba examination in 1919 was nearly 45 year old.he become a teacher at a merger salary.then he became sub deputy inspector of school after promotion.he resigned at Mahatma Gandhi's call and under pressure of the government

Both,gishu and his son madhav are great shirkers.they are poor and hungry but they have determined to do as little work as possible.the father breaks off some twigs for firewood and the son sells them in the market.they steal potatoes and peas from some fields and eat them after roasting, them.they pluck tha sugeranc and suck them at night.
Both of them are completely indeferent of madhav's wife who is thrashing about in agony of childbirth.both of them are liars.they are spend the money meant for budhia's shroud on drink and foods.they are good-for-nothing who sing and dance in their inebriated condition.

Budhia, madhav'wife is central to the story yet she is seen by ghishu and madhav. When the story starts.she is in the throse of labour with not help at hand.she is was married to madhav a year ago.
She tried to bring about some order in people by working hard. She is in real bad shame now without any help, medical or, other wise.she is dies and their child also dies in her womb.madhav and ghishu fail to provide even a shroud for her.

Both gishu and madhav scream and baet their chest at budhia,s death.tha neigbours come to the comfort them and give them wood and bamboos for the pyre.both go to the village of zamidar who give them two rupees.other people also contribute.some money to make it 5 rupees.they go to a market buy a shroud cover to go cover.Budhia,s dead body but they spend all money on drink and food.they sing and dance in inebriated state and finely fall down in drunken stoper.

Both the father and son wanted to buy some cheap meterial for the shroud.then madhav says that it will be the corpse for the cremition and nobody looks at the shroud in the darkness.moreover,the shroud gets brunt along with corpse.ghishu says that the shroud is not likely to go with the Budhia her next abode.therefor, they do not buy a shroud.
